Silence reverberates through the pure world. The Batter exits Dedan's office. The only sound he hears, is Dedan's last gift, his new bat, as it clanks on the ground. The Batter remembers what Zachrie said about the Aries Card. The Batter realizes he has to get it again, and to do that, he has to get the element from this Zone.

The Batter begins towards where the element is. Only to be attacked by secretaries. The Batter tries to use Competence, choosing to Run With Grace. The attack crushes the secretaries thanks to his new bat. He knows it isn't enough to surpass the imposter, but it is enough to protect him. He proceeds to purify any secretaries in his path, causing his power to grow exponentially compared to before. Apon finding the element, he uses a nearby red box to return to the nothingness and enter Zone 2.

He suddenly recalls something. Something he said to the queen "We were so busy preparing the birthday party we forgot who it was for," he says.

Why would he say that to the queen? He flipped the switch, this is true, but he can't seem to believe what this implies. He would never hurt them, not directly...

The Batter enters Zone 2. This time, he plans more carefully. Knowing that, to face Japhet, he must first go to the residential area, he makes a plan.

He waits for the imposter to go through those shenanigans and heads at the second to last floor of the library. However, this means he does not get Omega. The Batter decides this is worth the risk. As he can stop the imposter in Zone 2. He isn't sure what comes next, but he wants to at least have that choice.

The barrier blocking his way falls. He heads upwards, running into Zachrie on his way up.

"Have you found a mission yet?" Zachrie inquires.

"No," The Batter replies.

"Oh," Zachrie smiles, "but you have. You can't escape your purpose, but, you can replace it. Batter, why not choose a new purpose?"

"Like what?" The Batter asks.

"Instead of purifying the world," Zachrie smiles, "fix it."

The Batter recalls Dedan's dieing wish. He suddenly feels something else. A new purpose. To protect Hugo from the imposter that plagues the world.

"I have my mission," he explains with new found resolve.

"Then let us do business," Zachrie replies.

The Batter buys fortune tickets and silver flesh, preparing to face the imposter.

"Hey buddy," he smiles, "take this, on me."

Zachrie gives the Batter an Odd Mask.

"What is this?" He asks.

"I'm off to Zone 3," Zachrie smiles, "If you encounter trouble there, put on that mask, and I will help you. In the meantime, I must be going." Zachrie leaves.

The Batter puts the mask in his pocket. He then proceeds to the top of the tower.

"Japhet," he greets.

"Spectre," Japhet returns in kind.

"Listien," the Batter explains, "someone like me is coming, someone dangerous. You can't defeat him alone. Let me assist you. We can stop him together."

"Spare me your lies Batter," he replies, "I don't know what you're trying to pull, but I know you killed Dedan."

"I didn't," the Batter explains, "an imposter did. Please, listen to me."

"Sorry," Japhet smirks, "but I'm not stupid. Prepare to die Batter!"
