~Third~

They flew to the cave using the same system as before with Toriko and Ao flying on Shiro and Coco and Komatsu flying on Kiss, with this they soon arrived at the cave where the Puffer Whale would surface for breeding, that annoying reporter Tina showed up and ran over seeing Toriko, if I didn't know any better I'd say she has a crush on him, Ao thought.

Tina then saw Coco and said something about Toriko, Coco and Ao teaming up being a scoop with sprinkles, her sense of language makes none, Ao thought "Put that thing down please?" Coco asked with a harsh edge to his otherwise polite tone.

Ao smirked 'Way to tell that annoying reporter off Coco' she thought "I hate being rube but I hate being on camera much more" Coco explained bringing down Ao's spirits a bit but whatever, "So uhm did you come out here all by yourself?" Komatsu asked defusing the awkward "Despite this being a literally once in a decade thing, my camera and sound guy couldn't take the heat of the kitchen" Tina said looking around.

"Only the best of the best is here" Komatsu said, Ao scoffed "Only of the dirty fighter verity, that is to say most of the guys here are poachers waiting for a chance to steal from hard working Gourmet hunters"she said, Komatsu grew scared "There's still a chance we'll leave here alive, right?" he asked "For sure you have nothing to be scared of Komatsu" Toriko grinned.

They made their way to the mouth of the cave, "Holy garlic candy I can't do this!" Komatsu yelled, "Well with that out of your system let's get going" Toriko said stretching a bit, Ao giggled a bit at him "Always ready to go huh Toriko?" she asked, he grinned and nodded making her laugh a bit.

"The legendary Puffer Whale soon to be ours" Tina said but it was barely heard by our foursome, "What?" Komatsu asked turning to her "I want to see one in it's natural habitat and if that's something I want to experience so will my loyal viewers at home, I'll be the first reporter to show the Gourmet Age how to catch a Puffer whale, so that's that consider me a part of the team" she said.

"Well she's got guts I'll give her that but I bed she won't last for five minutes" Ao mumbled "Not a good idea I'm afraid" Coco said "You want to tag along go right on ahead, in life you make your own luck, right? And we'll make Puffer Whale Stew" Toriko said "That's horrible advice Toriko" Ao sweat dropped.

They walked into the cave with Coco leading the way, Ao followed behind him and Toriko behind her with Komatsu and Tina bringing up the rear "Thanks for the head lamp Tina now we can get eaten by monsters we'll at least get a good look at them first" Komatsu said, "Well normally we use them for filming but since my crew chickened out it's all yours" Tina said.

"That's all well and good but even still do not leave my side Komatsu" Coco said and Komatsu immediately left his side spotting some Snap Mushrooms capture level lower then 1, Toriko ran over as well and began eating some, Ao went over too and collected some of the Snap Mushrooms to use later.

"Hey Coco come on before Toriko eats them all" Komatsu called to him "I told you to not leave my side" Coco mumbled "Oh lighten up Coco you're too uptight sometimes you know" Ao said, and let's skip this stupid pointless scene, "Well that was odd" Toriko mumbled eating a Snap Mushroom "I see no shadow of death on her so she'll be fine" Coco said.

Coco, Ao, Toriko and Komatsu in that order continued deeper into the cave "Is it just me or are these caves getting a little tighter?" Komatsu asked "They are but this is the only way" Toriko said before taking a sniff of the air "The air is getting saltier the deeper we go" he said "Your nose is a thing of beauty Toriko" Komatsu said.

"Coco wait up what's the hurry?" Ao asked catching up to him only to slip and fall with a yelp before Coco caught her "You're right I'm sorry" he said and helped her up, Toriko glared a bit there was no way he was going to lose this pray to him.

Coco smirked and held her hand leading the way, "Hey slow down Coco my headlamp doesn't shine that far" Komatsu said "Don't worry about him, where I have a great nose he has great eyes, he can see anything from infrared to ultraviolet" Toriko said "Every eye has visual cells that serve to capture light my eyes have a hundred more visual cells then those of normal men" Coco explained.

"So even in the darkest cave I can see perfectly" he added "Not only that he can also see electromagnetic waves that even the sharpest man made machine can't, he uses this ability to read a person's future, to some extent" Ao said

Coco nodded "The waves are constantly changing color and shape that's what allows me to read a person's future" he explained a little further making Ao pout because it sounded cooler how she said it "That's so cool then what's my future? I become a world-famous chef, right?" Komatsu asked all excited stepping backwards not seeing he was headed for a pitfall until Coco warned him, but it was too late and Komatsu fell but Toriko caught him.

