For the past six weeks Dan had been extremely busy so it was time to get back on track with this relationship today was baby Howells first scan. Roughly around 9:00 am i awoke, the exiting events of today gave me goose bumps just thinking about it and to give things an extra rush my baby bump had grown! immediately throwing on my joggers and a loose shirt I took a photo and sent it to Dan :

Almost instantly Dan replied with another loved up message he was exited to . I find it adorable how dan doesn't wait to reply to my texts it's like he's obsessed with me in a good way. Soon enough I arrived at Dans earlier we agreed to meet at Dans then go to the hospital from there. I was half an hour early but who could blame me it was my baby's first scan . sure enough dan was also ready when I arrived his eyes lit up as he saw me standing in the cold he dragged me inside and worshiped me and my bump .

"Oh my god Maddy ... I'm so happy to see both of you again" he hugged me tight
" I'm so happy to see you to " I whispered in his ear as he leaned down to stroke my baby bump
As we walked into the living room we slouched into the sofa in unison.
" so have you been thinking of any baby names lately ?" I cautiously asked as our fingers intertwined
" well ... I really love the name Jamie for a boy or mabey ... Ellie for a girl " Dan replied
" I love it Dan ... Sorry I ment I love you Dan " you both chuckled
" OH MY GOD ITS 9: 20 CALL THE TAXI " Dan shouted
So with that you sped off towards the hospital in the back of a black cab.
A few hours later you arrived at the hospital and was ushered into the scan room ,quickly i lied backwards into the cold hospital bed as the nurse spread a cold gel across your stomach i anxiously stared at the dark screen in immediate view you saw a tiny baby squirming around inside your stomach.
" do you want to know the gender " the nurse asked . me and Dan smiled at each other then nodded at the nurse
" congratulations Maddy and Daniel you are having a baby girl ! " as the nurse told me the words I felt my eyes well up  but I wasn't the only one because as soon as I turned to face Dan he was pouring the contents of nigra falls down his face I reached my hand out towards Dan and he grabbed it
"Ellie Howell " I squirmed as I felt another dose of the cold gel across my stomach
" sorry love I'm just trying to get a clear picture " gasped the nurse
I gave a unsure look at Dan then at the nurse
" what is it nurse ? Please tell me my ellie is OK ???" I worriedly explained
" no she's more than OK but your Ellie has a brother "
I was full on crying with joy
" babe we've got Twins " Dan cried we both was hysteric with exitement as the nurse rubbed the cold gel off of me and passed me a photo of our baby's .
" so what do you think Ellie and Jamie Howell are coming into our lives fast !!!"
Stupidly I joked " I think we should name them Ellie Tabitha Howell and Jamie dil Howell "
But I think Dan took it way to seriously because at the baby shower he signed all of the cards

Late that night I went back to Dans we were cuddled up on the sofa when I got a text :

Hey what went on at the scan ?
I totally forgot to tell her so me and Dan decided to make it public
" grab my camera it's set up in the corner " Dan asked as he plugged in his lights waddling along with the gigantic camera Dan giggled
" oh my this is halious " he chuckled as his phone flased in my eyes
" this is one for Twitter " I gave Dan an pouty face look as he angled the camera towards me he stood and stared into the camera
" is there a problem ? " I asked
" no your just so beautiful " I blushed extremely As he started the video
" hello internet ,today I'm here with my girlfriend and best friend Maddy"
"Hey internet"
"Today's video is very serious because we are going to announce something ..."
" were having twins !!!!" I blushed after I said this because I thought Dan would have wanted to say it but nevertheless he stared into my eyes and giggled more . later when we finished filming for his channel we were cuddling on the sofa when a loud predominant banging came from outside then there was a smash and sirens  sounded the door was almost being broken in when Dan grabbed his baseball bat and shouted at me "lock your self in the bathroom get your phone and laptop and ring the police " I didn't want to imagine what was going on out there I heard alot of shouting then the front door was broken in Phil had ran to the stairs with Dan by the sounds of things... someone had broken into the house... someone run up the stairs and I heard aloud
" uggghhhh' it wasnt Dan or Phil one of them must of hit them in the leg but then I heard a gun shot ....
Time stopped as I opened the door and saw the crook run out of the house with many valubles in his arms but that wasn't the thing that caught my eye I looked down the floor was drenched in blood and there was Dan lying on the ground his arm had been shot and Phil was sitting there staring at the bloody figure lying on the ground. Time stopped ,memories flouded back into my mind circling like bad dreams. I instantly felt sick and started crying dramatically. I couldn't breathe ... My stomach got tight but I had to fight the tears
" phil! I remember I used to be a nurse, I'll deal with Dan ,  go and ring an ambulance then call the police " as Phil rised to his feet he gave me a look of fear with tears running from his eyes as I desperately tried to sense some life in my lover .
" think Maddy think ... OK I remember ... DAN CAN YOU HEAR ME SHAKE YOUR HEAD IF YOU CAN HEAR ME " I shouted .
No reply .
" please Dan ... Please just open your eyes you have to survive for us, for the baby's " now I was sobbing so hard my eyes hurt
" Dan ..."
His eye flickered open
I was suddenly furfilled with hope. Phil ran back into the room with a panicked look on his face.
" Phil I think he is still here I hope he is still here ... No .... I know he is still here please trust me push as hard as you can on his wound now !!!" I sobbed a mixture of bloud and tears drenched my shirt.
"OK" Phil replied doing all he could do to save his best friend he panted I sensed the fear in his breath, he was scared by what he was doing.
Leaning down to check his air way I heard unsteady breathing I felt another spark of hope but it bagan to fade as I heard another gun shot.
" so he's barely with us but he is gonna stay I'm sure of it ... Dan I know you can hear me please just listen I know we are not perfect I know we are just well children in the eyes of others we have been put down so many times but when I was panicking when I was depressed you helped me you were my hero now let me be yours stay with me !!!! " I pressed on his heart hard checked his airway then said " Dan think of me think of the viewers think about what we would do without you " I said as pressed on his chest hard " think of Phil think of your family but most importantly think of the baby's what will I say to them as they grow up without a father, oh daddy he died I tried my hardest to save him but he gave up or do you want to be there to tell this tale yourself ?" I pushed once more even harder
" I need you Dan we all do so stay with me please " I sobbed before pushing harder for the final time " Dan " I broke down in tears on his body ...
" I love you " then I felt the surface began to move, dan was breathing !
" Phil he's breathing oh my god "
Phil who was also covered in tears began to smile but then we both looked at Dan as he moved his lips
"I'm not * cough* going anywhere " he mumbled weakly. paramedics barged in with a stretcher as I ran along side him I Stumbled into the ambulance with Phil as the police followed quickly behind
" Phil did you lock the door ? "
"Yes "
" OK " I asked cautiously as we sped towards the hospital as quickly as possible . opening my eyes for the first time this journey I saw Dan covered in blood lying in the ambulance bed barely breathing I reached for his hand as his fingers twitched with the warmth of my palm stroking his cold hand .
" stay strong Dan ya hear me OK"
I was lying here next to the man who saved my life I could not be anymore greatful towards anyone I weeped into my lap as Phil stroked my arm
"Is he gonna be OK?" I asked
" Dans ours he's our fighter OK ?" Phil reassured me .
Finally we arrived at the hospital they dragged Dan away from me and stopped me form going any further me and Phil waited anxiously in a and e feeling sick after today's events .

A few hours later we were aloud to go in and see Dan in his room it was disgusting to see him lying there all bandaged up my children's father now looking completely lifeless then the door opened the doctor walked in
" we've got something to tell you ."
