Truck-San Strikes Again! Chapter 8: The Adventurers guild.

   The girls were surprised by my actions but I had a reason to fall to the ground. After hours of walking and defeating lame goblins, I finally mad it to the first city in this fantasy world! And a large city with a forest full of monster is bound to have an adventurers' guild. I can't wait to start a legitimate fantasy adventure. Some people like to go to some fantasy school when they get reincarnated and others may live out their life as a high class noble but I'm in it for the adventure! Plus I may get information on where to attain some slime cores to make the capture crystals. I don't know why heaven game creator made slime cores such a easy to get though...

   "So... how many  guilds are in this city?"
"(........)"
"Still not gonna talk to me are you, if you still don't believe my abnormal passive skill, watch everyone's reaction around me."

    We got up to the gate where some knights were having everyone put their hands on the crystal ball and depending on the reaction, they would either let them through, turn then back, or even arrest them in one case. When the girls got up there, the ball lit up green for all of them. I, however, was noticed by the guards due to my [Hidden Presence]. So I just leisurely walked passed them as they went on to the next person. When I got close to them, I whispered,

"Do you believe me now?"
"(...........)"
   When I asked, I was met with silence and hostile stares. I sighed awkwardly and continued to walk around. I now knew where the adventurers guild was since my map was updated when I entered the town. I now had a detailed layout with the buildings and their functions. Heck, it even gave me the prices for food and room at inns and restaurants. It also gave a star rating from 1 being trashy and 5 being high class on each establishment. It was like the ultimate combo of yelp and a gps.

   As I was walking through the city, the three girls behind me seemed to disappear. Well what ever, I don't think the author of my life would give me friends like those so easily. (AN- lol, who would. And yes I will converse with my self). As I was walking to the guild, I came upon a street full of stalls. I wanted to buy something so bad, my mouth was watering due to all the food stalls I see. I quickly looked for a stall that would buy monster crystals and found one right off the bat. Once I sold a couple of them to the nice old guy who didn't try to cheat me, I immediately went to the food. If your wondering, I did not sell all the crystals, I still need capture crystals after all.

   I looked at all the stands and found a food stall that had something that looked like really red karaage on stir fried rice. I've always wanted to try karaage (AN-this is true, I have still yet to try it *sad face*) and even though this is a different world, the taste should be the same more or less. So I walked up to the karaage stall quickly and ordered a plate,

"Hello Sir, I would like to have some of that." I said as I pointed to the karaage he was cooking.
"Ah, my speciality, Sicín friochta." (AN- thank google senpai for this name, it's literally fried chicken in Irish. Completely random).
"Sure, that. How much?"
"A little eager are we? Just so you know, it is very spicy. Are you sure you want it?"
"I love spicy food so now I just want it even more now!"
"Alright then, that will be ten copper."

   I handed the man the money and the man continued to finish cooking the dish while happily muttering 'kids these days'. When he put the karaage in a wooden bowl, with stir fried rice in it as well, and handed it over to me. I started digging in. And as I am an avid reader of Japanese literature, I did not forget to say 'itadakumasu' before eating. The man even gave me chopsticks  to eat it with. If your wondering, I am very skilled with chopsticks. My eating skill and hunger combined with my skill with chopsticks, my first meal in my new world was gone in an instant. But I loved every bite of it.

"Thanks for the meal!"
"No problem come again!"
    Is what the man said to me as I walked away. Ahh, I will in fact come again since that is about in the top 10 best dishes I've ever had. After finishing eating, I continued to the guild with no more delays.

   When I got there, I couldn't say I wasn't surprised when I walked in. It was a large, spacious area that had the feel of a fancy hotel lobby. There was like a scene that looked like it came strait out of 'F**ry T**l' (AN-another one of my favorites even though I haven't watched a hole lot of it yet.). Although there wasn't anyone drinking barrels of alcohol or any midget guild masters, there was still a powerful girl warrior stopping a shirtless guy with an icicle spear from fighting another guy with a head a fire. Everyone treated this as normal and even betted on who would win. There was a couple differences though. First I didn't hear any 'ice-make' or 'dragon' something chants coming from the two that where fighting. Second, their appearance. The ice spear guy, although he was pale, he had frost blue hair and ice blue eyes. Also, he had pants on still. The fire guy on the other hand, had a bronze like skin color with completely red and orange hair, not pink. The warrior girl seemed to have the biggest difference. She had blond hair, blueish grey armor, green eyes, and a big red broad sword on her back. I looked around and their was only two other characters that looked similar to the ones from 'F**ry T**l'. And that was a girl who looked kinda like Lucy, but still way different, and the silver haired receptionist who looked similar to Natsu's childhood girlfriend who died in the show before it even began. (AN- sorry to all the fairy tail fans, I honestly could not remember her name. But you know who I'm talking about, the one that helped Natsu take care of Happy when Happy was still a egg).

