The end

Sorry this took so long, I had no idea what I was doing, but it's over now. Hope you enjoyed reading.

"Dee! It's time!" A ginger shouted through the door.

"I won't be out in a minute." The man in makeup chuckled, adjusting his hat in the mirror.

"Why does it take you so long? My makeup is more complicated." Sunny sighed, opening the door. A brunette man in a hat and fake scales present in the room.

"I simply don't know what you're talking about." Dee lied, letting his tongue move freely for once.

"Yeah, whatever. Anyway, the show is on." Sunny gestured to the entrance.

Then, the circus started. Dee introduced the audience to Sunny and Luno, along with a couple of other strange people. Immy was eating swords, Percy was distracting everyone while his twin, Brian, was bringing a rather small elephant over to pretend to chase Percy, while on a giant ball, and Si and Ma were the two clowns they had, then Sunny and Luno did their gymnastics tricks.  Finally, at the end Dee did a couple magic tricks with Sunny, Luno, and a snake, before ending the show.

Everyone filed out, smiles bright on the children, as they got what they came for. To be deceived into thinking that someone could take a sword and swallow it hole, that clowns could take the other's arm off, that the world was much funnier than it actually was. It was a comfort to them, just like most lies were.

But Dee was cut off guard by someone yelling his name, "Dee! That was awesome!" A chipper voice rang out, along with a couple deeper yells amongst it. Dee turned around to see five people standing there.

He could recognize Patton and Virgil. But the other three were foreign to him. "Why, dear Morality, whatever are you doing here?"

His brother laughed, smile bright on his face. "It's your birthday, silly. Of course I'd come see you."

"Your birthday? Oh! Why didn't you tell us?" Luno asked, peeking over Dee's shoulder.

"You never asked." Dee lied, everyone had asked multiple times, but it was more fun to keep them guessing.

"Same old Deceit." Luno flicked his friend's head, turning to the other people in front of them.

"Who are you?" Sunny and Luno asked at the same time.

"Oh, Dee hasn't told you about us? Well, I'm Patton, Dee's brother." The one in a blue polo explained.

"You have a brother?" Sunny frowned.

"No, I've told you that before." Deceit lied, because it was so much easier to say than the truth and it was relaxing to not have to go through saying you words before you said them.

"Anyway, that's Virgil, Remy, Elliot, and Picani." Patton pointed to each of the people with them.

"So, what they doin' here?" Luno asked.

"We're Patton's soulmate. Well, most of us are. Elliot and Picani just wanted to come to see the circus," Virgil explained.

"How in the world did you do that sword eating trick?" Elliot asked Immy.

"Lot of practice." Immy waved off.

"So you just kept swimming." Picani joked, earning an eye roll from his date.

"And I presume this is your fourth soulmate, Morality?" Deceit gestured to the strawberry blonde, who was sipping coffee.

"Dead right, sweetheart." Remy smirked.

"Well, just so you remember, if you pull any of the sh*t you did before, I have a trained snake with me." Deceit held up his snake, Ill.

"Hey, he's not going to do that again," Virgil growled.

"Just to be sure." Dee rolled his eyes. "It's good to see you again, Virgil."

"... Sorry about what happened last time we talked."

"Perfectly understandable, my dear Anxiety. I probably would have reacted the same way."

"No you wouldn't."

"True, I'd come to their house and scream," the magician chuckled, "anyway, I believe it's time for you all to go. I have to be up tomorrow for my job."

"It's five o'clock." Remy furrowed his brows.

"Yes, but I have to finish some paperwork, set Ill up for the night, get ready for tomorrow; just a very busy schedule." Deceit twirled his hand, before turning around.

"No, no! You, mister, are going to spend some time with your brother and his boyfriends." Luno pushed his friend back to the others.

"I don't have a lot to do right now, Luno, I have enough time to do this." Deceit hissed, letting his tongue go because of his frustration.

"We'll take care of it. Go have fun." Sunny smiled taking the snake, as Immy slowly backed away from the long creature.

