Satou-chan thought standing before the door to "her" apartment, locking the bottom door lock

"Where are you going Otou-san?"

Appearing out of nowhere , Yui tugged on my coat still in her pajamas

"I'm going out to visit someone, I should be back before lunch"

"Okay Otou-san! Stay safe!"

Patting my daughters head i left outside and stretched , yawning a bit before leaving the apartment building in my car...

[1 hour 27 minutes later]

I checked my phone for at least five times , making sure nothing important will came up

"nothing, good. Finally i can get this over with"

Coming up to the door i took notice that the surroundings looked like Mizukis apartment before i came into her life...

*Knock knock*

I reached for my knife ready to strike as soon as she opens the door, but when that happened i froze

Before me stood a 5 foot tall woman with straight, sapphire bluish-black hair that nearly reaches to the middle of her hips with straight bangs that frame her familiar looking face, strands that reach to her neck and blue eyes that has a sapphire tint

"Y-Yūna?..."

Baffled by seeing the very last person i expected to see ever again i stepped back in surprise

"Ummm, h-hi?"

Yūna hides slightly behind the door , cautiously eyeing me

"Yūna... It's me, (Y/n)..."

She stood there for a second before realization hit her, eyes widened in surprise with several emotions flowing through her before setting to a gloomy one

"Oh (n/n) , I'm.... Glad to... see you again..."

"Yūna...?"

Turning her back to me , i was invited for some tea

'this place is a mess, just like Mizukis was, minus the horrible odor...'

I thought sitting down at the low table , in the meantime i made sure my weapons weren't visible. I'm not here to kill anyone this time

When Yūna came back with the tea i was ready to ask questions but...

"Yūna, are you okay?"

Worry laced my words after seeing Yūna tearing up looking down at the table , gripping her cup tightly

"You weren't supposed to see me in this state, *sniff* I'm sorry"

Yūnas voice cracked , ashamed that her only best friend had to see her living in a dirty apartment because she wasn't capable of finding a job to pay for anything. (Y/n) noticed the eviction notice letters on the floor beside the entrance door

"Ever since you left my life's been hell (y/n)-kun waaahhh!"

Yūna broke down rubbing her eyes trying to get rid of the tears, seeing Yūna in this state awakened something within me... It was just like the feeling i got when i met Mizuki....

"Yūna... Who, did this to you..."

I sat beside Yūna pulling her in a hug as she burried her head in my jacket weeping quietly

"M-my husband, T-tawagoto...."

As i continued to hold Yūna in my embrace she told me about everything , her broken family , the abuse, and even about what happened with Shio-chan. Few hours later it was getting dark

"Yūna, can you let go? I kinda want to go home"

"No! You should stay the night, M-mangler could get you at any time!"

'uhhhh'

"Y-yeah, good idea. Let me just make a quick phone call okay?"

Agreeing Yūna released me before leaving the room to get the futons

"Hey honey, i just wanted to inform you that I'm having a sleepover at a friend's apartment.... of course not, I'm only 35..... whatever, see you tomorrow. Love you"

Sighing i got up to help help Yūna with the futons, after that i ordered takeout , we ate in silence with few words exchanged here and there. After dinner it was time for bed.

As i dressed down to my shorts i was suddenly hugged from behind by Yūna who sported a bright blush

"Yūna-chan?"

"(Y/n)-kun... Please sleep with me , i feel scared sleeping alone. Please"

Not being able to resist her pleading, (y/n) allowed it. They got under the covers hugging each other exchanging body heat

'Yūna-chan, I've made up my mind, I'm making you mine. I'll protect you from any danger in this world. Just you, me, Mizuki , and Yui. A happy family.... But... There's still the pest that hurt you and shio... My family"

Dark thoughts clouded his mind as he imagined how he'll end Tawagoto's life before falling asleep

[Next day, morning]

*Bzzzt bzzzt*

Waking up from my peaceful slumber , i turned off the alarm before trying to get up

"no, not yet....."

Yūna held onto my arm with a tight grip making it impossible for me to escape

"I need to run a very important errand this morning, can you please let me go Yūna-chan? I'll come back right after it's finished, i promise"

Still holding on tightly I decided on a risky move, i lent to her face and pecked her forehead

"(Y-y-/n)?!"

Yūna kicked me off of her in shock staring as i got up on my feet

'That...felt good'

"Did i startle you that much Yūna-chan? I'm sorry"

Kneeling beside his best friend (y/n) caressed Yūna's hair , she only blushed and looked away smiling

"N-no, it's okay (y/n). But, promise me you'll come back as soon as possible"

"Of course, Yūna-chan. I'll order some breakfast for you on the way"

After dressing up (y/n) left the apartment to get rid of the scum Yūna was forced to marry.

