⇢ Chapter 35.

After waking up, Shota had his surgery to remove the bullet near his spine. It went as well as the doctors hoped for. Shota can walk but has limited mobility on his left side. He will have to use a cane to walk and can't really use his left hand as much, but it's fine since he is right handed. After two months of rehab, the doctors cleared Shota to go home.

"Ready to be free, Mr. Aizawa?'' The nurse asked Shota.

"Yes! I'm so happy to finally be home with my family. Thank you so much for all your help, Nurse Tanaka.'' Shota says with a smile.

"How many times have I said to call me Shimizu?'' Nurse Shimizu said with a smile.

"I'll call you Shimizu when you call me Shota," Shota says with a small laugh.

"Is my husband bothering you, Shimizu?" Hizashi asks, standing by the door.

"He is stubborn as always. Make sure he takes care of his wounds since they are still healing." Shimizu says as she finishes up cleaning wounds.

"I'll be the best nurse ever, of course, you're still number 1." Hizashi says with a smile.

"Shimizu how much do you want to be my nurse? This dumbass is gonna kill me with his clumsy ass." Shota says making it sounds so dramatic. Hizashi just stands there, pretending to be hurt as Shimizu just laughs at the scene.

"I'm gonna miss this. You take care, Shota, you too, Hizashi." Shimizu says as she walks out the room.

"Ready to go home my sweet husband?" Hizashi asks as he helps Shota get up.

"Yes, get me out of here," Shota says with a smile. As Shota and Hizashi walked out the room, Shota was surprised to see Eri and Hitoshi waiting for them. "Um, why aren't you in school?" Shota questioned.

"Well, we didn't want to go, so we didn't go." Eri says with a cute smile. Shota just sighs knowing damn well Hizashi allowed them to stay home. "Let's go home, daddy," Eri says, pushing Hizashi out the way to hold Shota's hand.

"Hey, that's my spot," Hizashi whines. Eri just sticks out her tongue at Hizashi and holds Shota hand tighter.

"Take good care of him, Eri," Doctor Suga said as they passed the nurses station. Eri smiles and gives a thumbs up. Shota and Hizashi thanked both Doctor Suga and Dachi before leaving. "I'm gonna miss her." Suga says to Dachi.

"Well, we can always adopt," Dachi says as he lightly bumps Suga shoulder with his. Suga smiled and gave Dachi a kiss on the cheek.

"That would be nice but we already have one," Suga says as he starts walking away.

"Shoyo could always use a sibling," Dachi says, trying to convince Suga. Suga just laughs knowing full well that they will adopt another child. He hopes that they can get one as sweet as Eri.

"Hey, Dad, where are we going?" Hitoshi asked.

"Viper," Shota said in a quiet voice.

"Viper? Isn't that the club Touya worked at?" Hizashi questioned.

While Shota was in the hospital, Keigo visited him and they talked for a bit before Keigo told him he was leaving. It was too hard for him to stay since losing Touya. He gives Shota a letter asking him to visit the club. Almost like a last wish from Touya.

"Yeah, there's something he wants her to have," Shota whispers to Hizashi as he looks over to Eri.

They arrived at the club and standing by the bar were Kurogiri, Toga and Jin. "Oh, Kitty is here. Shaggy Kitty is here!" Toga yelled excitedly.

"Keigo said to come," Shota showed Kurogiri the letter.

"I know, we've been waiting," Kurogiri said nonchalantly. Shota looked at Kurogiri, he felt like he knew him. He had seen him a few times before but it was always a quick meeting, this is the first time Shota really got a good look at him.

"Dad, you're staring," Hitoshi says in a whisper.

"Sorry it's just that I think I know him," Shota says confusedly. At that time, Tomura walks out with a box.

"Touya left this for the kitty," Tomura said, handing the box to Shota and Eri.

"For me?!" Eri questioned. Tomura just nods. Eri looks at Shota and he just smiles and tells her to open it. When she does she tears up right away. It was Touya leather jacket. Eri always loved his jacket, she thought it was so cool. Touya always said he would give it to her when she gets older. Inside the pocket was a letter and photo. Eri opens it and starts crying.

Hey Kitty,

I know you're upset with me and it's okay to be upset. I'm upset with myself as well. Just know that everything I did, I did for you. Know, nothing is your fault, I made this choice to fix my mistake. I hope and pray that you are back home with your dads and brothers.

I wish I could be with you, watch you grow up to be a beautiful, smart, caring person. I may be gone but know I will always be with you. Remember that old camera I had and you took a photo of us. Well, it was the only photo that was able to be printed. It's the only one I like being in. Save it and always treasure it. I love you kitty. Always and forever. Be good to your dad and papa.

