P.O.V. [Name]

I was currently walking down the streets of Vale. Current events said I was getting ready to meet Velvets parents. I had put on a somewhat formal [F/C] shirt. I was close to Velvets dorm I had called Velvet last night to see what was going on.

I was a little nervous to be honest. How could I not be right. I am about to meet my girlfriends parents. So many things could go wrong with this but Velvet assured me that they would like me. So maybe I should try to calm down a little.

I nocked on Velvets dorm and Velvet was the one to come and answer the door. "You ready?" She asked looking at me.

"Yeah I am." I said as we started towards the café we were supposed to meet her parents at. As we walked down the street she took my hand and intertwined her fingers with mine.

"I'm really glad you're back." She said as a smile graced her face.

"Yeah sorry again for making you worry so much." I said as we walked into the café. I scanned the room and found two people who o just figured where her parents. One was girl with brown bunny ears like Velvet and the other was a man with white rabbit ears.

We walked over and the two instantly started to question Velvet. She told them everything was fine and once some time had passed and the three of them had their little family moment they took notice of me.

"Hey Velvet who is this boy?" The mother asked a little to excited before she got a little to close for comfort.

"Yes don't tell me you been hiding a new friend or maybe even your crush." The father said mimicking the mothers actions.

After they had backed away just a bit Velvet started to speak to them."Well mom, dad this is [Name] and we're dating." At this they both seemed to be excited about the news.

We spent most of the day talking and then the subject I feared would pop up did. "So Velvet I heard from your friend Coco that were a little depressed."

The area we were in became queit. I decided to break the silence. "Yes that would be my fault sir."

They both gave me a questioning look so I cleared things up. "Yeah I went on a mission a while ago and went M.I.A. I caused many to think I was dead . . . including Velvet." I said then I swear I felt the temperature in the room drop.

This feeling quickly vanished though. "Okay well that just goes to show how much our daughter cares for you." I couldn't explain it but I just thought something about the way they said that was off.

After we had finished talking we all left the Café. We all walked around town and Velvet would show them her favorite spots. Throughout the entire day she had smiled. She looked so much more beautiful when she smiles. I mean she was always beautiful but when she smiled she just looked better.

I as well as her parents walked around town with Velvet telling her parents where they were and why she liked this place so much. After we had walked all around town and dropped Velvet off I started to walk off.

That was until I heard her father call for me. "Hey [Name] come here for a second." When I walked over to him he as well as Velvets mom had a serious look on their face.

"Now that Velvet is gone we can really talk." The male figure said as he looked at me.

"The only reason we didn't say anything to you before was because Velvet was with us." The female interrupted.

"Listen we heard about how sad she really was and to hear you were the cause of it didn't make us happy." The male figure began.

"Yes and at the same time we are so very happy that she has finally found someone she loves. She has never shown any romantic interest in a boy before no matter how much I tried to get her to." She said looking at me with kind eyes.

"Yeah I know what you mean. I felt so bad when Coco told me how Velvet had been acting." I said not looking at them.

"We kind of figured." The mother stated.

"So we have been looking at how you treat Velvet all day and how she reacts to what you do." The father said.

"You have?" I asked a little nervous.

"Yes and from what we have gathered you give her lots of attention. Treat her very well and from when she would take us to her favorite places I saw you listening and taking a few mental notes." She said looking at me.

I guess they weren't exactly wrong but still the fact they had gotten all that from what I was doing is still kind of a scary thought. "R-really you got all of that from what I did today?" I asked looking at them.

"Yes and [Name] from what I can tell you don't want to hurt her and that's what leads me to presume that what you did was not intended." He said looking at me. "But be warned if you ever hurt her like that again I will make you pay."

I nodded and clearly stated "understood sir" he as well as Velvets mother gave me a kind smile. Then they both took a couple steps forward and then father asked one last question that caught me off garud.

"Would you be okay with marring a faunus?" I knew what he was asking me but still better to be safe than sorry.

"Only if the faunus you're talking about is Velvet sir. I don't want or need anyone besides her." I stated.

"Well then [Name] when that day comes you have my as well as her mother's blessings." I looked at the mother and she nodded they then walked away and all the way home I had only one thought in my head.

'I got their blessings to marry Velvet.'
