CH 9. Nurse's Office

The blood was dripping down my chin.

I was going to have to re-do my make-up and spend ages doing back to what it was this morning. I didn't want to. I shouldn't have to. But here we go again, being targeted, with words, or things, by peers in my classes.

My emotions are all over the place. Thankfully, people aren't in the hallway, because it would've been even more embarrassing.

I don't even think the right punishment would be used for that bully.

"I don't want to do the bet anymore, not if its like this," I said, being completely honest with Horan. "You might have to pick someone else."

I use my hand to stop the blood from going on my uniform.

Horan was careful with his words. "I didn't know they'd be like this."

I didn't believe any of his words. To me, it just comes of, as playing it safe and keeping the peace.

School was just getting to a breaking point meaning I can't handle the rest of the year. It was as if no one wanted me to have one positive moment here.

"Ah, Pheobe again?" said the Nurse.

Niall was stunned. "This isn't the first time?"

"No, there's been many times before this."

The Nurse never gave her name. My guess was that she didn't want people searching her image online. So, it was something, that I didn't pry upon when in her Office.

Just like every time before this one, I sat down on the small, blue bed, which was placed against the wall. It was uncomfortable with the protective wrap that was placed on top of it. It runs along the length of the bed to make sure germs don't spread, but you know this.

My blood was creating a little pool in the palm of my hands making me want to gag. Blood was not something I was okay with. I have fainted a lot of times just because I saw the crimson liquid.

Surprisingly, this was a first, where I haven't fainted straight away, and I was glad that I hadn't.

I was going to keep strong during this.

"Here's some tissue dear, keep your head up, so it doesn't drip on your uniform," instructs the Nurse, as she passes the tissues to me, and uses her hand to tilt my head for me.

When my head was moved, it made me hiss, because a pain shot through my nose. I couldn't handle it. More tears rolled down my cheeks, as I tried to push through the unbearable pain. I just want this to be over and done with but that wasn't possible.

"Are you able to write a statement?"

I create a thumbs up and turn it downwards trying to use my body to talk.

"Well, you can stay here, for as long as you want, and I'll try to make an excuse as to why you're not in lessons. I'm sorry Mr. Horan but you'll have to go back."

Thank god that I'm alone at last.
