Phoebe and Lindsey V.S Max
(I took out 'the sequel' part of the title because Lindsey wasn't in the first one)
Lindsey's POV
The past that I buried in a grave before I came to Hiddenville has been dug up and it will be extremely difficult to bury it again.
I haven't spoken to any of the Thunderman's about what happened last week with Koh and Lexi. Daniel hasn't brought it up because he knows I don't want to talk about it.
I'm slowly turning into the troublemaker Lindsey that hides her feelings and will injury anyone who threatens her.
Physically, I haven't changed to anyone and I still act the same because I don't want any to be suspicious about my behavior. I'm still a superhero and I still have my cape. Phoebe has her superhero cape now, she had a ceremony not to long ago.
I don't deserve my cape at all. I did a few good deeds with my powers and I earned a cape for it. I could've killed someone but that went unnoticed. Seems about right.
Nobody would except me if they found out my true colors. They would think I'm a troublemaker and dispose of me in an instant.
I approached the Thundermans house with my cape on. I was very excited for Phoebe and we have agreed to be partners.
Thunder Girl and Echo Girl. Has a nice ring to it.
I opened the door and saw Phoebe and Max bickering. Phoebe stopped when she noticed me and beamed.
"Cape buddy!" Phoebe came over to me and we hugged tightly.
"I'm so happy for you!" I giggled. "Now we get to fight crime together!"
"I know! Fighting crime with my superhero bestie!" Phoebe smiled and I glanced at her brother.
"Well earned for saving Max's life," I mentioned and Max rolled his eyes.
"Like anyone cares that you and Lindsey saved my life," Max complained and the doorbell rang.
Phoebe opened the door and Cherry popped in. She gasped when she saw Phoebe's cape, she already knew about mine.
"Is that the cape you got for when you guys saved Max's life." Cherry wondered with a huge smile.
"Don't make me freeze your friend," Max warned.
'Alert! Alert! Incoming transmission from Super President Kickbutt'
Hank and Barb ran into the living room and we approached the Thunder Monitor.
"Hello, Thundermans and Ms. Earnest." Kickbutt greeted. "And the local girl you just had to tell your secret too."
Cherry smiled. "Looking good Ms. Butt."
"I'm calling for Phoebe and Lindsey. The Hero League has decided to give you both a trial run to protect your very own city." Kickbutt informed and Cherry, Phoebe, and I looked at each other in shock. "Hiddenville."
All of us, besides Max, was excited.
"Our girls are protecting Hiddenville!" Hank exclaimed and all of us hugged, excluding Max.
"This is so awesome!" Phoebe and I spoke with excitement.
"Hiddenville is the perfect place for both of you to learn the art of managing a normal life while fighting crime in the shadows," Kickbutt explained and Phoebe scoffed.
"What makes you think we're ready for something like this."
Phoebe was being modest but she knew we were both ready.
"Isn't it obvious? Both of you saved Max's life." Kickbutt mentioned and all of us laughed at her statement. Phoebe whipped her cape in Max's face as we all laughed.
It was sad seeing Max being excluded but I was way too happy.
----
The following day Phoebe and I walked into the Thunderman's house with exciting news. We both landed an audition for the Hiddenvile Junior Ballet and Jazz. Phoebe got the audition for Ballet and I got one for Jazz.
Ballet is not my favorite, I love Jazz.
"Guys!" Phoebe exclaimed as we walked in. "Guess what?"
"I just landed an audition for the Hiddenville Junior Jazz," I informed them with a huge smile.
"And I just landed an audition for the Hiddenvile Junior Ballet." Phoebe smiled. "Everything's coming up Phoebe and Lindsey!"
We both fists bumped.
Max lifted up a five-year-old Chloe in our faces.
"Activate Vomit Comic."
Barb slapped her son and came up to us.
"That's fantastic girls, but you're gonna have a lot on your plates. With ballet and Jazz, and being Hiddenviles protectors." Barb informed us.
"Not a problem with this sweet surveillance tablet from the Hero League." I grinned and Phoebe pulled out the tablet. "Check it out."
