Lindsey's POV

It's been weeks since we lasted contacted our dad and I'm so worried. What if something happened and he got injured?

"Danny, how many times have you tried?" I asked my brother, who was attempting to video chat him again.

"This is the tenth time and-" The call didn't get responded too and I sighed, sadly. "Still no response."

Daniel saw my expression and hugged me tightly. I didn't hug back due to my downcast mood.

"Don't be to upset. The service at the base could just be down, okay?" He assured me and kissed the top of my head.

I just nodded and gently pulled away from his embrace.

"We'll try again later." Daniel added as I began to leave the kitchen. I didn't reply and walked up the stairs to my bedroom.

I got a message from Phoebe saying that she needs help with Link's brother, Harris. I was going to Harris's surprise birthday party tonight so it would be nice to get to know that little guy beforehand.

Daniel went to the birthday party while I checked up on Phoebe. She texted me again saying she had a her issue and summed it by saying that Harris put on an evil eye patch and is attacking her and Max.

Wonderful.

I rushed over to the Thunderman's house and walked in to see nobody here.

"Phoebe! Max!" I called, walking behind the couch.

Suddenly, the twins ran out and looked inside slide to Max's room.

"Oh no, he's out." Phoebe said worriedly.

"Thanks a lot, Collosso!" Max called, sarcastically.

"You know what I am!" Collosso fired back.

The twins noticed me and Max smiled.

"Lindsey! Thank goodness you're here!" Phoebe exclaimed, happily.

"Yeah, I came as soon as you texted me. What happened with Harris?" I asked and looked at Max. "Max?"

Max gave me an offended look. "What makes you think I did this?"

"I don't know, who else in this family would create an evil eyepatch?" I remarked, folding my arms.

"This was all Phoebe. She took the eye patch and gave it to Harris." Max accused, pointing to his sister who whacked his arm.

"Max!"

"Over here!"

All of us yelped in fear and Max grabbed onto my arm. I patted his arm before shoving him off.

Harris shot a fireball at us but we dodged it and hid behind the counter in the kitchen. He continued to fire at us but thankfully we dodged all of them. It got insanely smoky in here and it smelt like burnt toast.

Max blocked some of the fireballs with his telekinesis, which saved me from getting hit by one.

"Oh no!" Phoebe cries. "It's time for Harris's surprise party!"

"What?!" Max called, not being able to her his sister over the sizzling and fireblasts.

"It's time for Harris's surprise-"She lowered her voice when she noticed that Harris was listening. "Party...."

Harris smiled happily, causing his balls of fire to vanish. "Surprise Party?! I love surprises!" His smile faded and he became angry. "Did you guys just ruin the surprise?"

"No! Not all of it!" Max protested, "we didn't tell you about the pirates or laser tag-"

I whacked Max's arm and he realized what he was doing. Harris's hands filled up with fire and fury.

"I'm gonna stop talking now." Max finished, awkwardly.

"You ruined my surprise party and now I'm gonna ruin it for everyone else!" Harris screamed and launched a huge fire blast at us.

I gasped when it came right at Max and I pulled him away from it but it skimmed his hair.

He grabbed his newly cut hair that I just noticed and panicked.

"My swoosh! Girls, did he hurt my swoosh?!"

"No." I denied and ruffled his hair. "But I did."

He glared playfully at me before I looked over at Harris who had left.

Phoebe sighed, "We have to stop Harris before Link finds out I turned him evil and before anyone gets hurt."

I gave her a look. "Let's pretend you said those in reverse order."

Phoebe nodded, nervously.

Max typed something on his phone before looking at us. "Just texted Nora and got us a ride."

Moments later, Chloe appeared wearing an adorable pirate costume.

"All aboard the Chloe train! Choo Choo!" Chloe cheered. Max and Phoebe grabbed her hands and I grabbed Max's.

Chloe teleported is to Laze-Arrrr Tag and appeared in a photo booth.

Chloe popped out of the booth. "Ain't no party like a laser party!"

I smiled at this and giggled. I think Chloe surpasses Max as my favorite Thunderman.

The three of us peeked our heads out and saw a a group of kids dressed as pirates running into the arena.

Link chased after them. "Don't head into the arena yet, Harris isn't here! We have to yell surprise!"

Once they were gone, we walked out of the photo booth.

"Soon as Harris arrives we'll isolate him and destroy the patch." Phoebe declared.

"We're not destroying the patch." Max protested. "You're forgetting that part and it worries me."

I looked at the laser tag equipment and thought for a moment.

"Max," I picked up a laser tag gun. "Can you modify these so it can shoot real lasers so we can stop Harris and get the patch?"

Max's eyes lit up and nodded.

"Yeah! Smart idea, Lindy." Max praised and kissed my cheek. I blushed at this.

"Stop!"

"Link's coming!" Phoebe whispered and we quickly hid in the photo booth.

"Hey! Hey! Those aren't your presents!" I heard Link yell. "This isn't a vacation for you!"

I peeked my head out when Link left and we walked out when the coast was clear.

"Thanks to Chloe we should have a little time before Harris shows up." Phoebe spoke before Max worked on the laser tag guns.

I spotted Harris walking in and I sighed.

Should've seen this that coming.

"Or he stole a scooter." I mentioned and turned to Phoebe and Max. "He's here!"

We huddled together and hid our faces from Harris.

"Let's heat this party up." Harris said and I heard footsteps run by us and into the arena.

"Aw!" Max whined. "It should be me all one eyed menacing!"

Phoebe, Max, and I grabbed some laser tag equipment.

"Let's go." Phoebe motioned and we ran inside the arena.

Phoebe and I searched around the arena for Harris but we couldn't find him.

"Alright, we couldn't find Harris but I know he's in here somewhere." Phoebe told Max when we met up with him.

