Peony POV

I can't hide this awkwardness. Surrounded by strangers. Except for Yu, I didn't even know all this people.

There's a blue hair girl, who I met earlier. Until this moment, I only know her name. Yu called her Blue. And, there's a boy with a dirty blonde with red highlight; gorgeous eyes. Finally, a raven hair girl.

She looked kinda older.

This wasn't in my mind when I left my home. I thought maybe I will be stranded on the street. Or, at least crashing at Tina's place. But, come to think of it, there's no way her parents will let me stay. Everyone knew what happened. So, I assumed by now, the PTA knew it as well.

“This is not a teen shelther, Yu...” the raven hair girl glared at me.

“You guys lived here...”

“We are not homeless. We work for you and your father...”

“Used to work...”

“Don't correct me. I still work for him,” she said.

“Who talk about quitting the other day?” Yu asked her. I could see from the corner of my eye, the red hair and the blue hair turn their head in  synchronize.

“Changed my mind,”

Yu smirked. He grabbed the mug from the dining table and brought it close to his lips.

“Okay, enough of that. Let's start...”

“Don't you ever realize how dangerous it is to follow a stranger home?” again, she's stammered me with a question.

“I am not a stranger to her...”

“How much did you know about Yu? Tell me,”

“I-”

“Besides his name, his surname, and his crazy lunatic act, you know nothing about him, am I right? Do you know that he used to go to the prison?” I dropped my sight to Yu. His reaction was kinda like dull now.

“Look, the only thing that you did right now is looking for a huge trouble. I don't know how bad your life is, but for you to come here... That's the wrong choice, Miss Lee,”

“How did you know my name?”

“It doesn't matter...”

“It is. That's my personal information and you are just a stranger for me. You're not supposed to know that,” my words against her were stern.

Things got more and more confusing now. Why on earth does she hated me so much? I never asked for this to happen! It's Yu who grabbed me from the street and brought me home!

“Shut up everyone, or I'll kill all of you,” the dining hall got extremely quite. No more arguing after the warning.

Seems like they listened to Yu like he is a master of the house. My curiosity bud kicked in.

Who is he, to be honest?

“I'm the one who brought Peony home. She needs a place to stay and I think I'm responsible for what happened to her,” said Yu.

“What the hell? She's not even your girlfriend...”

“We slept together,” I almost this close to pinch his hand. But, he sat across to me. All I can did right now was kicking his leg a bit.

“Sleeping... Like...”

“Sex?” asked the blue hair girl.

“Fuck...” the blonde/red boy grinned widely. I felt heat all over my body. That shame feeling...

I rather die now than facing them!

“He just joking-”

“Grinding your pussy is not a joke for me. It's a hard labor,” I diverted my sight elsewhere. Dropped the mug on the table.

Please, floor... Make a hole so I can sink!

“That's rude...” the raven hair girl glared at Yu. But he just brushed off the comment by carresing my hand. I pulled my hand away from him.

“Miss Lee, do you need a chopper?”

“Chopper?”

“Yeah, so you can chop Yu's hand. I can see how much you hate him. End it now, once and for all,”

I studied the girl attentively. She and her sarcastic attitude. Probably because she's older than them, she tend to have more self-control. Maturity helped her seeing things in different way.

Seriously, right now, I adore her so much!

“Thanks, but prison is the last thing in my mind,” I smiled a bit. But, she just staring blankly at me.

On the other hand, Yu gave me a sharp glare.

“It's a joke,” I justified myself.

“There's no joke when it comes to prison. Especially, in this household,” the blue hair girl lifted her brows and chuckled at me.

“Sorry...”

“Don't use that word here,” this time, it's the blonde/red boy who corrected me.

“I thought we should say sorry when we make mistakes,” now I felt really confused and found it weird. How can someone escaped from apologies when they did wrong? That's not okay!

“She's an idiot...”

“She's the best in my school!”

“Stupidity comes in different shapes and sizes,” said the raven hair girl.

“Sounds like a commercial,”

She gave the blonde/red hair boy an eerie stare. The boy shrunk himself on the chair, zipped up his sweater properly.

“Shut up, both of you! Red, enough of your stupid shit. And Grey, could you please be nice?” asked Yu. “I made my decision and please respect it. Peony will live with us until the issue cool down a bit. End of a story,” he looked at me and smile a bit.

“We need a room for her. Don't wanna share!” the blue hair girl pouted her mouth.

“I hate strays...” it's the raven hair girl's turn to protest.

“We have extra room downstairs...”

“What? The storage?” asked the blonde/red hair boy.

“I'll call the crew and ask them to clear the room tomorrow,”

“Still we need new furnitures!”

“IKEA has sales this weekend...”

“Can you guys stop it! Stop it!”

I don't know how I ended up screaming like that. The thing is, I wasn't even sure if this is the right thing to do!

“I'm sorry, but there's no way I can live in someone's house like this. I mean, thanks Yu for the offer but we barely know each other,” I gripped my dress tight. “And, the last time I checked, we do have tangled issue. So, I don't want people to speculate,” Yu looked at me with his hooded eyes.

“Sorry, but I gotta go now,” I grabbed my bag and left the dining hall.

I don't want to be a burden to anyone. Besides, by the way half of the population in this house react, I could see how things gonna turn out in the future. Hatred by my family was more than enough for me to handle.

I just don't wanna add numbers!

I put on my shoes and stepped out from the main door when someone pulled my hand from behind.

“Let me go, Yu...”

“No,”

I pulled my hand from him, turned around so I could face him. So I could chew him if I need to.

“Just let me go, Yu. This is too much for me. I know you meant well, but I don't need your sympathy,” I told him.

“This is not a sympathy...”

“Stop acting like a saint when you are the cause of the problem!” I literally shouting at Yu. “I know you. I know by now, you probably laughing inside when you watch this helpless girl's life got destroyed! Happy now?!”

At the instant, his expression turned darker. He lost his shining smile that he flashed since we arrived.

“You should be grateful when people are being nice to you. Cause, the world out there is even worst than my household,” he said.

“Says the one who got into prison...”

“You're judging me, Peony,” he clenched his jaw. At that moment, I realized.

I'm being jerk myself!

What happened to you, Peony?!

“You can go to hell!” Yu pushed my body a bit, stomping his feet towards the main door.

I stood there, unfazed. Guilty started to eat my alive now. How can I said that to him!? Even if it's true, I have no rights to judge him.

What's wrong with you, Peony? You should repent for your sins!

But I think it's too late! Now, I had no way to go. I couldn't take a detour and went back. I hurted him, and there's no way Yu can forgive me!

I have no choice but to go to Benji's place tonight. I hope he can help me this time.