Phoebe started to swipe the screen to show Barb all the places that were being recorded.
"It scans the town for all the suspicious activity so we'll know when to split even if we're-" Phoebe paused and she slid into her splits and I lifted my leg all the way up and held it there. "Mid split."
"We get it. You both are flexible." Phoebe grinned, annoyed.
Phoebe stood up and I let my leg go.
From the kitchen, a superhero doctor walked out. It was Dr. Ouch.
"Before I leave I should warn you, Flamingo Flu is running rampant in the Superhero Community this year." Dr. Ouch warned us.
"Ah yes, Flamingo Flu the virus that slowly turns you into a Flamingo," Max explained.
"Great, another internet doctor." Dr, Ouch sarcastically said and I smiled with amusement.
Or it's just obvious because it says it in the name.
"My cousin Lydia had Flamingo Flu and she used to be a teacher and now she works at the zoo, three shows a day," Barb explained to us and I giggled under my breath.
"The only way to fight a superbug is with a superbug." Dr. Ouch informed. "Chloe's too young to catch but you'll all have to take these."
He showed us seven superbugs, four were pink and three were blue.
"Yes, Arrecktor bionics! You go, Boo Boo." Max smiled.
Max's nerdy side is showing which is something I adore.
(Btw did I spell Arrecktor right? I doubt I did so please tell me how to spell it correctly)
"It's Ba Boo." Dr. Ouch corrected, sternly. We each grabbed one from the jar and we each took it. Doesn't hurt, just tingles.
"There's one left." Dr, Ouch mentioned.
"That one's Billy's," Chloe spoke.
"Oh, did I not grab mine?" Billy questioned, nervously. "Silly Billy."
"Trust me, Billy, these spiders don't hurt." Dr, Ouch assured Billy.
Billy took the last superbug.
Max took his bug and winced.
"Ow!"
Billy looked afraid by his reaction.
"Oops, I was stepping on his foot." Dr. Ouch chuckled.
"Max, are you okay? Or are we gonna have to save your life again?" Phoebe teased and we both chuckled.
"I heard about that. Can you two sign my lab coat?" Dr. Ouch asked us, handing us each a pen.
"Okay, I don't need this! I'm gonna be in my lair planning evil and ironing my jeans." Max declared. "Evilly!"
I felt Max kiss my check before he left.
Phoebe and I finished signing Dr. Ouch's lab coat and he turned to us
"Too bad, you guys weren't looking when I took that. Cause I took it like a champ." Billy told us, proudly.
Or he was lying like a champ. He was lying, I could sense it.
Just like I'm lying to everyone about who I am.
----
Later that day, Phoebe and I were sitting on her couch looking at the surveillance tablet we got. We were both in our super suits waiting for something to come up.
"Come on Hiddenville, give us something." Phoebe pleaded. "Anything!"
"Hey, they are my little Cape Crusaders!" Hank greeted with a grin. "Keeping the couch crime free I see."
"The whole town is crime free that's the problem," I complained to Hank.
"All we did today was return somebody's lost wallet," Phoebe informed.
"Thanks by the way," Hank mentioned, showing us his found wallet.
"Yep." I sighed.
"Mhmm." Phoebe nodded.
"Look, the Hero League always starts you out in an easy town," Hank explained sitting down on the couch. "My first job was protecting Lamesville."
"Really?" Phoebe and I questioned simultaneously.
"I thought you both knew that. Isn't that you two always say I'm from 'Lamesville?"' Hank asked us.
Phoebe and I scoffed, sharing a look.
"Of course." I smiled.
"Duh, totally," Phoebe said before sighing. "Dad, we fought King Crab. Now we're fighting to stay awake."
"Baby steps girls. Remember this is all about learning to balance between being a superhero and dance and your love of ponies." Hank explained to us.
"Ponies are Nora." Phoebe corrected her father.
"Sorry," Hank apologized feeling guilty. "There's a lot of girls in this house now."
"Okay fine, balance." Phoebe sighed and I smiled along.
"I guess we should practice for our auditions until-" I got cut off when out tablet buzzed. We were both in our splits when the tablet went off.