"No."

"Yes." Luno teased.

"Fine, I'll go." Deceit sighed, walking to his friends.

"Can we come with?" Luno asked.

"Weren't you going to stay and take care of things?"

"The guys can do that. Come on, it's your birthday. We have to celebrate." Luno gestured around the place.

"No." Deceit smiled, signaling that he was lying, watching in amusement as the snake was given to Immy, who was  deathly afraid of them, but he knew better than to throw Deceit's snake, so he simply trembled.

"Alright, let's go!" Patton shouted, running to the exit.

"Where are we going?" Sunny asked.

"There's an aquarium restaurant, we were thinking there." Virgil explained.

"Cool!" Luno chirped, following the others.

They all got into a car, and went to the restaurant mentioned before. Once in, they ordered a table and decided on their meals, chatting while doing so.

"So, Dee, since it's your birthday..." Patton poked his brother. "What cake do you want?"

"Mint chocolate, as always." Dee smirked.

"You never change." Patton laughed. "So, anything happen lately? Any loooove interest I should know about."

"I'm aro, Pat."

"Aro? So, I guess that means you're invincible to cupid's aro." Patton joked.

"You are such a delight." He lied.

"Oh, you love me!"

"I can't. Aro, remember."

"Platonically, my aro bro."

"Nope, not even platonically."

"Too bad, cause I do!" Patton laughed, embracing his brother.

"Of course you do, you're pan, you love everyone. Anyway where's the other two nerds?" Deceit asked.

"Oh, you know Logan... He's always ace-ssing what he finds important first.  And birthdays are below his job."

"Did you just-"

"And Roman wanted to wish you a happy BI-rthday, but he had to go to work too."

"Why are you like this?"

"I would continue, but I can't think of anything that can be made a pun of with those two." Patton pointed to his two gay boyfriends.

"Can one of you stop him?" Deceit begged the soulmates.

"We can't." Virgil laughed lightly.

"And we don't want to. Suffer, sweetheart." Remy smirked wildly.

"I know why you never told us about your brother now." Luno smiled, while Sunny ordered the food.

"Okay, but who's your best friend, then?" Patton asked.

"Those two." Deceit pointed at the two brothers behind him. Though Luno was closer to him, Sunny would gawk if he said so.

"You can tell him." Luno whispered.

"Sure?"

"Don't mind."

"We're queer platonics to be precise." Deceit admitted.

"That's cute." Patton cooed, eyes practically tearing up.

"I immediately regret telling you."

"What's that?" Remy asked, "Not trying to be offensive, just oblivious."

"It's fine! We're basically just friends that do stuff like romantic couples do, like cuddle and kiss, but we don't go as far as make-outs and that stuff." Luno explained.

"Sweet." Remy mumbled.

"What you been doing while we've been gone?" Virgil questioned.

"Just the circus, not much time for anything else." Deceit stated. "You three get up to any more drama after Christmas?"

Virgil sighed; "Sassy, our dog, is getting on well. Elliot and Picani are together. And I think everyone's adjusted to Remy and Sassy living with us."

"That's good. Logan still dealing with the whole thing?"

"Nope, he's fallen out of love with Roman, at least mostly. He's good." Patton explained.

"So, everything's fine?"

"Yep!" Patton chirped.

Soon, they finished the food, smiles on their faces. They went back to the circus grounds and parted ways there.

"I hope I never see you again." Deceit lied.

"Aww, don't worry bro, I'll be back next month for my birthday, unless you want to come to my place." Patton suggested.

"Well, the circus coincidentally has a break during that day..."

"Awesome!"

"Well, I guess I'll see you soon."

"Not soon enough," Patton chuckled, "but yeah. I'll see you soon."

The groups stepped into the car, and left. Deceit was comfortable in the knowledge he'd see his brother and friends some time soon.

But for now, it was the end of the day. It was time to go to bed, and start a new journey tomorrow.

And that's the end. Sorry for making you all wait so long.
