AURELIA FISHER and Steven Conklin had hated each other for as long as anyone could remember. Ever since they were in kindergarten and Steven tugged on her pigtails, she'd found him utterly irritating. He'd had the nerve to sit across the aisle from her in their first grade class, his desk only two feet from hers, and he'd made her life a misery. All throughout elementary school, all throughout middle school, and even in high school.

In turn, she'd done her best to drive him crazy, which she had been more successful at doing. He had the face of an angel, a beautiful smile, and dark, dreamy eyes that made girls fall all over themselves. But not her. He was the bane of her existence, and she did her best to ignore him as much as possible, which was difficult with him around every corner.

As a little girl, Aurelia had often daydreamed about finding her Prince Charming. She loved fairy tales, and she'd fantasized that she'd meet her handsome hero one day. That he'd fall madly in love with her, and they'd live happily ever after. But Steven wasn't the one she imagined to be the one. Never in a million years did she think Steven would be her Prince Charming but that all changed one summer.