Hank peeked over. "Silent alarm tripped at the High School."
"Finally our town needs us." Phoebe chirped and we both smiled at one another.
"Huh? We really need to split mid-split." I mentioned.
"Give it a rest, Bendy and Flexy." I heard Nora say as she passed by us.
I rolled my eyes at her comment before Phoebe and I left the house for Hiddenville.
----
Phoebe and I made it to the Hiddenville High and we split up. She took the backside and I took the entrance.
I saw a person stealing the trophies from the trophy case and I stood in my power pose.
"Unhand those accomplishments!"
I jogged down the stairs but slowed down when I noticed it was my idiot of a boyfriend.
I rolled my eyes and removed my red mask.
"Lindy?"
"Max, I should've known this was you." I scoffed.
"Of course, I'm the only one in this town who cares about evil," Max replied as I approached him.
"That's right." I wondered aloud. "You are?"
"So, are you gonna turn me into my mom and dad?" Max questioned and I formed a smile on my face.
"Actually, how about I let you go?"
"Lindsey!"
I turned to see at the top of the stairs.
"Did you catch the bad guy?"
"No, but I caught Max." I joked and Phoebe rolled her eyes.
"Hey," Max whined and I faced him with a smug smile.
"Of course this was him, should've known." Phoebe sighed, joining us. "What should we do with him?"
"I have an idea. How about we let him go." I suggested and they were both confused. "Max gets to keep committing his 'little crimes' and we get to practice stopping him. It's a win-win. Well for us, because we'll always win."
"I like that." Phoebe praised and we hi-fived.
Max nodded. "Okay, I accept your challenge, but when I win. I'll be the one flaunting it in your guys' faces."
I raised my eyebrow at him and Max cleared his throat.
"I'll be flaunting it in Phoebe's face." Max corrected and I gave him a grin. "And you'll never catch me."
Max chuckled and ran straight into the door.
I snickered and Max turned to us.
"The door caught me, not you two," Max told us before leaving.
----
"I was this close to stealing those jewels!"
Phoebe and I tossed Max into the house.
"Ahhhh!"
----
"I was this close to starting an elephant stampede!"
Phoebe and I tossed him into the house again.
"Ahhh!"
----
Phoebe and I dragged a dirty Max onto the porch.
"We were this close to not catching you!" Phoebe joked and I chuckled. Phoebe snickered. "Just kidding it was easy."
We were about to throw him in but Max waved us off.
"No, I'll throw myself in." Max groaned and leaped into the house. "This isn't over!"
----
The following day after many successful nights of catching Max it was audition day for Phoebe. My audition is tomorrow which made me happy because I get to support and watch Phoebe.
Phoebe and I walked down the steps to the Thunderman family, except Max.
"Hey everyone, it's Phoebe and Lindsey! Let's ask them things now!" Billy spoke in a loud voice.
"Off to your big audition, Phoebe." Hank smiled at his daughter.
"Yep, wish me luck." Phoebe smiled and right then the tablet went off.
I took out the tablet from Phoebe's bag and I let out a small sigh,
"Duty calls," I informed Phoebe and I could sense the sadness in her but she didn't express it.
"I guess we have to save the day before my audition," Phoebe stated. "Gotta go."
We both left and I looked at my best friend.
"Phoebe, this crime is probably just Max and not a big deal," I told her. "I can handle it myself."
"You're probably right but we're a team and we take down crime together." Phoebe smiled proudly.
"This is Max we're talking about, you know?" I reminded her and she knew I was right.
"Phoebe, I can handle this myself. Go to your audition." I suggested and Phoebe was taking it into consideration. "There will always be more crimes we can do together."
Phoebe let out a sigh and gave me a soft smile. "Alright, I'll go to my audition. I'm so glad we're partners, Linds."
"Me too. Good luck." I smiled at her and we both hugged.
"Thanks and have fun catching Max." Phoebe joked and I chuckled.
"I will," I told her before we went our separate ways.
----
I got dressed in my super suit and headed to the Department of Water and Power. I searched the area looking for my boyfriend.