"Be more careful Komatsu, you're such a kid" Ao said "Have a nice trip?" Toriko smirked "I am so sorry" Komatsu said before he heard a sound "Do you hear that?" he asked and looked down revealing the source to be some Scorpion Roaches, insect beast capture level 7.

Komatsu screamed when Toriko pulled him up, Ao sneered at the bugs "I hate bugs" she stated, Toriko said something about the scorpions poisoning you and then eating your face as calmly as ever, "I'm going down there" Coco said taking off a few wrappings around him "Going down for what?" Komatsu asked as Coco turned purple.

"He's going to scare those scorpions away" Ao said "How?" Komatsu asked when Coco jumped down, the Scorpion Roaches got close to him and suddenly backed away, Ao then jumped down followed by Toriko with Komatsu on his back.

"I'm sorry if I scared you my powers tend to have that affect" Coco said once everyone had climbed down to where he was.

Ao put a hand on his shoulder, Coco looked at her and she smiled at him in reassurance, he just nodded.

"Gourmet hunters put anti poisons in their body to hunt poisonous animals" Toriko said "So how many are you protected against?" Komatsu asked him "I'd say around 70, Ao's protected against a few but mostly against the ones that kill instantly but Coco has antibodies for over 500 species even among Gourmet Hunters he's special" Toriko said.

"500?" Komatsu asked clearly stunned by this "I can encounter any type of poisons beast and chances are I'll have immunity" Coco said "But antibodies can only be created by injecting small amounts of poison, I've done this so many times to myself that the toxins have formed a new poison which I now carry in my pours, this poison is so potent it scares off most creatures but it has it's cost, I'm a poisonous man, a man living a solitary life, well we should be going" he said before walking off.

"I had no idea" Komatsu said "There was a group of scientist that hunted him for years like some dangerous animal cause they thought they could use the poisons inside him for research, cause he lived in fear of losing his freedom he gave up being a hunter" Toriko said "No wonder he doesn't like cameras or being interviewed"Komatsu said.

"And now you know" Ao said crossing her arms "So how will you act?"she asked confusing Komatsu "Will you outcast and treat him like a freak? Or will you hunt him down for science? Or will you be his friend?" she asked.

Komatsu thought long and hard about it when Coco called "Toriko! There's a hole here that goes straight down at least a hundred meters" he said, Ao, Toriko and Komatsu walked over "Since i can see in the dark I'll go down first" Coco said "Great and i'll be right on top of you" Komatsu said jumping on his back "Don't fight it"he said "But my skin is poison"Coco argued.

"Don't worry i'll be fine"Komatsu smiled chuckling a bit, Ao smiled as well he chose to be Coco's friend that's good now she doesn't have to pummel him into next week, "Suit yourself"Coco shrugged it off before climbing down on the rope with Komatsu on his back.

"If there's Sea Firefly's that means we're closing in on the beach" Toriko said sliding down the rope with Ao holding tightly onto him, Coco grew a bit jealous at that but he'll be damned if he'll let Toriko win.

They heard a scream from bellow "A Gourmet Hunter?"Toriko questioned "Not a very brave or strong one if you ask me" Ao said looking down over his shoulder her cleavage pressing against the back of his head making Toriko blush and Coco more jealous.

Ao smirked a bit, she knew what she was doing and she was loving it, "Sounds like trouble"Coco said shooting a glare at Toriko before looking down "Let's move"he said "We're all gonna have to drop down so hold on tight Ao"Toriko smirked, Ao nodded "Right"and tightened her grip around his neck a bit.

"Whatever you do, don't let go off me"Coco said to Komatsu "Okay"he said a little unsure as Coco let go of the rope and dropped down, Toriko soon followed, Ao held tightly onto him closing her eyes as they dropped and then they landed with no scratches.

Ao let go of Toriko and stood next to him "Thanks for the lift Toriko"she smiled and kissed his cheek, Toriko blushed and scratched his other cheek "N-no problem"he stuttered a bit making her giggle all the while Coco was glaring at them in jealousy.

Then a flock of Swallowtail Bats, mammalian beast capture level two, flew towards them, Coco stepped forward and shot poison at the bats, Ao punched the back of his head "You dummy they were fleeing from something!"she yelled at him.

In the commotion Komatsu had disappeared and Toriko and Coco went crazy looking for him, Ao just rolled her eyes the weakling had no place on this trip to begin with, but then a Devil Python attacked them
