If you didn't read my authors note then Elliot is a girl!

"RUN!" I yelled, as I sprinted away with Felix, we ran down the Hogwarts express as Theo chased us, "Sorry!" I shouted back at him, but that had no effect as he was still chasing after us.

"Quickly in here!" Felix whispered, pulling me into a compartment. We turned around and sat down with our backs to the frosted glass door of the compartment.

Then I noticed the four boys that were sat there in stunned silence.

"Hello." Felix and I said in sync, we look at each other and laughed, "We've gotta stop doing that." I muttered, shaking my head and chuckling.

Then we heard Theo stomping towards us, I looked at the boys. Once had long black hair and brown eyes. Another had light brown hair with brown eyes, he was quite tall for his age and had scares covering his face. There was a small blonde haired boy and sitting next to him was a black haired boy with square rimmed glasses and brown eyes.

Once I had stopped studying them I put my finger to my lips and pointed out the door. All four of the boys eyes looked up to the part of the door that was not frosted. 

"Where the hell are those twins?!" I heard Theo's voice almost scream as he slowly passed the compartment door. 

All of us waited with baited breath as Theo's shadow crossed the door. Once we was out of ear shot I sighed in relief.

"Awfully sorry about that, we're in a tad bit of trouble." I explained, standing up and looking around at the boys.

"A bit?!" Felix scoffed, I rolled my eyes, "Whatever, it was your fault." I mumbled the last part, but before he could reply I interjected.

"Right well, must be off. Again I'm awfully sorry about barging in like that." I said, clapping my hands together and walked out of the compartment with out another word to the boys.

Felix and I slowly walked down the train in search of an empty compartment, luckily we found one.

"Did you those boys faces?" I asked, chuckling as I sat opposite Felix, who laughed, "Yea, they look so scared! That small blonde one looked like he was about crap himself." Felix exclaimed.

I laughed, "Yea, he will be fun to prank." Felix laughed, and pulled out a chocolate frog from his back pack.

"We'll be the best prankers this school has ever seen!" He exclaimed, I laughed. 

We heard a rattling coming from out side the compartment, then an old woman opened the door to the compartment, "Anything off the trolly dears?" She asked.

"Yea, I'll have some fizzing wizz bees and some drooble's gum. Felix do you want anything, it's on me?" I asked, standing up and pulling out some money from my pocket.

"Sure, ummm, can I have a cauldron cake and a chocolate frog. How'd you get the money?" He answered, I paid for the sweets and sat down.

"I won that bet with Charlie." I answered, passing him his sweets and opening my own.

While we were eating sweets we joked around, "Do you want to play exploding snap?" He asked, I nodded, getting out my cards.

We were about half way through our second game when someone nocked on our compartment door and entered.

"Hello, I'm the new head boy." He said, he had dark brown hair and a slightly turned up nose. I looked over at Felix slightly confused, "Okay?" I said, still confused by his arrival.

"I just came to tell you that we will arriving at Hogwarts soon and I would advice you change into your school robes." He sniffed, I raised an eyebrow.

"Right, okay. Anyway I didn't quite catch your name." I smiled up at him, he narrowed his eyes, "My name is Steve Gilbert." He spoke, I nodded.

"I'm Elliot Blackwood, this is Felix Blackwood." I said, gesturing to myself and Felix, who had half a chocolate frog hanging out of his mouth.

Steve's eye widened slightly, "Blackwood?" He asked, I furrowed my eyebrows and nodded, Steve nodded, "Well, I have to go and talk to the other students." He said and left, nose held high in the air.

I looked over at Felix, he had his eyebrows raised, "What was that about?" I asked, Felix shrugged, "I don't know but I think we found our first prank victim." He replied.

"Sniffy Steve." I mumbled, Felixs chuckled.

"Stuck up Steve." He added, I laughed.

"I think that we are getting close to Hogwarts, best go change." I sighed, standing up. 

Just then a voice boomed through out the train, "We will be arriving at Hogwarts in ten minutes time. Leave your luggage on the train it will be brought up to the castle separately."

"Well, that settles it. I'll be back in a sec." I said and walked out of the compartment to change in the toilets.   

I walked down the train towards the toilets where I walked into the girls toilet and into a cubical. I pulled out my Hogwarts robes and put them on, instead of having a house crest they had the Hogwarts school crest. 

I walked back to my compartment to find Felix already changed, "Did you  get changed in the compartment?" I asked, he nodded.

I got my wand out of my bag and put in in my pocket. 

Just as I was about to sit back down again the train stopped, Felix and I got off of the train and onto the platform where we were met by a huge man.

"First years! First years over here!" He boomed, we walked over to the growing crowed of first years. 

Once a couple of other nervous looking kids joined the giant boomed again, "Is that all of you? Alright lets go." 

As we walked down the path that had thick trees either side of us the giant spoke once again, "I'm Rubeus Hagrid by the way. Keeper of the grounds at Hogwarts." 

We walked around the corner and saw the castle. To say the least, it was magnificent, there were so many turrets and towers, a forest at its base, many windows with light pouring out, a huge lake that was in front of us and a smaller tower on a hill.

When we got to the shore we could see a group of little boats, "Four to a boat." Hagrid called to us.

Felix and I got into a boat with a girl who had bright red hair and bright green eyes and a boy with greasy black hair and brown eyes that looked almost black.

I didn't talk to either of the them but the girl was whispering excitedly to the boy who was smiling slightly at her.

Soon we arrived at the boat house where we got out of the boats and walked up to the front doors of the castle. 

Hagrid nocked on the castle doors, a lady with black hair and green robes opened the doors, "The first years professor Mcgonagall." Hagrid said, the woman nodded.