"Alright, let's get this over with Max. I want to see Phoebe at her audition and- Woah!" I stopped mid-sentence when I saw my boyfriend's head was wedged between two doors. I smiled smugly. "Aw, how cute. Defeated by a door. What's new?"
"I'm about to have my head popped like a zit, just get me out of here," Max demanded.
"Alright fine, whatever." I rolled my eyes and was about to open the door but Max stopped me.
"Wait!" Max said. "Kiss me first."
I didn't argue and kissed his lips. I pulled away and opened the door so Max could get free. I felt something get attached to my wrist and I saw two gold wrist straps were wrapped around my wrists.
"Sorry babe but I'm not the one who's gonna need saving this time," Max smirked and I ignored the feeling it gave me.
"What do you mean?" I asked him with confusion.
"Just the worlds only gold attracting magnet," Max told me and before I could respond I was pulled over to a weird device that I assumed was the magnet.
"Max, what are you doing?!" I asked him, struggling against the magnet.
"I'm about to take down your town. I told you this wasn't over." Max told me with a sinister looking smile. I felt his hands grip my waist. "But don't worry, I won't hurt you."
I rolled my eyes at him and Max walked away, leaving me to struggle.
"Yes! Victory is mine!" Max cheered. "You're the worst! I'm the best! Maxie T is the evillest!"
I groaned as I imagined him cheering and flaunting himself around.
"Hey Max, do you want me to keep being your girlfriend?" I asked him.
"Yes!" He quickly replied.
"Then shut up!" I exclaimed.
Don't get angry Lindsey.
Max fell silent and I sighed.
"Fine, you win this round. Now, will you please let me go so I can get to Phoebe's audition." I begged him.
"You're not going anyway, Thunderturd." Max countered and I rolled my eyes at his nickname.
"That's not offensive to me." I scoffed.
"Echoturd." Max corrected and I growled under my breath. "See these pipes! They bring water to the city and I'm gonna melt them with this Nitric Acid and turn Hiddenville into a desert. Maxie T's on fire!"
"Max, wait!" I protested. "It's not too late to stop."
"I'm afraid it is, babe," Max told me.
"No, I mean it's not too late to stop calling yourself Maxie T." I corrected.
"Hey, pipe down!" Max snapped and I glared. "Get it? Pipe!" Max chuckled. "That's going into Maxie T's chronicle? That's right the name stays!"
Max is really getting me upset. It seems like a Boyfriend V.S Girlfriend situation. I really like him but he is crossing the darn line.
"Come on, Linds. Time to unleash operation defeat the idiot boyfriend." I told myself. "Maybe I can melt the wiring in the magnet."
I used my fire manipulation on the wires and the wire melted.
"The only thing that could go wrong is if the polarity reverses and-"
The polarity reversed and I fall onto my back due to the power from the magnet. I got onto my feet and I ran over to the pipes.
"Max, you have to stop," I exclaimed to my boyfriend.
"Too late, princess. The Nitric Acid is already making its way to the pipes." Max smirked. I noticed some smudge on the nitric acid barrel and I grabbed a rag. I rubbed the smudge off and noticed that the nitric acid was actually citric acid.
In other words; orange juice.
I scoffed and smiled at Max. "Yeah, I'm not too sure about that, pretty boy."
Max gave me a confused look.
"It's not nitric acid, it's citric acid, ya idiot. In other words, orange juice." I chuckled, throwing the rag down.
"What?" Max said and checked the barrel. Max moved away and looked at his smartwatch. "Colosso, how could this happen?!"
"You try shopping online with paws." Colosso countered.
I smirked at my boyfriend. "Yum, free orange juice for everyone. It's like your Hiddenville's other superhero: Captain Backfire."
Max groaned. "I want to crush this town! Not provide it with a balanced breakfast. Gotta stop that juice."
Max looked around and spotted the outflow pipe.
"The outflow pipe." Max stepped forward and used his heat breath on the pip which caused it to shrink.
"Max, what have you done? You're gonna back up the whole system and all the pipes will burst." I exclaimed to him, alarmed.
