Sweeties

This was so hard to write because I just don't ship Prinxiety, and I can't see the appeal in it. Maybe that's just because I like the two dork trope better than opposites attract trope. I don't know, but this is probably terrible because of it. Sorry. Also the reason I was putting it off.

Also, slight warning: dark thoughts

Virgil sat on the suitcase that was standing in the corner, scrolling through tumblr, when Roman walked over.

"So, Virgil..." Roman dragged out.

"What?" The other raised a brow.

"Since, we're dating now, I was thinking..." He waited for his boyfriend to finish the sentence.

"What?"

"We should go on a date!" The smile on Roman's face was brighter than Patton's everyday one.

"Sure, where?"

"Well, you know that cafe?"

"The one where we met Logan?" Virgil guessed.

"No," Roman protested. "I wanted to go to the cafe that just opened up."

"Okay." Virgil hummed. Roman ran to the door and got his coat.

"Alright, let's go."

"Now?" Virgil asked.

"Yes, my dark rose, since we have nothing else to do." Roman rolled his eyes.

"Dark rose, I thought you were creative with pet names?" Virgil's cheeks were stained a light pink as he stood up.

"I am, hot topic." Roman retorted.

"Whatever, I just want to get some coffee." Virgil sighed.

"Yeah, yeah, nerd."

The two made jabs at eachother as they walked to the cafe. The people on the streets gave them weird looks as they walked the pavement, making Virgil uncomfortable, but Roman didn't notice it, too focused on Virgil.

They entered the baby blue building, which was relatively empty, except for a few people in the booths. Roman marched up to the cash register, Virgil trailing behind, his head low.

"Hello, what would you two like to eat today?" The lady behind the counter questioned, a polite smile across her pretty lips.

"Hello, me and Virgil would like two milkshakes, one carmel vanilla, and one chocolate strawberry. Can we get a piece of pecan pie too?" Roman requested.

"Of course, here's your number, come here when it's called." The blonde explained, handing Virgil, who was the closest to her left, a piece of paper with a large twenty-two on it. Roman paid the woman, before taking Virgil's hand.

"Thank you." Roman replied, dragging Virgil to one of the tables, that was high off the ground. The emo nearly dive bombed into the nearest booth. "What's wrong?"

"Everyone will be able to see us up there." Virgil explained, glaring at the tall seats.

"Fine, anti-social angel." Roman sighed, sitting across from Virgil.

Virgil took out his phone, then remembered this was supposed to be a date. People were supposed to look and talk to eachother on dates, right? Virgil had no clue, Logan and him never went on dates, but he had heard that was how they were supposed to work, so he put his phone in his pocket and started to rack his brain for ideas to talk about, when Roman started talking.

"So, Virgil, since you work at a pet shop, what's your favorite dog breed?" Roman started.

"It's between shibes and pomerainians." Virgil stated.

"Why's that? I can understand the shibes with those memes you like, but pomerainians?"

"I like shibes because of the memes, yes, but they also have expressive faces. And pomerainians come in teddy bear styles, which look adorable, especially around Patton, when he's holding them. Patton and them are just cute together." Virgil ranted, though he didn't want to say half the things he did.

"Aww, that's just adorable!" Roman chuckled.

"Shut up." The emo grumbled into his arms, as he laid his, now bright red, face down, crossing his limbs.

Suddenly a woman called out, "Twenty-two," which signaled their food had been done. Roman walked over and grabbed the drink carrier, along with a disposable container of a piece of pie.

Roman placed both things on the table, then sat down in front of Virgil, taking a bit of pie off the plate. Roman raised his fork, moving the carmel goodness in front of Virgil. "Really, Roman?" Virgil rolled his eyes.

"Yes, I'm going to feed it to you! Unless, of course, you don't want it." The actor smirked. Virgil glared as he opened his mouth, then softened when he tasted the pie. "Good, huh?"

"Shut it and give me the rest." Virgil made grabby hands for the pie, but Roman held it out of his reach.

