Later, that night, Marinette is asleep in the guestroom, and the rest of the Agreste household is asleep in their bedrooms.  It seems they are all nice and cozy. 

          A huge thunderstorm starts the thunder so loud that it wakes up Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She starts to tremble afraid of the storm outside. She has been like this ever since she was a little girl. She feels rather embarrassed that her fear is not over yet. She is unsure of what to do now.

      Tikki can tell something bothers  Marinette.  "It is okay, Marinette just think about the thunder as elephants trying to jump over a fence," Tikki says. She hopes this helps.

       Marinette continues to feel very scared. She jumps when a bolt of lightning hits the ground outside the window to the room she stays in right now. She screams as she pulls the covers over her head.  She hopes to shield herself from the storm that rages.

     Tikki hears the sound of footsteps so she hides. She sure hopes no one discovers her inside Marinette's purse. She makes sure to stay low just to make sure no one sees her.

    "Marinette, you okay in there?" A voice asks.

      Adrien gets no answer, so he pushes the door open. He walks slowly over to the bed. He sits on the edge of it.

    "Who is there?" Marinette asks.

     "It is me, Adrien," He calls out.

      "Adrien, what brings you here in the middle of the night?" Marinette asks with a yawn.

      "Well, Mari, you did scream," Adrien replies.

      "I figure it could not hurt to keep you company until you fall back to sleep," Adrien remarks.

      " What about your father?" Marinette asks. She wonders what Mr. Agreste would think if he saw Adrien in the room with her right now.

       "Do not worry, it is going to be alright, Mari," Adrien says.

           Marinette hears another boom of thunder and jumps.  Adrien wraps his arms around her and whispers, " I will stay to protect you, my love, I will not let anything harm you."

        Adrien feels her relax and smiles. He knows she can not see his smile in the dark, but he grins just the same.

       "Thanks, for coming to help me, Adrien," Marinette says.

        "Sure anything for you, Marinette," Adrien states.

            The thunder rumbles, the rain falls, and the lightning strikes many more times.  Adrien soon loses count of how close the weather is to them. He just holds Marinette close in his arms soon he becomes tired and falls asleep.

        Marinette falls asleep as well with the gentle arms of her fiance around her. She does not notice when the storm stops.  She continues to sleep all worn from the middle of the night, thunderstorm fright.

      The next day, Natalie goes to wake up Adrien but does not see him in his room. She was going to remind him he has a photoshoot. She does not want to alarm anyone as she goes to check on Marinette.  She sees Adrien with Marinette and gasps. She thinks awe, so cute, and takes a picture.

      The camera's flash wakes up Adrien and Marinette.  

    "Whoa, Natalie what was that for?" Adrien asks.

      "Yes, what is it?" Marinette says as she yawns and stretches a bit.

          "I just came to say that you are an adorable couple, congrats again to you both, and Adrien you have a photoshoot," Natalie says.

         Natalie exits the room to give them some privacy. She does not say a word to Mr. Agreste about what she just saw.

       Adrien stands up and kisses Marinette on the cheek.  "Oh, I better go before my father finds out," Adrien says.

     "Yes, I would not want you to get in trouble, Adri," Marinette says.

          Gabriel happens to be outside the door when Adrien exits the room. He frowns and asks, "Adrien, what is the meaning of this?   Natalie assured me you would not share a room with Marinette until the wedding night."

         "Father, it is not that bad.  Calm down, Marinette was just frightened from the storm last night.  I just went to keep her company and accidentally fell asleep beside her, but I assure you that is all that happened," Adrien says.

           "Adrien, you better break up with her, it seems I was wrong, she bad for you," Gabriel says.

          "What?  Father, I will not, I love her!" Adrien says with a scowl.

           "Good for you son, as I was joking with you.  Besides, Marinette will make a fine daughter-in-law for me yet," Gabriel remarks.

            Adrien goes back to his room, clothes the door removes his pajamas and puts on his clothes for the day. He applies deodorant, brushes his hair, and heads downstairs.

           Marinette finishes changing her clothes, puts on deodorant, brushes her hair, styles it, and goes downstairs. She smiles when she enters the kitchen.

           "Wow, the table looks rather nice," Marinette says.

         "Miss Dupain-Cheng, it has been brought to my attention that the storm frightened you and Adrien cheered you up, is that correct?" Mr. Agreste asks.

       "Yes, sir,"  Marinette answers.

         "Very well, then, do enjoy the food as you and Adrien have a photoshoot together today. It does seem fitting since he is your fiance after all,  " Gabriel states.

        "Thanks, father," Adrien says.

       "Thanks, Mr. Agreste,"  Marinette says.

        "Nonsense Marinette, you may call me Gabriel since I am almost your father-in-law," Gabriel tells her.

            Marinette and Adrien enjoy the nice breakfast, then drink some juice and head out the door. She has her purse with her just in case she has to transform and Adrien has cheese inside his pockets for Plagg.

             The two arrive at the park together a few minutes early,  " Did your father say anything about last night to you?  Was he angry?" Marinette asks.

          "He did, but no he is fine with it," Adrien says.

         "Oh, what a relief," Marinette answers.

               Adrien smiles at his beautiful fiance glad she chose to stay for him. He knows she has given up so much, but he loves her.  He intends to make sure they get to visit her father as often as they can once they are married.