"Ugh, you're so dramatic, Lindsey." Max taunted, sarcastically and I gave him a look.
Suddenly an alarm started to blare and some pipes started to burst.
"But you're not wrong." Max corrected. "Good enough for my evil chronicle. Let's get out of here before this place blows!"
"No, I'm not going anyway!" I declared. "This is my city! I have to protect."
Orange juice leaked out of a pipe and I covered it with my hand. Another leak happened and I covered it with my other hand.
Max ran up to me. "I can't leave you."
"Cause I'm your girlfriend?" I questioned, feeling flattered.
"Yes, but the doors are also locked," Max replied and I rolled my eyes. At least he didn't say no.
Max crawled by me and stopped another leak from happening from behind me with his hand and foot.
About a minute had passed and we were still in this sticky situation. Another leak happened and Max reluctantly covered it with his cheek.
"There's another leak over there," Max informed me.
I had no more hands and I wasn't tall enough to reach it.
"Uh..." I trailed off and put my foot up to cover it. It barely reached it but I was able to cover it.
"Ugh, I hope Phoebe is doing good at her audition," I complained. "Why did you make me miss her audition?"
I slide my hand down and let the orange juice squirt at Max. I covered it back up moments later.
"That's enough!" Max scolded. "This isn't my fault. It's yours and Phoebe."
"Oh yeah, how you figure? You're the one trying to destroy Hiddenvile, you freshly squeezed fool!" I argued.
"It wasn't really you, it was mainly Phoebe. It was because of that dumb challenge and she wouldn't stop blabbing about saving my life." Max protested.
"Since when do you care about your sister teasing you? I do it all the time and you don't seem to care." I asked him.
"When you do it, it's cute but with Phoebe." Max pasued and cleared his throat. "With her, everything's been coming up Phoebe and Lindsey and I've been in a total evil slump while the both of you are out saving me, saving the town, doing that weird thing you do with your leg. How do you even do that?"
"Max, I'm not as great as you think." I Began and started to question if I should tell him about my past. "I-I... I shouldn't have to dare you to do crimes, I should be out doing them myself with your sister. I'm sorry, Max."
"I'm not upset with you, it's Phoebe. I'll talk to Phoebe after this." Max told me and I suddenly didn't feel as guilty.
Another leak squrited out.
"Warning! System Failure in Ten Seconds! Assume Last Protocall!
"There's gotta be a way to shut down the system before it explodes!" I exclaimed and looked back at Max. "Oh! We need to turn that wheel!" I noticed that Max had to. "Max, I don't have any hands left or telekinesis. You have to do it!"
"So lazy." Max teased.
"Do it before I hurt you!" I snapped and Max used his telekinesis to turn the wheel. The orange juice slowly stopped and the doors opened.
"System Restored."
I lowered my leg and removed my hands from the pipes.
I sighed and turned to my boyfriend, "Max , you did it. You saved Hiddenville."
"No, I saved you which makes us even!" Max chuckled and I rolled my eyes.
"Fine, whatever."
Max hopped down from the pipes and I looked around.
"I wonder where all the orange juice went." I wondered.
"Who cares? Everything's finally coming up, Max!" Max declared and right then all the orange juice bursted up from the vents below his feet and Max got shot up into the air.
Once the orange juice was gone, Max fell to the ground soaking wet and was panting.
I stood there in shock. "And now everything's coming down, Max."
"This is so not going in my chronicle." Max sighed, groaning.
I went up to Max and knelt down. I planted a kiss on his forehead and let out a giggle.
"Did I ever tell you that you look extremely cute when you're in pain?"
----
On our way home, we met with Phoebe and she didn't get into the Junior Ballet but she wasn't bummed out about it. We explained to her what happened and she was glad we were okay but thought it was funny when Max thought the Citric acid was nitric acid. She apolgized for blabbing about her saving Max and they put that small feud behind them.
I decided to head home because I was exhausted from the long day. I kissed Max goodnight and said goodbye to Phoebe before we parted ways.
It was a very juicy night for us.
