"Wait!" The Batter exclaims, "I am not your enemy Japhet! The Judge and a dangerous spectre are coming. Don't waste your strength fighting me!"

"That bat was made by Dedan," Japhet explains, "there's only one way he would give up something he was gonna give to Hugo."

There was something about today and Hugo, but along with the other memories, it had slipped The Batter's mind.

"This was meant for Hugo?" The Battter asks.

"It matters not," Japhet replies, "cause your sacred mission ends right here, right now!"

Japhet reveals his true form. A large bird. The Batter does not attack, and only guards.

Janet is taken aback by this. "What are you planning?" Japhet asks.

"Nothing," The Batter replies, "I'm just going to wait here until you believe me."

Japhet, although questioning his actions, attacks with Alto. The blow brings the Batter to his knees. He realizes that he had to be stronger.

The Batter uses a fortune ticket.

"You're really not gonna attack are you?" Japhet asks.

The itch returns. The Batter suddenly wants to. He wants to... purify.

He fights the itch. "No," The Batter replies, "not you at least. There's another me. He's coming to kill you. Let me help you."

Japhet considers the offer for a moment. He looks into the Batter's eyes, and sees something. Even if the Batter isn't aware, he sheds a single tear.

"I won't let him hurt my son," The Batter elaborates.

Japhet begins to understand The Menaing of His Tears. "Very well then," Japhet replies, "we shall end his demented crusade in Zone 2."

The purification is aborted. Just then, the imposter and The Judge arrive.

"Where is Valerie?" Pablo asks.

"I'm sorry," Japhet replies, "but he is dead."

"No," The Judge pleads.

"Japhet," the imposter grips his bat, "guardian of Zone 2, I have come to purify you."

"No," the Batter replies, "You have come to be purified."

A purification is in progress.

Pablo is confused by the Batter's Unreasonable Behavior. He, however, is to distressed to intervene.

Omega strikes the Batter with an Optimised Blur. The blow is light and does little damage.

Japhet strikes Alpha with a Tenor, and The Batter follows with a Special Home Run. Alpha falls, defeated.

The Imposter strikes Japhet with a Furious Home Run. Omega uses another Optimised Blur. This time, the blow is mighty, bringing to Batter to his knees.

The imposter smirks and lifts his bat. He prepare to finish the Batter off. The Batter realizes he can do no more. This is where his game ends. He closes his eyes and braces himself for purification...

Japhet takes the blow, wounding him severely.

"Japhet!" The Batter yells.

"Batter," Japhet weakly replies, "listen to me. I need to know, are you really him?"

The Batter does not know the answer. He understands the question, but can't answer.

"I don't know," he replies.

"Listien," Japhet continues, "your son, he must be protected. Take this."

A Pheonix Tunic has been found.

A Pisces-Card has been found.

"If all else fails," Japhet weakly speaks, "please, protect the child."

With the same dieing wish as the last, the Zone Guardian falls.

"This land is now pure," the imposter explains.

Once again, the Batter is Not Safe...
