Zara's Pov:

"Zara!"He called my name.His voice was cold and tense as well.

"Hmm."I responded.

"You sure,You alright? "

"Aabir,I told you I'm fine."I said normally as far as I could , tightening my grip on his shoulder.

I was terrified but I couldn't let him know.Because I knew that he would worry more.

The silence again took place as he drove fast to my home.We reached in front of my house within 10 minutes.

"Okay then,Bye"I said, getting off the bike.

"Bye.Good night."he said with a little smile.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Aabir, don't you think you forget something?"I pouted .

"What?"He was confused.

"It's not your regular way to say me bye"I said and he smiled my favourite crooked smiled which indicated that he got my point.

He locked his hands around my wrists and pulled me close to him.He leaned down, and pressed his lips very lightly to my forehead for the briefest instant.I closed my eyes and felt the moment.All my fear, tension vanished under his touch.

"Go home.It's already late."He said.

I nodded.

He left .As soon as he vanished from my eye sight I sighed and let the real feeling come out as an expression on my face.

As soon as I walked through the front door "Zara"Uncle called.I cursed my luck under my breath.

I took a deep breath to act normal"Yes,Uncle?"I said as I came around the corner.

"Its 7:49 pm.You were supposed to be home before 7 PM, weren't you?"

"Umm..I was in library ....reading a important book for my college assignment and I droze off.When I awake,it was 7 pm."I smiled sheepishly .

A common excuse as usual.I hate to tell them lie.But I had no choice.I couldn't just tell them that I was with my boyfriend.

"Ooh..Go and freshen up.You must be hungry."he said with a smile.

I gave him a nod and went upstairs to my room.

As soon as I entered into my room,I threw my bag on bed in frustration .

"What happened?"Khusbu asked.I turned to face her.

"Don't ask."I groaned

"Why are you agitated?Tell me"

"You know what, I'm frustrated with myself."I paused to calm my voice."Everything was so perfect .Aabir told me that he got selected in a singing reality show.It's a big opportunity for him ,for his singing career."

"Really!!"Khusbu exclaimed with joy."That's a good news.Then why are you upset?"she asked,confused.

"I can't tell you how happy I was.How happy he was!We decided to celebrate this.Then.."I paused,sighed deeply.

"Aabir went to bought ice cream for us ,leaving me beside his bike.I was busy in my phone, standing near the road when someone pushed me hard and I fell on ground.I blacked out for a few minutes.Then I realise that It was Aabir who pushed me ...to save my life. "

"To save your life?"

"If he didn't push me away from road then that car would hit me to death ."My voice choked.

"What are you saying?"she gasped.

"Yes....And after that his mood goes off.He get so scared..... It's all because of me.If I'd been more careful, nothing would've happened.I ruined his happiness"I said getting mad at me.

"Thank God, You're alright."she hugged me tightly and sighed in relief."Now, don't think too much about all this.He will be fine by tomorrow"she added ,losen the hug.

"I hope so."I headed to the washroom for freshen up.

After freshen up I skipped to my room and jumped on my bed ,lie down.

"Did you notice something?"she asked,lay down next to me.

"What?"I asked, switching off the light.

"Whenever any bad things happened with you..Somehow Aabir was present there to save you.Isn't it strange?"

"It's just a mere coincidence.In my case, it's happening again and again,though."I said, tucking the quilt around me.

"Yeah"she agreed.

"Good night,Kumvorkorno"I teased her.

"Same to you, trouble seeker"she teased me back.We chuckled.

Our conversation ended.

I really did feel exhausted. It had been a long day in so many ways, yet I felt no sense of relief at its end. Almost as if something worse was coming .

After 1 week..

"How was your exam?"Aabir asked casually as we walked together to the cafeteria.

My face fell as I muttered "Fine"

"Really?"his voice was unconvinced.

I nodded my head in response.Honestly the exam was tough.Though I did well but I've failed to perform to the best .

"How many subjects still left?"

"Two."I huffed.

"You know what, you're in a good situation as your exam has finished."I sighed .He smiled innocently.

"When is your next..."

"Aabir, Let's not talk about exam.I am very hungry.Let's eat something."I said which sounded as a request.

"Okay ."A smile was playing around the edges of his lip.

Then it was a quiet walk to the cafeteria.We sat across from eachother on a table.

"Zara?"He called, his voice tight.

"Yes?"

"Can I ask you something?"he asked, looking straight into my eyes.

"Ofcourse"I had to look away from the intensity of his stare. I concentrated on unscrewing the lid of my cola cane.

"Well"he paused.Then the rest of words followed in a rush."Are you sure you have come India for the first time?"

I furrowed .

"As far I remember I've told you about that."

"Yeah,You told me that it's your first time.But It can also be happen that you've come here maybe in childhood and you forget about that"

I rolled my eyes at his stupid question"You know I don't have any idea what you mean" I eventually pointed out

"I know. "He smiled ."I was just asking."he said and then changed the topic.

I stared at him but he was looking away towards the empty table behind us while talking to me. He'd said he asked the questions casually, but his tone had implied something more .His manner left a strange impression on me, and I tried to ignore it .

I entered into my room , like a storm,twisted my hair in my hands as I walked. Then pulled a rubber band from my dressing table and wound it around the bundle.

Misha was in the room already, a book in her hands. She set the book in our study table and stepped forward when she saw me.

"You're not in a good mood.Can I know the reason?"She asked while examine my face.

I didn't answer. jumped on my bed and sat , closing my eyes .

"What happened,Zara?Did you both get into fight again?"She asked .

"No"I muttered.

"You two had left together from the college.If you didn't fight then why did you come back alone in a auto rickshaw?Why didn't he drop you at home?"

"At first we didn't get into fight.And secondly I came alone because Aabir left me alone in midway."I said the second line gritting my teeth.

"I didn't understand what you said.You both didn't get into fight.But he left you alone in road?"she tried to understood my words.

"Can you please explain properly?"she demanded.

"I don't know what to say.."I sighed then start again "Aabir...he is behaving so weird last few days.He always look so worried about something.Most of the time in deep thoughts.And he is doing weird things as well."I said , frustrated.

"Like what?"

"Like today we were walking towards our home.We were talking or can say I was talking only.And he was looking less interested to hear me.He was lost in some thought.Don't know what!!
Beside he was looking back again again as if searching for something or someone.There's was nothing except us."

"Then?"

"Then all of a sudden he took his bike and drove away ,leaving me alone in road .Though he asked me to wait for him. I was surprised at his behavior.I was furious.So I came back home , didn't wait for him."

"It was wrong.He can't leave you alone.Its irresponsibility.How could he?"Misha got angry at him.

"Misha, Something is wrong with him. Something is definitely wrong."I murmured.
