the one with her final fight
Fiona ran through the school, the screams in her mind of those she's killed in the past are all she seems to hear as her vision was blurry and she kept on falling. She crawled, trying desperately to get away from Jeremy, fighting the toxin in her body that was attacking every nerve and vein.
"You should pay attention to what you put in your body, you fucking bitch," Jeremy snarled as he caught up, pushing her back down on her chest with his dirty boot. She gasped for air as he pressed down harder, the air pushed out of her lungs.
"My soulmate died without me by her side, now, you get to die without Peter by yours and guess what?" He smirked, "he's next and you can't do anything about it."
"Surma will protect him," Fiona coughed out, "and rip your fucking head off, you psycho cunt!"
"Shut up!" He screamed, pressing harder into her back, bones cracking and shifting.
Fiona tried ejecting the poison but couldn't without air. She gasped and soon Kalma came out, her hair flowing white and her eyes glowing green. Jeremy widened his eyes, thinking of another way to kill the girl who could keep her promise.
She stood up, defying his boot and turned around, the man pulled out his knife and stabbed her. Kalma left as Fiona looked down at the knife in her stomach. She took a step back, her hands shaking as she gripped the knife, she felt her body trying to heal around it but the poison was slowing it down.
"Go ahead, pull it out, see how fast y-" the man was cut off from being body slammed by Peter.
"Shut up," He said and looked over as Fiona stumbled to a locker and slid down.
"Fiona?" Peter cried out, his voice shaky, "no no no no..."
Fiona looked up at him and smiled.
"Peter," she whispered, softly caressing his cheek.
"Fiona you can't leave me, you can't do this to me," Peter cried, stroking her hair as she struggled to breathe.
"Peter," she mumbled.
"I'm here, you're okay," Peter said and scooped her up.
"I'm gonna get you to Doctor Strange," he said and ran, leaving the puddle of blood and Jeremy's unconscious body.
Fiona looked up at him and cried.
"I don't want to go, Peter," she cried.
"You won't, I promise you won't," he said, turning a corner and busting into the sanctum.
"Doctor Strange!" Peter screamed, the man flying down to the commotion. Stevens eyes widened at the sight of Peter covered in Fiona's blood as she violently shook, crying as the knife protrude from her stomach.
"Help her, please," he pleaded and Steven nodded.
"What happened?" Steven asked and Peter shook his head.
"She was helping a guy save his soulmate but she died and he blamed Fiona," Peter explained, his heart racing as his love was unresponsive.
"Lay her down," Steven said as he activated the time stone.
Peter watched as the knife left her body, but couldn't go back any farther.
"There's something else," Steven said and Peter looked to her.
"Get it out!" He demanded, desperate to save her.
"I can't!" He sighed, "it's in her bloodstream, it's too late for her."
Peter let out a sob as he fell to his knees. He scooped Fiona up into his arms and held her tightly. Her head rolled back, her cold eyes staring at the ceiling, thought gone from her mind.
Fiona had stopped breathing. Her heart stopped beating.
"I love you," he mumbled over and over, talking about the future they planned together on the rainy nights where they couldn't go outside and the walks in the park where it snowed as they made snowmen with Surma. He missed the family dinners with her dad and May.
Peter wanted to have a family with her. Peter was irrevocably in love with her. Now he only saw everything in black and white. His whole future was ripped from him and he let out a scream.
He held Fiona tightly as Steven sighed, stepping away to alert those she knew. He looked to Peter, his heart aching for the boy, knowing that he was never going to be the same.
