-=Chapter 5=-

"Ugh," you cursed yourself as you tried to distract yourself with a book you've been trying to finish for ages. It was a troll book and it involved a lot of mumbo jumbo about quadrants. The more you read, the more frustrated you got. How do trolls do all of this? It's so confusing.

'Maybe I should pester one of the trolls, but talking about quadrants seems to be a subject they aren't too fond of talking about. I suppose asking ED wont kill me.'

-- chumHandle [CH] began pestering caligulasAquarium [CA] --

[CH]: Hey dude.

[CA]: Wwhat do you wwant?

[CH]: Sheesh, grumpy as always.

[CH]: I'm reading one of your hella confusing troll romance books again, and I still don't understand quadrants.

[CA]: Wwhy are you askin me?

[CH]: You are literally the only troll I have added on here.

[CH]: I'm pretty convinced John, Dave, Rose and Jade have no idea, so I can't ask them.

[CA]: Fine ask awway.

[CA]: But you owwe me one.

[CH]: How the hell does a kismesis work?

--chumHandle [CH] ceased pestering caligulasAquarium [CA] --

This is exactly what you meant. They just don't like talking about quadrants. You threw the book angrily into a corner and tried to find something else to do. The closest thing you had to entertainment, was lying on the window seat you installed - after you realised you really loved the one at the Ampora house - and trying to find some way to get comfortable lying down on it.

Just as you had achieved your goal and pulled out your phone to watch some random YouTube videos, you heard a knock on the window beside you. You expected it to be some sort of bird pecking at the window or something, but when you saw an Ampora chilling in a tree, you were scared pretty easily. You felt yourself jump and fall off of your window seat and onto the ground beside it.

After you regained your composure, you clicked the lock on your window and pushed it open, watching as a smirking Cronus slid through your window, smirk only faltering when you administered a slap to his arm, to which he mocked pain and offence. "Ouch, Vwhy'd you do that?"

"You were outside of my window in a tree," you shoved your phone back into your jeans pocket. "I can't possibly know how long you've been there for. Not to mention I don't know why you're here, what were you doing in my tree?"

"Just seein if you vwere home."

  "And what if I wasn't?"

"Hah, you got me," Cronus laughed. "Honestly though, Eridan vwas bein a baby and told me to come explain quadrants to you because you vwere 'annoyin' him about them."

"Oh, that explains why he so abruptly left when I brought it up," you thought back to when you had pestered the troll earlier.

"Hah, It's no surprise, his quadrants are emptier than mine, and that says a lot," Cronus sat on your window seat, patting the spot beside him. "But hey, your probably more interested in quadrants in general, not in mine."

You laughed. Eridan's only filled quadrant was his pale quadrant, you knew plenty about moirailegence, but nothing about any of the other ones. You found yourself tempted to say you did want to know about Cronus' quadrants however.

"Yeah," you sat beside Cronus. "So uh, before I ask, you promise not to leave as quickly as Eridan did?"

"No promises, you bring up any talk about buckets and I'm out."

"Alright then, but weren't you the one who made a joke about that?" You looked down at the ground and flushed with color when you realized what you were about to ask. "Cronus, how does a kismesis work?"

Cronus laughed so hard you could've sworn it sounded like he was having some kind of strange coughing fit. He wiped the fake tears from the corners of his eyes. "Vwow, that question already," he smirked at you. "I'd be happy to shovw you hovw they vwork, but I doubt you'd vwanna be a part of that kind of relationship."

"Oh?" Your interest was peaked, you moved so that your legs were facing Cronus. You let your head rest on the side of your window. Trying not to freak out while your-what trolls would call-'flush crush' is sitting right beside you.

"A kismesis is hate lowve," Cronus made a face, he looked so concentrated on trying to explain this to you. You could feel your face flushing red, a feeling you were familiar with now. "Both sides hate and lowve eachother, It's kinda hard to explain."

 "What about hatesnogging?"

Cronus snorted, trying to remain mature. "That's like a real passionate make out session after some huge fight or somethin," Cronus smiled at you.

 "Oh."

"Does that make at least a little more sense to ya novw kitten?"

You blushed yet again, trying to hide it a little by turning your face to look out the window. Unfortunately, the light hit your face in a way that only made it more visible to Cronus. You could hear him snickering beside you. You nodded your head before getting up from where you were sitting and picking up the book you had been reading. Now that you understood more, you were going to attempt to read it again.

"Thanks Cronus," you sighed and sat back down on your window seat, book in hand now. "You can go whenever you want to."

You were expecting him to leave now, Cronus however seemed to have other plans. "I think I'm good," he moved so that he was practically pushing you against the window frame. He pretended to be attempting to read your book over your shoulder as an excuse to get closer to you. "If you said I can leave vwhenewver I vwant to, I might just never leawve."

You could feel the blush on your cheeks get more intense. You sighed and closed your book, facing Cronus and giving him a disapproving look only to receive more laughter, so you whacked him over the head with your book and crossed your arms over your chest.

 "Thats exactly vwhat I thought."
