⇢ Chapter 34.

It's been two weeks since Touya's death and Shota is still in a coma. Hizashi has been by his side the whole time, only time he leaves is when Hitoshi or Nemuri would drag him out of the hospital to go home to shower and sleep. Eri moved back home and began seeing a therapist to give her some extra support. She was almost taken away from the only family she knew, lost her best friend and her dad was in a coma. It's a lot for a six-year-old girl, Sasaki recommended it will help her, so Hizashi agreed.

Hizashi was with Shota when Hitoshi walked in. "Hey Pops," Hitoshi says quietly.

Hizashi looks up at Hitoshi, eyes drained of any life, black bags under his eyes, hair in a messy bun. "Hey, Toshi, school is done?" Hizashi says weakly.

Hitoshi sighs as he rubs his neck. "Pops, go home. Sleep, you look like shit. You look worse than dad does when he pulls all nighters. You can't be looking like that when dad wakes up. Can't have his wife looking like a hot mess." Hitoshi says with a light laugh.

Hizashi lets out a small laugh and just nods his head in agreement. "Yeah, can't have him see me like this. But... I can't leave him, what if he wakes up and I'm not here? Or what if someth--" Hizashi unable to finish as tears fall.

"He will wake up, Pop. Dad isn't weak. He knows we are waiting for him. He just taking his sweet ass time, damn sleeping beauty," Hitoshi says as he puts his hand on top of Hizashi who is holding Shota's hand.

"Sleeping Grumpy is more like it," Hizashi says with a light laugh. After some time Hizashi agrees to go home and rest while Hitoshi stays with Shota.

"Come on, Dad, please wake up. Pops, me, and Eri... We need you. So wake up, old man." Hitoshi says as he lays his head on Shota's arm.

A few days later, Toshinori and Nemuri were staying with Shota and arguing about baby names. "Hinata is a good name for a girl and Ukyo is good for a boy," Nemuri shouted.

"No, Hitoka is a beautiful name for a girl and Tadashi is a good name for a boy," Toshinori yells back.

"No, you big meat head, Hinata or Ukyo!" Nemuri says as she pushes Toshinori with her breasts.

"Don't push me with your fake boobs! Hitoka or Tadashi, you old hag," Toshinori pushes back with his chest.

"Old hag?! You big meat head small dic--" Nemuri was unable to finish as Yuu hit her on the head.

"Children are in the room," Yuu says as she points to Eri, Yuzuki, Deku and Hitoshi as they walk into the room. "What the hell was all the yelling for anyways?" Yuu questioned.

"Baby names," Inko says as she just sits next to Shota knitting.

Yuu just shook her head and smacked both Toshinori and Nemuri. "Babe, why are you hitting me again?" Nemuri whines.

"Um, please keep your voices down. Thank you." The nurse says trying to quiet down the noise. Both Toshinori and Nemuri apologize. Everyone is sitting around Shota just talking about random things and Eri is next to him as she brushes his hair and cleans his face while being very careful with the tubes and wires.

"Taking care of your daddy, sweetie?" Sugawara says as he walks in.

"Doctor Suga, hi," Eri says with a big smile.

"Eri, don't give nicknames without asking first," Hitoshi remarks.

"It's okay, I told her she can call me Suga-- Everyone does," Suga says with a smile.

"Ah, Doctor Dachi, hi," Eri says with a big smile and waving.

"Hi, Eri" Dachi says with a smile and waving back.

"Toshi, did you know Doctor Suga and Dachi are married? I saw them kissing in the hallway." Eri says with a little smirk.

"Gossip queen, I swear," Hitoshi says with a small laugh, making everyone laugh.

"Mina is the gossip queen, I'm the gossip princess!" Eri exclaims proudly while sticking out her tongue to Hitoshi. Suga and Dachi just laugh at the scene of Eri teasing Hitoshi, and Hitoshi doing the same.

"What's going on in here?" Hizashi says as he walks in. He says hello to the Doctors and everyone. He leans forward to kiss Shota on his head when Shota's eyes flutter. Hizashi froze when he saw it. "His eyes moved, did you see that?" Hizashi questioned.

Everyone stood to see what was going on but saw nothing. "Papa, kiss daddy like a prince kissing his princess. Maybe Daddy needs a kiss to wake up," Eri says all excitedly.

"Eri, pops been kissing dad all this time and nothing happens. This isn't some fairytale." Hitoshi says sadly.

"Shut up, you poopy head. Maybe Daddy wasn't ready yet. But I saw his eyes move. Maybe he is ready now. So, Papa, kiss Daddy again." Eri says as she pushes Hizashi to kiss Shota again. Hizashi sighs and leans down and kisses Shota on his head. "Not his head, Papa, on his lips." Eri says.

"Monkey, tubes are coming out of dad's mouth, Pops can't kiss him in the lips." Hitoshi reminds Eri.

"It's okay, sweetie, maybe it was just some random movement that happens, right, Doctor?" Hizashi asks sadly.

"Yes, sometimes movements happen but it's a good sign that his brain is responding to sounds and touch." Dachi says, trying to reassure Eri.

"No!" Eri yelled, making everyone shocked. "I saw daddy eyes move. He is trying to wake up. I'm going to wake him up. He has been sleeping for too long!" Eri cries.

"Sweetie, please we all want him to wake up," Hizashi says, trying not to cry.

"No! Daddy, please wake up" Eri says as she leans forward and kisses Shota on his head. "Please, Daddy, wake up." Eri whispers. Just then Shota eyes moves again making Eri jump back. "It moved, it moved!" Eri yells.

Hizashi looks at Shota as he slowly tries to open his eyes, then he starts making a gagging sound. "Please move, his body is reacting to the tubes-- Nurse, come here help me remove his tubes. Shota, please calm down, You're at XX hospital." Dachi says as he begins to remove Shota tubes.

Everyone rushed out of the room so the doctor and nurse could work on Shota. Hizashi falls to his knees as tears fall. "See Papa, I told you Daddy needed his prince!" Eri says as she hugs Hizashi.

"No, he needed his princess," Hizashi says as he hugs Eri back.

After the doctors had done running tests on Shota everyone was allowed back in the room. Shota smiles when he sees Eri. "Daddy, you're awake. I missed you," Eri says as she walks over. "Can I hug him?" Eri asks Suga.

"Yes, sweetie, just be gentle, okay?" Suga reasures her.
Eri and Hitoshi wasted no time to hug Shota, who just hugs them back. Shota looks over at Hizashi and smiles, Hizashi walks over and kisses Shota. "Don't ever do this to me again," Hizashi says with tears. Everyone is happy that Shota is awake and alive.

"I love you" Shota manages to say through a creak voice with tears coming down. He is happy to be alive and to be with his family again. "Thank you, Touya." Shota says to himself, knowing Touya is gone.

Sleeping beauty is awake!! Yay!! Shota is alive!! All he needed was a kiss from his princess ❤️

Two more chapters and we are done!! I was going to post them all at once but I'm not. I'm doing something special for both chapters so it will be out when the special something is done. I'm hoping the first one is done by the beginning of March. The chapters are done and edited just waiting for the special surprise 😄 trust me it will be worth the wait!