Oh, can you do me a favor. Shaggy will be lonely without me so keep him company. He may look creepy but he is a good guy. Toga is good to just don't listen to her, she got a few loose screws. Jin is cool too. Kurogiri is a good guy, really smart. They may seem broken and scary but they are my family and I hope they can be yours as well. Keigo is hawks, you may have found out already. Tell everyone I said hi. Remember I love you always. Bye my kitty.

Eri cried when she saw the photo of her and Touya, holding onto Shota.

Shota smiles when he notices a small tattoo on Touya neck, "he really got it tattooed uh" Shota thought with a small smile.

Everyone was silent with tears falling. Eri put on Touya jacket and ran to Tomura. "I'm your family now, Shaggy. I'm your kitty now." Eri says. Tomura, being his awkward self, had no idea what to do. Eri looks at Toga and Jin and says "I'm your family, too, and you too, Kurogiri. I will be with all of you forever." Eri says with a smile, tears still falling down. Toga smiles and hugs Eri, Jin joins in and grabs Tomura's arm and forces him into the hugging session. Kurogiri just smiles and pats Eri on her head.

Shota is still staring at Kurogiri and it hits him, "Oboro?" Shota whispers. Kurogiri just looks at him and smiles.

"Shota, what's wrong?" Hizashi asks.

"Oboro is that you?" Shota asks Kurogiri, ignoring Hizashi's question.

"I'm sorry, who?" Kurogiri asked.

"Shota, who is Oboro?" Hizashi now demanding to know.

"I'm sorry, you just look like an old friend of mine from high school. He disappeared after his second year. They said he died but there was no information regarding that. He was my best friend, I thought you were him" Shota says slightly heartbroken.

"You seemed to have cared for him," Kurogiri questioned.

"I did-- I do. He is the reason why I became a writer. He always told me my writing was good, our home life was shitty so we became each other's family. He was like my brother, no he was my brother. When he disappeared my heart broke. I just want to know what happened to him. I don't care what he is doing now or what he did in the past. I just want to know if he is alive. That's all I want to know." Shota says to Kurogiri, letting him know that he knows he is Oboro.

Kurogiri just smiles and says, "I hope you find out as well."

After some time Shota, Hizashi, Hitoshi and Eri leave. Eri hugs everyone and tells them that she will be back. Tomura just smiles and heads back to the back room. Toga and Jin wave back to Eri, Kurogiri just smiles and before Shota walks out Kurogiri says, "See you around, Kuro cat."

Shota smiles and replies, "See you cloudhead."

"Why are you crying daddy?" Eri asked when she saw tears on Shota's face.

"I'm just happy sweetie, looks like our family got big, huh?" Shota says as he pinch Eri cheeks.

"Yeah, full of criminals." Hitoshi says with a small sigh.

"Yeah, but it's thanks to them we got Eri back," Hizashi said, reminding Hitoshi. Shota just shakes his head and Hitoshi just sighs. Eri is lost at what they were talking about but didn't care.

"Let's go home. I'm sure Nemuri and Nori are waiting for me to come home for the surprise party." Shota says making everyone stop.

"Daddy! How did you know?" Eri asked, surprised.

Shota just laughs and says, "I know them and I know you guys, so let's go home and get this damn party done so I can sleep."

"Sleep? You slept enough, lazy ass." Hitoshi says only to get hit with the cane making everyone laugh. They arrived at the house and Shota was surprised to see so many people. Not only was it Nemuri and Nori, but it was Yuu, Inko, Deku, the whole class, Mirio, Tamaki, Neriji, and Enji. Shota was surprised to see Enji, but he wanted to be there for Shota and Eri. Eri showed Enji the jacket and photo, and Enji was happy that Touya left something for her.

The party lasted for a few hours and then Shota kicked almost everyone out. Eri slept with Touya jacket on and Hitoshi was cleaning up the kitchen with Deku. Yuu, Nemuri and Nori stayed to clean up the rest of the house. Shota was on the couch with Hizashi, "I love you" Shota says as he lays his head on his shoulder.

Hizashi smiles and kisses Shota, "I love you too." They held each other's hands just happy to be together again.

"Hey Yuu, let's have a baby," Shota says, leaving everyone shocked.

"What?" Yuu asked confusedly .

"Let's have a baby. Nemuri said the medicine you're on is working. So let's have a baby. I want more kids, I want to buy a big house so we can have more space for the kids. Nori should buy a house next door and Nemuri too. I don't want to lose anyone or be apart from anyone. I want to live a full life, so let's have a baby." Shota says as he looks at Hizashi, Nori, Nemuri and Yuu.

Yuu is in tears as she longed to carry a child and now it can happen. Everyone is happy and Hizashi asks if Shota was sure and reassures Hizashi he is. "Guess the family just got bigger," Hitoshi said with a smile. Shota smiles, happy to be alive, happy to be with his husband, happy to be with his kids, happy to be with his family. The Aizawa family is growing and Shota is happy about it.