I decided to ignore all of them since I can already tell what's most likely going to happen. When I got up to the reception desk, it's like she was staring through me. I swear my [Hidden Presence] is more like invisibility than just my presence not being detected. I sighed and tapped the desk lightly with my finger. The receptionist let out a short 'Eep!' when she noticed me.

"Oops sorry for scaring you, it's just that you didn't seem to notice me."
"Oh sorry, I guess I spaced out a little to much. I haven't seen you before, do you perhaps want to join the guild?.
"Yes, actually. What do I need to do?"

The girl smiled and brung out a blank, copper colored card, a set of documents, and a quill with an ink jar. Come to think of it, will I be able to even write the language of this world? Luckily it didn't seem she was gonna make me fill out the form for she picked up the quill herself.

"Ok, I need your name, your age, birth date, and what abilities you have."
"Do I have to say all of my abilities?"
"No, just one or two so we can advise you for certain jobs in the future."

Hmm, what to pick, what to pick. I guess I will say one active skills and two passive skills.

   "Ok. My name is Arthur. I'm 14. My birthdate is... Augestine 25. And I have a speed enhancement skill. I can use any magic and I'm also pretty proficient with most weapons. Although I can use most elements of magic, I have yet to learn any spells. I only know I have the affinities for a lot of the different elements."

   She recorded the information I told along with my appearance and what rank I will start out, which will be rank-F. Oh, the rank system is like any other fantasy game. From weakest to strongest rank it goes F->E->D->C->B->A->S->SS->SSS->H. And H stands for Hero. To reach that rank, two conditions must be met. One is that you can beat 3 SSS rank adventures in a fair 3v1 duel. And the other is that you must have a certain passive skill. But since there hasn't been a hero in centuries, no one knows what the skill is anymore. By the way, the fire guy, the ice guy, and the warrior girl are S-rank(fire and ice), and SSS-rank(warrior), respectively. But the reason the fire and ice guy aren't a higher rank is because the don't have enough achievements. That's the one fault about the guild system. You can be powerful enough to destroy a mountain but only be E-rank if you don't have enough achievements. In fact, there was only one anime that I ever saw that gave you your rank and class based upon your power level. Too bad I forgot the name of it. (AN- I don't remember the name, but it was an anime where the Otaku MC couldn't see what was coming down the road, it looked like a simi-truck but it was just a tractor and he died from freight. Then got reincarnated and choose to bring the goddess with him because she mocked etc. I saw my cousin watching and joined in for the first episode, the rest of what I'm about it comes from my cousin telling me).

   After she had all the information down, she then but the copper card out and placed it in the papers. She chanted some short spell and all the information was magically engraved onto the card.

   "Alright. Here is your card. Whenever you want to enter the city, you can use this to get in. Also you need this in order to sell monster materials to the guild and it's also used to accept a quest. If you have any questions, just let me know!"
"I will, thank you."

   I continued to ignore the 'F**ry T**l' like characters and was about to walk out when a cold hand grabbed me from behind. It was the ice guy.

   "Hello there newbie, when did you get  here I certainly didn't notice you walk in. You even by passed Alexia's detection ability. May I ask how you did so."

   So the warrior girl had an ability like that, well I believe I may be in a bit of trouble.

Author's note- lol, I had to use fairy tail characters. Don't worry they are just gonna be side characters that Arthur fights with a little here and there. Also, everything I write is significant, you just don't know it yet. Anything I write in detail will be in the story later on. Lastly, how did you guys like the slightly longer chapter. My goal is to have a 3000 word chapter sometime in the future. The next chapter will be out tomorrow!
