Prologue: Good-bye Allison
The cold wind blended so well with the harsh rain that fell from the pitch black sky. It was finally over but the happy ending did not exist for anyone. Hearts broken as the white casket was slowly lowered into the wet ground, the family and friends of the lost Allison Argent gathered around her grave, weeping as they said good-bye to their friend, their sister, their daughter. Everyone from school was there, those she has grown so close with. Her family. The preacher softly speaks kind words, prayers. Words of comfort that some took to their hearts. Her friend, Lydia Martin stood huddled under an umbrella, sharing it with her friend Stiles Stilinski and his girlfriend, Malia Tate. Stiles held Malia close as she sobs into his chest. Stiles tried to be strong for Malia but you couldn't miss the wobbling of his bottom lip and the unshed tears in his eyes. Lydia sniffles and squeezes her eyes tight as another sob erupts from her red, puffy lips. Isaac Lahay sat in his chair, head down as he twirls a white rose in his fingers. His love was gone, he felt so empty inside. He didn't know what to do anymore. He was lost without her. He finally looks up, tears pooling in his eyes, mixing with the rain. He slowly gets up and makes his way to Allison's grave and looks down at the white casket. No words could be said. He holds up his rose above the grave and slowly let go of it and watches it as it makes it way to the top of the casket. Not sparing anyone a glance, he left. But you could possibly hear his heart breaking at every step. Next was Kira Yukimura, Allison's new friend and Scott's pack member. Kitsune, a Japanese trickster spirit that takes the form of a fox. That's what she is. She whispers in Japanese, 残りも、親愛なる姉妹. "Rest well, dear sister." And gently throws her white rose into the grave, landing gently next to Isaac's. She walks back over to her parents as they hug her while she cries in their arms. Lydia sniffles and licks her lips as she walks towards the edge of the grave. She gives the rose a small kiss and drops it slowly in, watching it drift next to Kira's. Sobbing, she walks back to Stiles and Malia. They both hug her tightly and cry with her. Malia lets go gently and takes her rose. She stands next to the grave, wiping her tears.
"You saved us, Allison. You saved us all. Thank you. We will miss you." Malia whispers.
She gently lets go of the rose and watches it land next to Lydia's. Malia walks back to her spot and takes the umbrella from Stiles as he goes and stands next to the grave. He sniffles and stares down at the grave. Guilt was eating him out. This was his fault; that what he thought.
"I'm so sorry, Allison. This is my fault. I should be the one being buried, not you. I'm so sorry." He chokes on his words.
He holds his rose over the grave and slowly let go. He watches it land with grace next to Malia's. He turns and sees Chris, Allison's father. Guilt fills Stiles' eyes, he couldn't speak. Chris walked up to him and gives him a reassuring pat on the back.
"It wasn't your fault." He speaks softly. Stiles wanted to argue with him but it wasn't the time or place. He just nods and walks back over to Malia as she gives him a tight hug.
Standing at the end of the grave, Scott McCall, Allison's first love since she's lived in Beacon Hills, watched his pack members say good-bye to her, watching them cry for her. He couldn't. He had to be strong for them. All of them. But, inside, he was breaking. All he could think was that night.
"It's perfect," she said. "I'm in the arms of my first love. The first person I've ever loved. The person I've always loved. I love you ... Scott McCall."
He held her so tightly, he wanted to heal her. But, why? Why wouldn't she let him? He never got over her, he loved her so much. She gave her life, to save theirs. Scott holds his rose close to him. He didn't even mind the thorns stabbing into his hand. He couldn't feel much of anything when he lost her. Feeling her warm body grow so cold in his arms. Her blood cooling on the ground. Sighing deeply, he finally holds his rose above the grave.
"Good-bye, Allison." He says softly.
He lets go of the rose and watches it fall gently right in the middle of the roses.
He remembers after watching them take the love of his life away from him. After he gave his statement to Sheriff Stilinski, he ran deep into the woods. He was full of anger, loss, grief. He transforms into his Alpha side and jumps on a boulder, looking up at the moon as his heart broke for the loss of her. He lets out a long, mournful howl....
Now, looking at everyone. His friends, his family, Allison's family. He had no words.
The preacher finished his prayer and bid everyone a safe journey home. But, Scott couldn't leave. Stiles watches his best friend, he didn't want to lose his friendship with Scott. His fear and guilt made him sick to his stomach. He swallows the bile and makes his way towards Scott. Scott looks up at Stiles, sadness and loss, completely broken. No words were shared between them, no words could. They seemed to understand each other. Stiles gives him a bro hug and Scott returns one. Stiles pat his back and help him walk to his jeep. Scott never wanted to move but he knew he had to. He had to live for Allison. He looks back one more time and watches the grave diggers bury his love.
