Two months later, Adrien and Marinette have been together for a while now.  The two already went on the date as promised when Adrien first got out of the hospital.  They have gone on many dates since then.  

    Little do the two know their love for one another will be tested again soon.

        '' Marinette, here," Adrien says.

        "Thanks, but what is it for?" Marinette asks him.

        "It is your gift to thank you for putting up with me for two months," Adrien answers with a grin.

        "I am glad to have you around," Marinette replies.

      "I can say the same for you," Adrien tells her.

             Adrien and Marinette walk hand in hand towards Andre's ice-cream stand.  

                Andre smiles when he sees the lovely couple. "Ah, yes, how may I help you?" Andre asks.

        "My girlfriend and I would like to share an ice-cream," Adrien explains.

          "Congratulations to you Marinette on having your crush as your man," Andre remarks.

                "Crush is it?" Adrien asks her in a teasing manner.

                  "Yes, " Marinette says.

                 "Here, a nice combination for a beautiful couple, and please do come again,'' Andre says as he hands them the ice-cream.

                   "Thanks, Andre," Adrienette replies.

       Adrien and Marinette enjoy the tasty treat, then they go try out a paddling boat.  This is a fun day for them both.  What could go wrong?  It has been weeks since Hawkmoth's last akuma attack against the city of Paris. They begin to think perhaps he has given up.  

       *Author's note: Adrien still does not know Marinette is Ladybug, and she does not remember his being Chat thanks to Master Fu's memory swipe he did on her when it came to the reveal. This is to keep them both safe for longer.  It would be dangerous for either of them to know this too soon.

        No sooner do they get to the center of the water, then they heard a large crash. Adrien looks up to see a huge ship with an angry man on board.  The other passengers are tied up.  He knows this means trouble.

      "Marinette, swim fast you hear, there is an akuma!" Adrien says.

      "Wait, but what about you?"  Marinette asks.

         "I will find a place to hide you just keep safe,"  He tells her.

           Marinette unfastens her safety belt and jumps into the water. She swims away from him and calls out "Tikki, power up! "  She throws Tikki a special macaroon!   

"Aqua Tikki spots on!" She says, then transforms.

        Meanwhile, Adrien manages to get out of the lake, and hands Plagg his cheese, but this is no ordinary slice of Camembert.  He smiles as he says, "Aqua Plagg, claws out!"  He transforms as he jumps back into the water.

      Now, Ladybug and Chat Noir swim around in the water looking around to see where the villain went with the boat.  Chat sees him and points him out to his Bugaboo.

        "Look, there he is, m'lady," Chat says.

         "Good work, Chat,"  Ladybug remarks. 

             Ladybug and Chat Noir find away aboard the ship.  Once inside, they split up. Ladybug hides, detransforms and transforms back.  Chat manages to do the same without being seen.  The two meet up again and kick the door to the room where the hostages are held.

         Chat unties them and the passengers hide. 

        Ladybug sees the bad person enter the room.  "Chat watch out!" She screams.

        Chat smiles and hits the bad guy with his stick.  

            The crook stands back up, he throws some darts at  Chat, but they miss him.  He looks at his lady in horror as she clutches her stomach.   

        "Haha, Ladybug it looks like you are at the end of the line.  Strikeout for you!" He scoffs.

           Ladybug calls out Lucky charm!   She gets a mirror. She holds it near her face and it reflects in the face of the crook.

        Chat cataclysm's the watch the man holds.  The akuma flies out.

         Despite being hurt, Ladybug catches the akuma and purifies it, then she tosses the mirror into the air, and says "Miraculous Ladybug!"    

        Everything goes back to normal, but when she stands up to pound it with Chat she passes out.

      Chat looks at her in horror, picks her up, and carries her away from there.  He takes her to the hospital and explains, "She was hurt during an akuma attack!"
   
       He leaves and goes back home where he detransforms. He sobs, how could this happen to his partner?   He sure hopes Marinette is okay.

        Adrien runs to the place not far from the lake but does not see Marinette anywhere. He shrugs his shoulders and thinks, maybe she went home.  He has no clue how wrong he is right now.

       Master Fu hears the news about the hurt Ladybug and rushes to the hospital.  He enters her room where he sees the stitches. He can tell she is still unconscious and in lots of pain. He pulls out a cloth and drapes it over her chest. He pours something over the cloth and turns it over. He presses it gently over the stitches.  
 
      "Ladybug when you wake up, you will have no memory of what happened, but you will be better. You will also have a headache,"  Master Fu whispers.
  
      Master Fu leaves before anyone can discover he is even there and takes the cloth with him. 

      A few hours later, Ladybug wakes up and says, "Agh, my head hurts, and where am I?"  She climbs out of the bed and checks herself out of the hospital.  

      Ladybug swings away, hides, detransforms, and goes home. Once there she goes to her room.

        Marinette smiles as she gets a text from Adrien.

            Adrien's text to Marinette

            Are you all alright?

     Marinette's text to Adrien

         Yes, I am great!  

      Adrien's text to Marinette

        I did not see you, so I thought you went home.

      Marinette's text to Adrien

       Yes, I did.

 "Marinette, glad you recovered so well," Tikki says.  She says nothing of Master Fu.

 "Me too, Tikki, me too," Marinette replies. 

    "Adrien," Plagg says.

   "Yes, Plagg?" Adrien asks.

      "I am glad you and Marinette are together now," Plagg says. He does not say anything about her being Ladybug.  He decides it is for the best under the circumstances.

      "Same here, " Adrien says with a grin.

        Adrien hands Plagg some cheese and thinks since when has Plagg been so nice about my love life?
