Second Impostor

(3rd PoV)

A few nights and days have passed. Not a single drop of blood has been spilled since Muffin's murder, and everyone was slightly more relaxed than before.

Maybe the Impostor only had a grudge against Muffin somehow? Could they be safe?

Dino pondered this question as he primed the main shields, pressing the red buttons on the screen to turn them white. When he pressed the final button, he looked at the small light next to the screen to see that it had switched to a bright green light. Nodding in satisfaction, Dino continued down the hallway to reach O2.

As he rounded the corner near Navigation, he suddenly heard a thump sound. He looked around, confused and paranoid as hell. What if it was the Impostor? Was he going to kill him?

Dino looked up at the camera mounted on the wall outside Navigation. The red light wasn't blinking.

No one would see him die, and no one would see his killer.

Dino immediately booked it down the hall, away from whatever was making that sound. He stopped when he got to Weapons, where he knew he had a task anyways. Dino walked over to the device attached to the wall, hooked up his watch, and began to download some files. He didn't know why it was a need-to-do task, but if it had to be done, it had to be done.

He was so immersed in the task, however, that he didn't hear the thumping he had heard earlier come closer.

Something. Someone. Plotting his demise.

He didn't realize the sounds until...

Something popped out of the vent next to him.

Dino yelped in surprise and fell backwards. Whatever came out did the same, just as surprised as Dino. Dino shook his head and regained his bearings. He looked up to see a very surprised Blaza peeking out of the vent.

"Blaza?!" Dino exclaimed, "What are you doing in the vents?! You scared the crap out of me!"

"I was... uh-cleaning!" Blaza said quickly, "Yeah. Cleaning the vents!"

Dino could immediately tell that he was lying.

"You sure...?" Dino questioned.

Blaza nodded. His expression was slightly panicked and flushed.

Suddenly, the voice came back. Working its way into Blaza's mind like a parasite.

Very good, child... time to finish the job...

Blaza reached into his pocket, slowly so that Dino wouldn't notice, and felt the grip of the metal knife he stole from the Cafeteria.

Blaza crawled out from the vent, shutting it behind him and keeping his knife hidden. He turned and helped Dino, who was still on the ground, get back up.

He glanced around to make sure no one was nearby, then looked back at the reptilian hybrid. He took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, Dino."

"Wha-"

Dino didn't have time to finish his sentence before he fell to the ground, Blaza's knife in his chest.

Blaza stepped back and breathed shakily. Dino's corpse lay on the ground, his eyes still wide with shock, but gazing out to nothing.

Unmoving.

Unbreathing.

I just killed someone.

Blaza looked around quickly before scrolling through his watch until he found the button that called an emergency meeting. He pressed it, and the alarm went off, similarly to when Muffin's body was reported.

Soon, everyone would be here.

And all attention would most likely be pinned on Blaza.

(???? PoV)

YOU DID WHAT?!

It was necessary for the plan to continue on. A little help never hurts.

It was one thing when you used me to kill. It's an entire other thing to MAKE SOMEONE ELSE DO IT, TOO!

Y'know, you'd think imprisoning you in the depths of your own mind would shut you up.

You're gonna have to do more than that.

Oh, really? Would you like me to do worse?

...

That's what I thought. One more word out of you, and I will insure that I have full control of this body. And you know what I mean by that.

...Fine.

"Blaza? You good?"

Blaza snapped out of his daze of shock at Meme's voice. Yep. Everything was still happening. There was still a murderer. And he was still a second one.

"I asked, did you see anyone when you walked in on the body?" Meme questioned.

"N-no..." Blaza stuttered.

"Was anyone on the cameras?" Meme asked, turning to the rest of the group. No one replied.

"Well, I say we should vote someone out," Nadwe piped up, his voice sparked with a slight aggression. He was still angry about the death of Muffin. "We've had two deaths already. Two! We need to get this guy out of here!"

Multiple agreements were heard among the crewmates.

Meme nodded. "I agree. But what if we vote out someone innocent unknowingly? We won't even know if they were the killer until someone else dies!"

"I think it's worth the risk."

Everyone turned to the source of the voice. Socks was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, his eyes boring into Blaza's skull. Blaza looked away nervously.

He wouldn't vote me out, right? I'm helping him, so he won't kill me.

Yeah.

"The Impostor needs to be taken down. So if we can narrow it down to someone, we can get them out," Socks said. Everyone else nodded. That made sense.

"So, who do we know has possibly had something against Muffin and Dino?" Meme said, "Let's start with that."

"Well, Woolf and Dino have been fighting a bit lately the past few days," Joocie said.

"Hey, it's not my fault!" Woolf growled, "He kept calling me a furry!"

"You are a furry, though."

"Shut up, Joocie."

Meme cleared his throat to get everyone's attention back. "Alright. That's helpful. Anything else?"

No one uttered a word. Nothing.

"I say we vote out Woolf," Blaza finally piped up. "We have the most proof against him so far. Even if that's not that much at all."

Various mutters were heard among the others. Blaza looked up at Socks worriedly. Socks nodded slightly, although his emotionless, ever-serious expression did not change.

"I say Woolf as well," Socks said.

Woolfster, who was already shocked at the fact that Blaza had accused him, was at this point sputtering out of anger.

"What?!" He said, his tail tip twitching as it slightly curled between his legs. "I didn't do anything!"

"Your fear is making you look less innocent by the second," Socks retorted, rolling his eyes.

Laff shrugged. "He's not wrong, Woolfster."

"I'M AFRAID BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE THREATENING TO EJECT ME!" Woolf exclaimed. He glared at Blaza, and his expression switched from fearful to angry.

"You," he growled, "I swear, when I get my hand on you-"

Suddenly, Woolfster attempted to lunge at Blaza, but was held back by Laff and Joocie. The two British men then dragged Woolf towards the airlock. The furry growled and struggled to free himself.

It wasn't enough to escape his doom.

Joocie and Laff both threw him into the airlock and sealed it. Woolf banged on the door, his angered voice muffled by the thick metal door.

And all was silenced when Socks pressed the button labeled "eject."

Woolf was dead. Ejected. Gone.

Both furries be dead. Oof.

I suddenly really enjoy writing in 3rd person :/
