Truck-San Strikes Again! Chapter 25: Love and a Journey?

"Whawhawhawhawha, What do you mean I'm engaged to the princess?!?!?" (Arthur)
"Just as I said, I mean, I can't let my daughter travel around with a man by her self right? It's like this, your the only guy in your party, and she doesn't want any knights following her around. How do you think it looks when a king willingly gives her daughter to a man by her self?" (King Charles)
".......like I'm taking her as a wife..." (Arthur)

Think about it, Guy has great power, guy fights for the princess, guy is given the princess to protect with consent of the king. It definitely looks like we are a couple. (AN: I'm not sure how to put this but, you guys get the gist of it, right?).

"Then it's settled! Officially, you are engaged to my daughter and this adventure she wants to go on will be disguised as her going home with you. Her companions are coming as servants, and the girl over there is your personally maid! That way, no noble bothers you about being with the princess." (King Charles)

I mean, it sounded sound. But....but..... I can't just be engaged to some one I don't necessarily love.....Ahh, the troubles of the main character. And now I understand why Elli is so red. But why Alyssa? In any case, I should probably clear something up first.

"Sigh~, its only on paper right? We don't actually have to get married right?" (Arthur)
"Hmmm, what do you mean?" (King Charles)
"I mean, where I come from, political marriages happen but not often. Usually a marriage unless too people lo..love each other. So the question is, isn't it a little soon to be completely married." (Arthur)

The cheese, is pouring out of my mouth. (AN: 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀). Why does thIS sOUND SO CLICHE?!???!?!? I really hate my self for saying those lines. (AN: it gets worse....for me at least).

"Oho, weird man aren't you, even when offered a beautiful flower, you don't take it immediately, do you perhaps not like the princess?" (King Charles)
"It's not exactly that but....well what does she think about it?" (Arthur)
'I can't say I put her in the friend zone! It's just automatic, never even had a girlfriend before!' (Arthur, thinking)
'Hmm, this boy is quite innocent, isn't he?' (King Charles, thinking)

"How about we see what my daughter thinks? That's sound grand." (King Charles)

We all looked towards Elli, who was fidgeting a lot. She looked like she just couldn't stand the embarrassment. Heck if someone told you that you have to get married to a friend of yours suddenly, you would be embarrassed too.

"I.i..I thi..I think that..." (Elli)
'Fight on! I'm barely hanging in there too!' (Arthur, thinking)
"I think that....we could use the journey to....get closer to each other...." (Elli)

What? If I was drinking something, I would've spit it out already. She....wants to get close....What?!?!?! Am I dense? No wait, dense people don't ask if they're dense, I must be fine. Only friends...only friends.....

"Ok then! Officially, you two are engaged. Unofficially you are a........couple!" (King Charles)
""THATS NOT WHAT WE MEANT!!!"" (Arthur and Elli)

This king.....is going to make me blow a fuse....from embarrassment.

The sun rose on the second day after it was decided I am officially engaged unofficially coupled/friends with Elli and it was time to leave. I've been in this city for too long. I want to explore (AN: you want to know a fun fact? The word 'explore' that I typed just then, was the 666th word in this chapter) the world! I want to see other races, mystical beings, and high tier magics! This is a fantasy world, I want to live it!!!!

So these past two days I've been packing up my stuff. Wait...since when did I get stuff? Oh right, I'm just sorting through my item box while lazing around, procrastinating saying goodbye.

I started with the Blacksmith first, although we are not really friends, he was a good man and his armor helps a lot. There wasn't much to talk about but he still gave me a dagger while saying "Just in case..".

Next was Karmen, but he was still in a slightly depressed mood. He gave me some gifts too, a free meal and a recipe book, of course no secret recipes.

Last was to say good bye to Lilly but...

"Noooo! Arthur I'm coming with you! I finally got you to call em Nee-san too!" (Lilly)

.....she wouldn't let me go.

"Ahk! Let go! I'm gonna be late for the carriage!" (Arthur)
"Noooo! Nononononono! I'm not letting go!" (Lilly)
"I need to journey around the world! I can't stay here forever!" (Arthur)
"Then take me with youuuu!!! Don't leave meeee!!!" (Lilly)

Just what is this destructive force called Lilly? Why won she just. Let. Go!

"Don't you have to take care of the Inn?" (Arthur)
"No~ someone else can! My dad can find someone else!" (Lilly)
"Don't you.." (Arthur)
"I'm fine as long as I'm next to you~!" (Lilly)
"But what about..." (Arthur)
"No need to worry, let co~me with you~!" (Lilly)

As I was trying to release my self of Lilly, the Royal trio came in.

"Arthurrrrrr! What's taking you so long!" (Elli)
"Ah you three! Will you tell this girl she can't come with!" (Arthur)
"I guess, but how is she related to you." (Elli)
"She is the waitress here that started treating me like a brother when I first came here. She even makes me call her Nee-san." (Arthur)
"Well it's because Arthur-Kun looked so lonely~. Now let me come!" (Lilly)

Eh?!?!? Now I have a '-kun' attached to my name?!?!? I tried harder to get rid of her. The Royal trio didn't know what to do, looking slightly flustered. But someone decided it for us.

"It's fine isn't it? I mean, Lilly is a brawler, we could use a strong person when fighting." (Sophiana)
"But wait..." (Arthur)
"I guess it's fine if you put it that way...." (Elli)
"Guys, but..." (Arthur)
"It would be easier to travel with more people.." (Caroline)
"But she..." (Arthur)
"She could guard me in battles..." (Alyssa)
"But..." (Arthur)
"See? Unanimous. Just give up Arthur-kun..." (Sophiana)

The all looked at me, saying yes with their eyes. Lilly had puppy eyes as well. AHHHH, 5V1 isn't fair!!!!

"Fine! She can come with, not let's go!" (Arthur)
"Yay, thank you Arthur!" (Lilly)

And so it was time to go on our adventure.

[POV:????]

A little girl runs through empty halls, here foot steps echoing off the walls. Empty, except for her, she continued to run. At times she would laugh, giggle, and play with something invisible. A faint blue light is her only source for vision. But other than the blue hair and how the girl played by her self, the only thing separating her from other girls is her eyes. The shimmered with a faint gold light glowing in the pupil. But the girl didn't know what was normal and what wasn't, there wasn't anyone to compare her self to.

Throughout her days, she continued to laugh and play and smile and talk as if others were around her, playing, laughing, and talking to her as well. Sometimes she would spend hours having a conversation with empty space, sometimes they were arguments.

Then one day, a day that reeked of death and new life, the golden glow faded from her eyes,

"Where did everyone go?"
