Chapter 27: Explanation
Foxy's P.O.V.
"Foxy, did I like you?"
I stared at the girl was also staring directly at my eyes, way deep.
"Huh?" I asked. "What are you talking about?"
"You must not have heard me so I will repeat myself. Foxy..." Mangle had me trapped in the corner of the classroom. She didn't notice the stares our classmates were giving. "...did I like you?"
I stopped on my tracks. Like, wow. How brave can she possibly be?
There was a minute long of silence.
"Should I repeat my question over and over again?" Mangle asked as she broke the silence. And let me tell you, she didn't look happy. She was confused, but had her brows frowning.
I didn't answer. I didn't know how.
"FOXY. DID. I. LIKE-"
I covered her mouth and dragged both of us out of the classroom. She was silent the whole time. I led her to the back part of the school.
Mangle looked at me. She was not leaving her questions unanswered.
I sighed. "Okay, why don't you ask Bonbon?" I suggested.
"You dragged me out here to tell me and ask Bonbon?!"
Ooops...
"What the hell Foxy!" she shouted rather hysterically.
"Calm down okay? And how should I know if you liked me or not?" I asked.
She put on a smug look and reached for her bag. She held out a notebook. And it was damn right, pink.
"Can you see this?" she asked pointing at he notebook.
I rolled my eyes. "Of course I can, I'm not blind."
She glared at me.
"Let's get straight to the point shall we?" I suggested.
Mangle put on a quick nod. "This..." she pointed at the notebook. "...is my diary before went to high school. So the things written here were before losing my first memories."
I nodded.
She glared at me again. "Can't you see? I skimmed through the pages and every entry has your name on it!"
I backed away. "Whoa, whoa. What are you implying?" I asked.
"Two things," she answered. "Either I liked you before we entered high school or I was running like a dog chasing after you when we were first years."
My eyes widened. When did she get so smart?
I scoffed. "You didn't like me, stupid," I told her.
She crossed her arms over her chest. "In the last entry, I wrote that I had fallen for someone. And the rest of the entries has your name on every single one of it. Tell me, how it that possible?"
"How can I tell? You wrote it yourself!"
"Exactly! That is why you have to answer my question. Did I, like you Foxy?" Mangle asked.
I gulped, standing there like a frozen statue.
I regained my composure. "Why should it be important if you liked me or not?" I asked.
"You're avoiding my question," she told me. "Don't lie."
"No. You never did," I told her.
"Then, what would explain your recent reactions to me? You were always avoiding my gaze!" she told me.
"I just got annoyed by you," I lied.
"You won't answer my question?"
I shook my head 'no'.
"Fine, let's do this the hard way," she told me. Somehow, that made me twitch.
"Foxy, you are a fan of red, am I right?" she asked.
"What? Well, yes, I am," I answered despite being confused.
She grabbed something from her bag. Oh...no...I'm doomed.
"This scarf..." she stated as she pointed at it. "...is red."
"I c-can see that." Damn! I stuttered!
"Why would I keep a red scarf if one of the entries in my diary stated that I hated blood, which led me to hate the color red?" she asked. "Hmm? Dare to explain why?"
"Why...are you asking me this?! I'm not you! You kept it and I don't know why!" I told her with hands telling her surrender.
"So, you're not really going to answer my question?"
"No."
"Fine," she stated. "I'll figure it out myself. I'll force Bonnie to tell me since I can blackmail him by breaking his beloved face." She started to walk away. As she did, I knew I was doomed so I grabbed her hand right away. She stopped walking. Mangle turned her back again, facing me, one eyebrow raised.
"DON'T," I told her with pleading eyes. "Please..."
She looked at me, then sighed. "Well, if you're not going to answer my question, answer this one instead."
I looked at her. "I'll try."
"Foxy...did you...if possible...Did you like me?"
I froze. What was I going to do.
"N-no," I lied and looked away.
She grabbed my chin to make me face her. She stared right at me. "Foxy, did you like me?" she asked again.
"No," I told her, staring into her eyes. "I never did."
Because I just don't like you....I love you...
Somehow, Mangle sighed in relief.
"If you can answer that question, then why didn't you answer the first one?"
"Because...I can't tell you. Because I don't know the answer myself," I told her as I looked down.
Because I'm afraid. I'm afraid that you like someone else and glad that you lost your memories so you could forget all about him.
"You...don't know?" Mangle asked again.
"No. I never knew," I told her.
She shrugged. "Let's go back to the classroom," she told me as she looked at our hands. It was then that I noticed I was still holding it. I took my hand away. "Sorry," I muttered.
Mangle smiled at me. She grabbed my hand and pulled us away. But, somehow...Mangle manged to trip along the way. There was a rock on the ground.
We both fell.....
as Mangle tripped on the rock, dragging me down with her. I closed my eyes waiting for the painful fall.
There was actually none. I felt something soft pressing against my lips. It was Mangle's lips.
We both stared at it other. We both froze. Was I red?
A few seconds passed and we still haven't moved from our position.
"HOLY F*CKING SH*T! MANGLE AND FOXY ARE FRENCH KISSING!"
I quickly got up, helping Mangle on her tracks. I believe we were both blushing by now.
"W-we were NOT french k-kissing, Bonnie!!!" Mangle yelled at him.
"Oh? What did you call that little scene earlier then?" he asked with suspicion. "An act? Hmph....you can't fool me. I'm smarter than you think!"
I stared at the two of them.
"Our lips just pressed on each other so we were NOT french kissing you perverted maniac!" Mangle told him.
"That's right, Mangle tripped on a rock," I added.
"A rock! You can't fool me cause I'll be spreading the news to everyone!" Bonnie scoffed.
Why this...little...
"Hey Bonnie! You there?!" we heard a voice below. It was Bonbon's.
Bonnie scrambled down to get his cellphone. "Yes ma'am. I'm here and I just spotted the missing couple french kissing."
"WE WERE NOT FRENCH KISSING!" both Mangle and I say in unison.