"Alright, I'm about to fire real lasers, better get these kids to safety." Max told us and I was impressed by this.

Max worrying about someone else's safety besides his and my own? That's new.

"Don't worry, we got a laser tag champ clearing them out." I assured him and gesturing over to the speedy blur that was Billy that was tagging the kids.

Once Billy got all the kids out, he ran up to us.

"Finally, a game no one can beat me at." Billy smiled and frowned. "Lindsey beats me in hide and seek when she turns invisible."

"I'm the champion at that." I smirked and sighed. "And sorry."

"About what?" Billy asked.

"This."

I shot Billy with my laser and his vest lost its lights.

"I had to." I shrugged, "sorry."

"Another game starts in fifteen minutes." Phoebe informed him and Billy walked out. "If this place is still standing."

"Alright, now that everyone is out, where is this freakish little fireball?" Max asked us.

"That was rude!"

We yelled in fear when Harris appeared on the ramp to the ship.

Harris formed a fireball and fired at Max. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and held it, groaning quietly.

What the heck was that?

"Woah!" Max yelled as he landed on the ground. "Why does he hate my clothes?"

I shook the pain I felt off and helped Max up off the ground and Phoebe approached Harris.

"Harris, I'm not gonna fight you okay?" Phoebe declared. "All I wanted was for us to be close but I took it to far and this is all my fault."

"Which part exactly?" Harris snapped. "The lying to me? The freezing me? The ruining my surprise?!"

"Makes a good point." I mumbled and Max grinned at this.

"Don't forget about our raven." Phoebe interjected. "He was a 'hoot!'"

"Shush! Raven's don't hoot and we are not bonding!" Harris stomped angrily.

"You're right! We're blasting that patch off your adorable little face!" Max exclaimed and raised his gun to fire but it fell apart. "Uhhhh..."

Max looked up with a sheepish expression. "Remember when Phoebe lied to you?"

Max grabbed my arm and pulled me behind his sister. Harris formed another fireball in his palm.

"I'm about to throw a fireball at you." Harris states. "Oh! I'm sorry, did I ruin the surprise?"

Harris was about to fire until a laser shot at his foot and he cried out. "Ow!

From the fog of the ship, Nora emerged and I smiled.

"Nora?" Max questions and Nora came over to us.

"Of course!" I grinned. "We have our own laser!"

"With a bow on it!" Phoebe added. "Nora, how did you know we needed help?"

"Billy told me and I knew it was time to do the right thing." Nora smirked, proudly.

"Of course you did. You're a superhero." Phoebe nodded.

"And I'm a super villain." Harris smirked with fire in his hands.

"Quick, Nora! Zap off the eye patch!" Phoebe instructed.

"Gently." Max suggested and I grabbed his arm.

Nora fires her laser but Harris blocked it with his hand and absorbed the laser.

"Cute lasers, I'll call you when I need a mole removed." Harris taunted and we all hid behind a pile of barrels as Harris fires the fireball.

"Let's see if he thinks this trick shots cute." Nora scowled. "Off the mirror, off the treasure chest-"

"Less yappy, more zappy!" I snapped at her.

Nora fires her trick shot and the laser bounced off multiple objects before striking the patch and it fell off Harris's eye.

Unfortunately for Max, the patch broke.

"You did it!" Phoebe and I cheered as we stood up. Harris walked forward, confused and dazed from the power of the patch.

"No! Are you okay?" Max asked and pushed passed Harris to his broken eye patch. "You were too evil for this world, Patchy."

"Harris, are you okay?" I asked him as Phoebe and I went up to him.

"I am now. Thank you for saving me from that evil eye patch." Harris smiled, gratefully.

"You should be thanking Phoebe mostly." I advised, nudging my best friend. Harris and Phoebe hugged and out of the corner of my eye I saw Link come in.

"Harris, how did you sneak by us?" He asked and widened his eyes. "I mean- Surprise!"

Link noticed Harris and Phoebe and how close they were.

"Aw, look at you guys." Link smiled and walked over to us. "Let me get a pic. Here put these eye patches on."

I moved back, shaking my head.

"Put those away!" Phoebe cried.

"Never again!" Harris exclaimed.

Link put the patches away. "Okay, let's get you a piece of cake and you can tell me all about your day."

Phoebe sighed. "Actually-"

"Actually, it was the best day ever. I'll save you a seat next to me, Phoebe." Harris interrupted, smiling at my best friend. They first bumped, smiling at one another.

Harris ran out of the arena.

"Wow, he really likes you." Link stated.

"What can I say? I guess he really warrrrmed up to me." Phoebe jokes and I rolled my eyes.

Link sniffed the air and crinkled his nose. "Is there something burning in here?"

"Cake time!" Phoebe chuckled and the couple and Nora left the arena.

Max came up to me, slightly disappointed.

"I hope Nora is proud of herself. She torched my eye patch getting her first superhero save."

"Well, it's actually saves. You, Phoebe, me, Harris, the kids at the party, probably the whole city-"

"Calm down, darling." Max cut me off and I giggled.

I wrapped my arm around his shoulder. "Cheer up, babe. You may have lost your patch but uh-" I checked the outfit Max was wearing and smirked. "But I think you found your new uniform."

I turned Max toward the mirror in the arena and he looked at himself.

He smiled, "Woah, you're right. I look super evil-Oh! My swoosh has totally bounced back." He chuckled and ran a hand through his hair.

I bit my lip trying to ignore the feeling he gave me when doing this. Why is Max so attractive?

"Don't flatter yourself to much." I joked and cleared my throat. "Even if you do look hot..."

"What was that, darling?" He asked, smirking and I turned away.

"Nothing!" I said leaving the arena.
