-=Chapter 2=-
As soon as the offending lips moved away from your ear and the chills that had been multiplying stopped in their tracks, you stood up from where you were sitting to meet the eyes of Eridan's older brother. Cronus could now get a good look at you, and he definitely took that opportunity, eyes tracing your legs that made skinny jeans look like clothing of the gods, searching for your curves and wondering what they'd look like if you weren't wearing that loose hoodie, before his eyes met yours and he found himself trying to memorise their colour.
"The name's Cronus." He reached out for your hand, taking your right hand and lifting it towards his face. He kissed the soft back of your hand, maintaining eye contact the entire time. You could feel his lips pressing against your skin. They were surprisingly warm. He let go of your hand a moment later. For a minute the two of you just stood and stared. The silence went on for a moment before Cronus' chuckle broke it.
"Oh, sorry," you mumbled, clearly embarrassed at the sudden zone out. "I'm (Y/N)."
"Nice to meet ya," he smirked, "vwhat brings ya to tha Ampora house?"
"Actually, I'm a friend of Eridan's."
"So your the moirail he nevwer shuts up about?" You watched as Cronus' eyes roamed your body again. "He vwas right, you're smokin."
Your blush was pretty hard to hide now. You crossed your arms, annoyed with the amount of times this guy has hit on you already. You consider telling him off for it and teaching him a lesson, but you'll have to admit as annoying as it was, you didn't mind it.
There was no denying Cronus was attractive in some way and even though you've just met him, you aren't blind. The quality was actually quite endearing - how much he persevered already.
Cronus laughed at the colour still decorating your cheeks. He turned his head and looked down at the ground for a moment. Because of the action, you could see his fins, they were pretty much exactly the same as Eridan and Dualscar's. You assumed it ran in the family. You could also see gills. You never really saw Eridan or Dualscar's gills, but that was probably because Eridan hid his gills most of the time and you were never really close enough to see Dualscar's.
That made you realise, Cronus had got closer. He was now looking down at you. You suddenly felt short compared to him now. Cronus continued to talk to you for a good hour. He flirted with you subtly every once and a while, attempting to earn a smile from you. He'd seen it a few times now, and he wanted to see more of it.
As the night got later and later, you glanced out the window and watched the dark setting in. It's far too cold and dangerous to go out there now and to be honest, you didn't really want to deal with walking through dark streets and chancing getting kidnapped tonight. You drop a text to your parents and ask Dualscar if he's okay with you staying and he seems perfectly fine with it. Your parents were pretty chill and they knew Eridan pretty well. They trusted you, and since it was already pretty late, you decided you would just stay over at the Ampora house. But there was only one problem. You didn't have any good clothes. You certainly didn't plan on sleeping in what you were wearing. Cronus noticed you staring at the floor, obviously lost in thought.
"Vwhats on your mind?"
"It's pretty late and Dualscar said I can stay here for the night," you made a tsk noise with your tongue. "But I don't have any clothes to sleep in."
"You could always wear some of mine? I'vwe probably got a shirt you can borrovw."
"Oh, thanks Cro," you smiled. You'd thought of the nickname when you were talking earlier and it stuck like glue. He seemed pretty happy hearing you use it as well, it gave him more of an excuse to continue with the name calling, and by that I mean the pet names that replace your name in any and all sentences. You might as well have changed your name to doll face by now.
He brought a shirt down to you moments later after disappearing upstairs. It was some kind of Alternian band shirt as far as you knew - black except for the graffiti design on the front. It was actually a pretty cool shirt and if you knew Cronus better you would probably steal it when you leave. You smiled thankfully at Cronus as he winked and slid away to annoy his brother while you changed in the bathroom.
You stood in front of the sink, pulling your shirt over your head, replacing it with the one Cronus had let you borrow. You chanced a glance in the mirror and it was so big on you that it was falling off of your shoulders. Cronus was tall - for sure - but you never thought - although you won't admit that you have thought - that his clothes would be so loose on you.
You decided wearing just the shirt would be fine, staring at the way it fell off of one shoulder, hoping it'd stay up so you don't accidentally flash either your best friend or his brother.
"Oh hey Cro," Cronus was standing outside of the bathroom and you'd assume he had been for the entire time you've been in there, though his eyes only lifted when he heard the creak of the bathroom door. He eyed you curiously and you couldn't help but feel self conscious as his eyes trailed your legs and a smirk etched across his face.
You crossed your arms over your chest and grimaced as the shoulder of the shirt fell and began to slide down your arm. It was problematic to say the least and as you pulled the sleeve back up discretely, Eridan walked up the stairs, refusing to spare Cronus a glance and instead looking you up and down and staring at his brother, then back at you.
"Are you staying ovwer?" Eridan stood beside his older brother, sparing glares at him and attempting not to draw your attention to it.
"Yeah."
"Wwell, maybe wwe can finally finish the Harry Potter movie marathon tonight."
You rolled your eyes. Eridan had been trying to get you to watch it with him since first semester this year. He really just watches them to argue with the logic behind it and it makes you want to gouge your eyes out. Yes, you would do anything for Eridan Ampora because he is your best friend and that will never change, but you'll admit that his ranting about white science is the most annoying thing that you've ever put yourself through.
You consider saying no, consider playing the 'I'm too tired we should finish it another time,' card and disappearing into the guest room before he could whine about it, but you couldn't do that to him. He's wanted to bring you over to his since forever but he just wasn't sure how his family would act around you, he was afraid he'd loose the only real friend he has because of them and how much they would bother you or maybe their culture would be a bit much or maybe they'd get into some argument and then you'd feel uncomfortable and leave before he or anyone could apologise.
He silences his nerves and his discomfort and you try to smile, nodding at him and watching as a sincere smile crosses his face. Cronus shifts, scheming and deciding that he could put up with his brother ranting for a while if you were there too.
He knew the reputation he had and he was surprised you didn't know about it too. He'd chase after girls like a lost puppy but he'd never met someone as interesting as you. You made him feel as if the game was over and he needed to keep that. It's stupid to say but maybe there is such a thing as love at first sight. So with that in mind, he says: "Mind if I join you?"
