Jimin's POV

~ Earlier that day ~

I flung open the front door to my house, closing it swiftly behind me before walking down the tight bare hallway.

"Jimin?" I heard a voice call out.

I headed towards the voice that came from the lounge area.

"Yeah, it's just me." I replied to a male who sat on the couch, peering up at me through his black reading glasses from a book he was reading.

"I thought you had work?" The male called before yawning as he put down his novel on the couch beside him.

"Yeah, I do have work, Kook." I hummed softly, calling the male his nickname as I walked across the lounge towards the kitchen.

"I just made a detour." I told the male while walking into the kitchen.

Within seconds the male appeared beside me in the kitchen, watching my eyes as they scanned over our busy fridge door.

"Ah, normally detours are not back to your own house." The male sassily replied before jumping up to sit on top of the kitchen bench behind him.

"Kook, you know I don't like you sitting up there. It's not sanitary." I grumbled as I looked over my shoulder at him.

"Just tell me what's going on Jimin-ah. You know darn well that you need to be open with me about everything, you're dainty and small so anything could happen to you." The male told me, a serious expression appearing on his face.

I turned to face the male before telling him what was going on.

"So I've told you about the guy I work for and such. This morning I went to the food truck he used to work at to surprise him with food that he used to bake," I began and the male nodded along.

"And the male I began talking to at the food cart happened to actually be Taehyung's old best friend but they don't seem to be in contact anymore," I went on and the man's eyes widened.

"However when the male found out that I work for Taehyung, he randomly asked me if Taehyung had hit on me, you know, flirted with me." I explained.

"Holy shit, so his best friend confirmed to you that the male is into guys?" Jungkook gasped out.

"I mean, basically. He said I was entirely his type too." I told Jungkook.

"No way! My bestie is finally going to get a boyfriend." Jungkook sang loudly.

Jungkook and I have been best friends since we first started school.

Nothing could keep us away from one another as we loved playing chess in the library each lunch time, occasionally forgetting to go back to class.

I could already feel my cheeks beginning to flush from Jungkook's comments.

"Shut up. He may not like me now though. His friend also could have been wrong," I explained making Jungkook pout.

"Anyways, the reason I came home is because Hoseok told me that Taehyung used to give out magnets that his dad got a bunch of free from working in the company," I began.

"And apparently Taehyung used to write his phone number with a Twink/Correction pen on the back of magnets when he was attracted to the customer, in hopes they would see it and call or text the number." I explained.

Jungkook's mouth fell open wide.

"So your future man is romantic, and potentially tried to get with you years ago?" Jungkook asked.

"Kind of. I believe I got a couple magnets when I used to eat from there. I think I threw most of them out but I think I kept one with a flower on it for when I moved in with you." I explained to Jungkook.

"No wonder you came into the kitchen." Jungkook commented as he jumped off the kitchen bench.

"Hey, maybe it's this one?" Jungkook hummed as he reached behind me to grab a magnet off the fridge.

~ End of flashback ~

Taehyung's POV

"Holy shit, I gave you that."

My mind was blown from seeing an item that I never thought I'd see ever again except from on my parents fridge down stairs.

"You recognise it?" Jimin chimed, still holding the magnet between his small dainty fingers.

"Definitely, I had a bunch of ones with beautiful flowers on." I explained.

"Yeah, Hoseok said you used to give them out because it was your dad's business or something like that. I couldn't even believe I still had it." I muttered.

"I can't believe you still have it either." I choked out with a laugh.

"Um, but there's one more thing." Jimin nervously chimed.

"What now? You are full of surprises today." I sighed while resting back in my chair as I just watched the male.

However my eyes switched from the male to peer back at the magnet as Jimin flipped it around, showing off the black back of the magnet, except for familiar numbers twinked onto the back.

I blinked a couple times now feeling nerves rising in my belly.

I gave my number to Jimin!? My caretaker!?

I don't even recognise him. I mean I knew he was attractive and it is super likely due to the fact Jimin was a medical student so he likely was able to leave the hospital and go to the park across the road to get a magnet with my number on it before I became ill.

But what are the odds?

He must have been just as attractive all those years ago for me to give out my number to him because I only gave my number out to a couple of customers.

I didn't even know what to say to Jimin because I am quite sure Hoseok would have told Jimin about it which gave Jimin a reason to go back home to find the magnet.

Therefore he likely would presume it was my way to pick up an attractive guy that I met. Basically meaning that the magnet has revealed my interest in Jimin.

"Fuck, so you mean to tell me that you were just as hot a year or two ago?" I gasped out after processing everything, gaining some confidence after the long period of silence between us.

Jimins eyebrows creased but a smile appeared on his lips as he shyly looked across to the kitchen.

"Apparently I was too you." Jimin responded back as he looked back over at me.

"I'm seriously in shock right now." I honestly told Jimin.

"I couldn't believe it when I flipped over the back of the magnet too." Jimin confessed.

"Would you have called if you saw the number on the back of the magnet?" I asked curiously.

Jimin softly laughed, "It probably depends on the stage of life that I was at when you gave me the magnet with your number on it. But if I remembered that you exactly gave it to me and if it was at a good time, I probably would've contacted you." Jimin admitted.

A bright smile appeared on my lips.

So Jimin does like me back? He wasn't just making dirty jokes or calling me hot to heighten my self esteem. He genuinely is interested in me.

I don't know how dumb I am becoming but I kind of want to be selfish and experience some love with Jimin.

I know there's a possibility that I could die, so how nice would it be to be infatuated with someone up until the last moment we have together.

It sounds like a perfect way to go out if I don't make it.

But would the true beauty in Jimin's soul be able to deal with the feelings I profess to him? Would he be able to cope and persevere with life after that kind of blow? I don't want to ruin the rest of his life because he cannot get over me, but I am beginning to dream of my own love story with the true beauty that's in front of me before the chance is lost.

Hehehehe, if you have read my other books then you'd know that I tend to use the triangle of Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook to stir up some drama. Drama ain't quite coming yet though haha. I hope you liked this chapter because you got some inside details about Jimin's life. Also basically Jimin and Taehyung are now out about the fact they are interested in each other which is cute!

What is your thoughts on Vmin love with Taehyung being ill?

I'd love to read any comments or thoughts you are thinking! Feel free to vote if you enjoyed the chapter too!

That's all until next chapter, take care my loveliessss... Byeeeee!
