the one with jeremy

That night seemed to be in slow motion. Watching Jeremy run through the woods to stop short and see the body of his soulmate being wheeled out.

Fiona hated the sound of his broken sobs.

He glared up at Fiona.

"You're going to pay you lying whore!" He screamed, "you promised she'd be back safe!"

Fiona busted down into tears, finishing her statement to the sheriff and saw the news team setting up.

"I have to go, make sure Jeremy over there doesn't do something stupid," Fiona pointed to the shaking man and the sheriff nodded.

"You're free to go, I recommend laying low," The sheriff waved her off.

Fiona nodded and walked away, pulling out her phone as she called Clint Barton.

"Fiona?" She heard and sighed.

"I need you to take in my dad for a few days," she said.

"What happened?" Clint asked.

"I tried helping this guy and it didn't work out, I need to keep Peters Aunt safe with Peter so I need my dad in a remote location with Surma," She sighed, looking over her shoulder constantly, not wanting to run into Jeremy.

"Alright, send him over, we'll have a room ready," Clint smiled and Fiona nodded.

Fiona flew to her living room, materializing right in front of him.

"Holy shit!" He yelled, jumping back.

"Pack now, pack for at least a few weeks," Fiona spoke, turning to Surma as she pressed her head to his, trying to get him to understand what she was wanting to do.

She pulled away from Surma who looked to Andrew.

"What's happening?" He asked, confusion run upon his face.

"Please just pack!" She practically yelled, wanting to get him to Canada as fast as she could.

"Alright, damn," he spoke in defense, walking to his room and twenty minutes later, coming back out with luggage.

Fiona sighed.

"When you get to Clint's house, watch the news, channel six," Fiona said and looked to Surma who leaned against Andrew and smiled them both out. She watched as they left and sighed, Fiona packed her own clothes and staff and grabbed her keys, locking up the apartment right before she left.

Fiona pulled out her phone and called Aunt May. After two rings she answered, before Fiona could get a word out, Aunt May was immediately asking questions.

"Honey, are you okay? What happened? Do you need somewhere to lay low?"

Despite what was happening, Fiona had a smile on her face.

"I need to stay with you for a while, protect you and Peter, my dad and Surma are in an undisclosed location and safe," Fiona explained, looking for her key to their apartment.

Peter has one for hers.

Fiona found it and sighed in relief.

"I'll be waiting, you can stay in Peters room," May spoke and Fiona nodded.

"Thanks Aunt May, I'll be over soon," she said and smoked away, materializing infront of May's door. She unlocked the house and walked in, locking it immediately and quickly dropped her stuff in Peters room.

She walked out and locked all the windows in the apartment. Fiona hugged May upon first sight, finally able to let her emotions out, scared of what she did, who she'll become, and when the sick feeling would leave. She sighed as the woman rubbed her back in a soothing manner, happy that there was someone there for her at the moment.

"Fiona?" She heard in the comm, Fiona pulled back, pressing into the comm.

"I'm here, at Peters place," she said and looked to May.

"Alright, what the hell happened?" Jessica asked.

"Ethan killed Jodie, then I killed Ethan," Fiona sighed and May walked out of the room and into the kitchen. Fiona felt a slight disappointment but stood strong anyway.

"Are you okay?" Peter asked and Fiona smiled, walking into his room and laying out on his bed.

"Yeah, I'm fine, but Jeremy threatened you and May so I'm here, your window is unlocked for you but the rest of the house is locked tight," Fiona answered, "stay safe, don't get caught."

"We'll see you."

---

Fiona stood from afar as they lowered the casket into the hole. Peter stood next to her as family and friends wept. Fiona sighed as she thought of Jodie. She wanted to check in on Jeremy but she knew if she did then it would end in a fight to the death. Fiona took Peters hand as the funeral ended and people were leaving.

Fiona turned and they walked away, not wanting the risk of being seen. Peter wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to him. He rubbed her arm comfortingly and they left the grounds, making their way back to peters home.

Besides school, Fiona has had the parker household on lockdown, If was only until Jeremy was calm, and from what it looks like, his anger was bluff. Fiona sighed as she leaned her head onto Peters shoulder.

Fiona had gotten a call on her phone and she was shocked at the contact name.

Jeremy.

She answered, her heart pacing up an unsteady pace as she stopped in the sidewalk.

"Jeremy?" She asked.

"I want to talk, make sense of it, can we meet?" He asked and Fiona let out a sigh of relief.

"Of course, tell when and where and I'll be there," she smiled weakly as they continued to walk.

"Now, uh, could we meet at the cafe near your school?" Jeremy asked and Fiona nodded.

"Alright, I'll see you," she spoke, looking to Peter and smiling.

"See you," Jeremy said and hung up, Fiona put her phone away and hugged Peter.

Confused, Peter hugged back and pressed a soft kiss to her hair.

"I'm going to meet with Jeremy, talk it through, hopefully console him," Fiona smiled and Peter nodded.

"Stay safe, leave if he does anything and we'll call someone," Peter said and Fiona nodded, pressing one last kiss to his lips, smiling as she walked off, stuffing her hands in the pockets of her dress as she turned a corner.

When she was a good enough distance to fly, she smoked off, finding the cafe with ease and materialized in the alley next to it. Fiona walked into the cafe and noticed Jeremy wave her over, two coffees sitting on the table that he sat at.

Fiona walked over, sitting across from him and smiled.

"Here," he smiled, softly pushing the cup of coffee over.

Fiona nodded, taking it and sipping.

"I know there aren't words to describe how you feel, I just want you to know I know what you're feeling," she said and his face twisted in confusion.

"How could you know?" He asked and Fiona looked down.

"My last life, my soulmate was shot right in front of me, I was crushed," Fiona sighed, looking up and drank the coffee, it was starting to get cold and she didn't want it to get too cold before she could finish it, "I made a lot of mistakes after that, remember the killing spree of eighty five?"

"Yeah?" Jeremy nodded, his head tilting in confusion.

"That was me, I was tracking the man that killed Johnny," she frowned, looking down.

"Hey, I understand," Johnny said and Fiona looked up, "I mean, I'm killing you now."

"What?" Fiona asked, straightening up and her head tilting.

"I'm gonna murder you."