"Huh? It's about Sato?"

Shoko answered to the sudden phonecall from her manager

"Yep , that's right. Actually something got returned to us when i sent it to her through the mail. Did the Matsuzakas move?"

"Uhhh..."

"Well... I was thinking of asking her myself... but she's like really cagey. And i feel like she's got some special circumstances at home. So that's why I'm asking you about it, sorry for calling when you're out"

On the other side of the call Shoko stood sweating nervously

"Ohhh... She's really popular and had some people sort of stalk her, so she might be trying to keep her address a secret from those around her. But isn't she hanging out at her boyfriend's house anyway? Not like I'd tell anyone..."

Shoko muttered the last sentence

"I see, so there really is a lot going on with her. Shoko , do you know where Matsuzaka lives? Oh, but you don't have to tell me."

"Right. I don't know if it's where she lives now but... I did go over to her house once... But when i rang the bell, no one came out... Even though i got the feeling someone was at home"

(Y/n) stood silently before the house where the man who abused Yūna-chan lives, he retreats to his car to retrieve some 'special' tools that he'll be using to torture that wretched man

*Knock knock*

Footsteps drew near the door followed by a couple of grumblings

"Who- *bam*"

As soon as i saw his face i decked him with such amount of force i could hear his skull crack

"Mmmggghh!!"

Taping his mouth shut i closed the door leaving just me and him

"I always had fun doing this to people, but you... You're the first and i hope last person I'll do it to out of hatred"

I dragged the half unconscious man by his hair into a living room where i roughly threw him on the low table breaking it earning more muffled moans of pain

"Yūna didn't deserve any of this, i should have never left without her..."

[16 years ago , Sendai city]

Many years before (y/n) met Mizuki , and even before Yūna met the man that he was currently brutally beating up. He and Yūna were best friends all throughout elementary and middle school. Nothing could part the two , living right next to eachother they always hanged out either in theatres or to a shooting range. People who often saw them thought they were a couple. That would be true if it haven't been for (y/n) ignoring all of her "moves" , said moves were just a little confession messages , written on a miniature piece of paper that she placed half a meter away from him thinking he'll notice.... but Yūna wasn't mad or anything, she would just keep on trying.

[Friday morning, 2002]

*Beep* *beep*

"Yeah yeah i hear you, shut up man"

Turning off the alarm the young (y/n) got up from his bed stretching before heading downstairs to make breakfast

"Oh i forgot.... They're not here..."

(Y/n) murmured staring at the four small trays with a bowl of steamed rice and a cup of green tea on each one. During breakfast (y/n) occasionally stopped mid bite for a moment before continuing.

After breakfast it was time for the worst thing of the day, school. Changing into his uniform (y/n) made sure to look perfect, he wouldn't want to look bad in front of Yūna

Getting his bag, (y/n) limped outside locking the door behind him before heading to Yūnas house

*Doorbell noises*

When the doors opened i was greeted by Yūnas mother, i politely greeted her before she called Yūna that i was here for her

"(Y/n)... I'm really sorry for what happened to your family"

Yūna said out of nowhere sadly as we were halfway to the school

"... It's okay, they're in a better place now"

The rest of the walk to school was silent along with the rest of the time in school

'I need to move on, if i do this I'll be able to push this pain of guilt out of my head."

I smiled slightly sitting alone on a bench in a park not too far from school

"(Y/n)-kun , you wanted to talk with me?"

Yūna approached from a distance , phone in hand and with a worried expression

"Y-yea, this is something... really important you should know about...sit down please"

Doing as i said Yūna sat right beside me as i gathered the courage to face her and tell my plan

"... I'm leaving Sendai..."

*Clack*

Yūnas eyes widened with her grip on the phone tightening

"Why, is it because of what happened to your family? We can get through this together! We're the best friends! I'll do-!"

I brought Yūna in for a tight hug

"Yūna-chan, please let me do this alone. I promise I'll come back to you"

"R-really?"

"Really. Here, let me give you something"

I backed a bit before going in and connecting my lips to Yūnas

"!!!"

She immediately melted in as we continued to sit there hugging and kissing

"(N-n/n) i..."

"I know..., When i get back let's go on a date okay?"

That cute smile of his... Yūna wasn't able to resist and began to cry with happiness

"Yes! Yes! That sounds great!"

"Hehehe, i know it does. See you soon Yūna-chan!"

"Bye (Y/n)-kun!"

Pecking Yūna on the lips one last time (y/n) limped away to gather things in his house. When Yūna left the park she bumped into someone that will change her life forever...

"THAT HURT YA DUMB BROAD!"