"Thank you Hagrid, I will take them from here." Professor Mcgonagall replied.

We followed professor Mcgonagall through a huge entrance hall and stopped in front of a pair of double doors.

"Welcome to Hogwarts. Once you walk through these doors you will be sorted into you houses. The four houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Wait here quietly." And with that professor Mcgonagall walked through the double doors.

As soon as the doors closed everyone started talking. I looked around the hall and saw a small red haired girl who looked rather faint, "Are you alright?" I asked, the girl nodded franticly then scuttled off.

"Which house do you recon we'll get?" Felix asked, I turned to face him, "Not sure but if we're not in the same house I will really angry." I answered, my eyebrows furrowing. 

"Please, like a hat could split us up." Felix said, causing us both to laugh. 

"Who do you recon will be in Slytherin?" I asked, Felix stood on his toes to get a better look at everyone, "Him." He finally answered, pointing at a boy with bleach blonde hair.

"Really why?" I asked, staring at the boy.

"Because he just looks it." Felix shrugged.

Just as I was about to say something else, professor Mcgonagall walked back through the doors, "We're ready for you know, follow me."

We walked into the great hall, there were four long tables and one at the head of the hall where the teachers sat.

At the front of the hall there was a rickety old stool with a beaten up hat sat upon it. Professor Mcgonagall pulled out a scroll and started to read names of students off it. 

About ten kids had been sorted but then when professor Mcgonagall called out, "Black Sirius." One of the boys from the compartment walked up to the stool and got sorted into Gryffindor.

"Blackwood Elliot." Professor Mcgonagall.

I walked up to the stool and sat down, pulling the hat down over my eyes. Then a voice spoke in my ear.

"Another Blackwood. There seem to be a lot of you. You have a lot of the same traits that your siblings have, you would be very good in Slytherin with your older brother but I an see potential for you in a different house. I think....GRYFFINDOR!" The hat shouted the last word.

I took of the hat grinning widely, I saw Felix smiling at me from the crowd of first years. As I walked over the Gryffindor table I saw my other older brothers cheering loudly. I took a seat near the boy called Sirius Black.

Next was Felix, we walked up to the stool and place the hat on his head. 

"GRYFFINDOR!" The hat shouted, I sighed in relief. Felix came and sat opposite me, we high fived, "Thank god." Felix said.

As the sorting continued I noticed a couple of people.

The greasy haired boy from the boat got sorted into Slytherin along the the blonde boy from the entrance hall. The red haired girl from the boat and the other one who looked faint both got sorted into Gryffindor. 

Then I noticed the boys from the compartment, the first one was the scared boy named Remus Lupin, the second was the small blonde boy called Peter Pettigrew and that last one was called James Potter. All three of them got sorted into Gryffindor.

Once everyone was sorted Professor Dumbledore stood up, "Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts. A small reminder to the older students and the new first years, the forbidden forest is out of bounds to all of you." Dumbledore had a mischievous twinkle in his eyes as he said this.

"I hope you all have a good year, now lets eat." Dubledore finished.

Once he said that the tables magically filled with food, everything I could have wanted. I filled my plate with almost everything and began to eat.

Felix and I got talking to a couple of people, a girl called Alice Prewett and Frank Longbottom. 

"Hey did you know that Sniffy Steve is a Hufflepuff!" I exclaimed, Felix almost choked on the bit of beef that he was eating, "Really?" He asked shocked.

I nodded, "Yea, look." I pointed over the the Hufflepuff table where we could see Steve sat with a group of other boys and a couple of girls, all looked rather stuck up and were all talking without smiling.

"Wow, they look like a lot of fun." Felix said sarcastically, I laughed and continued to eat.

Once the feast was over the prefect from Gryffindor took us up to Gryffindor tower. We walked up the marble stairs, the walls were lined with huge portraits and pictures. 

"Welcome to Hogwarts." One painting said to me, I smiled. 

We arrived at a portrait of a fat lady, "Password?" She asked the prefect.

"Goose wing." He answered and the portrait swung forward showing a hole in the wall. We all clambered in, I looked around at the room I was standing in. There where sofas everywhere and squashy armchairs with a fire burning away and a couple of tables by the windows.

"Boys dorms upstairs on your left, girls the same of your right. Good night." The prefect said as he walked up to his own dorm. 

"Okay, well Good night. I'll see you in the morning." I said, looking over at Felix. 

"Yea, meet down here for breakfast." He answered smiling, I nodded and hugged him good night.

I walked up to my dorm, when I entered I saw three girls, "Hello! I'm Lily Evans! I saw you on the boat." She exclaimed, rushing forward and shaking my hand, I laughed.

"Someones excited." I smiled, everyone laughed, "Well this is all so new to me. I'm a muggle born you see." She said quickly.

"Okay, I'm Elliot Blackwood." I said, waving to the other girls. One of whom I recognised as Alice Prewett. 

"Hello Alice." I said, waving, she smiled and waved back, "Hello Elliot, nice to see you again." She answered, chuckling.

"I'm Molly Prewett, Alice is my cousin." Molly smiled, I nodded and smiled back, "I see." 

I walked over to my bed and plopped down, "I'm so excited for tomorrow!" Lily exclaimed excitedly. I laughed, "Why? We've got lessons!" 

"Because we will be learning MAGIC!" She emphasised on the word magic, everyone laughed.

I changed into my pyjamas and crawled into bed, I was really tired from the long journey, "Well night everyone." I yawned.

"Night." Alice's sleepy voice came from my left.

"Good night." Molly whispered from the right.

"Nighty night." Lily excitedly whispered, everyone laughed and dozed off to sleep.