"No, I want some!" Roman laughed, attracting the attention of a few patrons. Virgil quickly put his arms down, a frown reappearing on his face. Roman set the plate down and took a bite of the pecan pie. "Wow, this is good." He said between his food, "we should get some to go and bring Patton and Logan some."

"Yeah, Logan wouldn't like it if I didn't bring some sweet back." Virgil smiled goofily.

"It's funny, our soulmates both love sugar, it's weird. I mean, you expect it from Patton, but never from our nerd, the secret sweet tooth." Roman smiled widely, almost love struck. It seemed like a love for both of the people he was talking about.

Virgil began to wonder if Roman truly didn't love Logan. Maybe, Roman was lying to Logan in the hopes to not make himself out as desperate when Logan rejected him. Maybe, Roman was just suprised when Logan kissed him, and that's why he didn't reciprocate. Roman could lie to Logan, so maybe Roman did love Logan.

"Roman?"

"Yes, Virgil?"

"How do you feel about Logan?" Virgil asked.

"He's a good friend, a good, nerdy friend." Roman explained.

"Have you ever thought of him as something more?"

"No, why?" Roman raised a brow, curious of why his date changed the topic to something that seemed strange.

"He loves you." Virgil blurted out. Virgil had never wished he didn't have to tell the truth more than in that moment. He wished he wasn't soulmates with Roman for a split second, because he wouldn't have betrayed Logan's trust.

"What?"

"Logan loves you, romantically. Oh god, I told Logan I would try not to tell you." Virgil could feel tears pricking at his eyes.

"Hey, it's fine. I made you say it, you had no control." Roman reassured, taking Virgil's hands in his. "But, how come he never told me?"

"Because you don't like him like that." The words just wouldn't stop disobeying Virgil.

Logan was going to hate him when he found out, his mind told him. Logan's going to hate you and leave you all, and Patton and Roman will hate you because you made Logan leave. Then they'll make you leave and you'll be alone forever. And no one will want you because even your soulmates don't want you. You'll be alone forever.

"Verge?"

You'll die alone, and no one will care. You should have listened to yourself when you were thirteen, then they wouldn't have to deal with you.

"Virgil!" Roman shouted, suddenly on the same side of the booth as Virgil, holding the other's hands. "You need to calm down, do you want to get out of here?" Virgil stayed silent, staring at the table. People were staring at them, but Roman still didn't care. The one in black wanted to hide, he wanted to disappear right here. Virgil lifted up his hood, so it covered his face, grabbed his milkshake, and let Roman drag him out, the pie and other milkshake with him. People were still staring at them.

"Sorry." Virgil apologized as they rounded the corner.

"Don't, angel. I was the one who pushed you, I'm sorry." Roman claimed, walking to their apartment.

The two arrived, and found Logan and Patton in their onesies, reading a book. Patton looked up, saw Virgil, and ran over. "Virgil, what happened?" Patton shouted.

"I told Roman Logan loved him, and then I started thinking about what would happen later, because of what I said." Virgil droned, before slamming a hand to his mouth, tears falling again. Logan got up, appearing more concerned than angry, unlike what Virgil expected. The two ones wearing glasses paused for a second.

"Virgil, no one's going to hate you for telling the truth." Logan chimed in. "I'm sorry I had you keep the secret for so long. And I'm sorry I lied to you, Roman."

"I know, but I wish I was just normal, and wouldn't cry about everything." Virgil whimpered, his head still in his hoodie, staring down at the milkshake in his hands.

"Hey," Patton called out. "We can deal with this later, right now, Virgil needs comfort. Do you want to cuddle?"

"With just you, Pat." Virgil answered honestly, but Virgil realized how awful that sounded. He just said he didn't want to be around Logan and Roman, it sounded like the worst thing to say to Virgil's ears at that moment.

"Okay, sweetie. Let's leave these two here, they can talk, quietly, while we take a nap." Patton explained, taking the full cup of milkshake and putting it in the fridge.

"Yeah." Virgil whispered, letting Patton take his hand and bring him to his room.

"So, we have something to talk about..." Roman started.
