At Trollworks Prom everyone is there having fun. Well almost everyone. Poppy sits at a table unhappily and watches his friends dance with their dates. He is wearing a dashing black tuxedo with a nice bowtie and smart looking shoes. His pink hair brushed nicely. Poppy doesn't have a date... Today was a bad day so he isn't really as happy as he thought he would be at Prom. He sighs sadly feeling like he is the only person here who doesn't have a date.

Then when he turns his head slightly his jaw drops. He sees his best friend,Branch, looking so beautiful and stunning! She is the most beautiful girl he ever seen. His heart skips a beat as the cheerleader walks up to him. Branch is wearing stunning beautiful and subtly sparkling red dress with a long following skirt,silver sparkling belt and simple and modest sweetheart neckline. Her Royal Sapphire blue hair is wavy and rests perfectly on her shoulders. Her silver flats allow her to walk nicely.

Then Branch stops in front of Poppy with soft smile on her face. A smile spreads across his face making Branch's heart skip a beat. He is the most handsome boy she knows and have ever met. She sits down next to him happily. Branch and Poppy are in love with each other but, they never admitted their feelings to each other. It has been this way for a few years now.

"Hey Cheerleader.", Poppy greets playfully.

" Hey Class Present. ",Branch greets playfully.

Branch and Poppy are very happy to see each other. They have their own playful banter. It does make some people wonder if they are a couple. The two teenagers just always have that special bond. Branch wonders why is Poppy by himself. She thought he would have a date.

" So why are you all by yourself? Where's your date?",Branch asks confused.

Poppy let's out a sigh. He actually wanted to ask her but, when he saw her being asked by another guy and realized that he took too long. It broke his heart to see her with another guy. After that it was already too late to get a date so he decided to go alone.

"Well...I actually don't have a date. The girl I wanted to ask was already going with someone else...", Poppy says honestly and sad.

Branch frowns feeling sorry for him. She could tell that he is hurting even know he is trying to hide it. A part of her is secretly happy that he didn't go with someone who isn't her but, she is more concerned about his feelings. She puts an hand on his shoulder.

" I'm sorry,Poppy. She has no idea what a great guy she is missing out on...",Branch says softly and honestly.

Poppy smiles at her softly. She could always make him feel better even when she breaks his heart.

"Thanks. So where is your date? ", Poppy says honestly and curious.

" Oh,I don't have a date. ",Branch admits honestly but,not sad.

Poppy is now confused. But,what about the guy he saw her with before? Didn't the guy ask her or did he misread the situation?

" But, what about the guy I saw talking to you before in the hall? He had a rose in his hand,wore a Rugby Jersey, had brown hair,tan skin and you were smiling at him...",Poppy says confused.

Branch blinks at Poppy confused. Is he talking about Felix? Oh he must had saw her helping him practice his Prom Proposal. He needed help asking out his crush so he came to her cause he thought she is the Queen of Romance. Poppy must gotten the wrong idea! She has zero romantic feelings for Felix that's for sure!

"You mean Felix? Poppy,he was worried and scared about asking Bluebell to be his date for Prom so he came to me for help! He was practising saying his Prom Proposal speech to me and was pretending that I was Bluebell as he was telling to me over and over again. I have no feelings for Felix! Poppy,you gotten the wrong idea about the whole thing...", Branch explains honestly and shocked then softly at the end.

Now Poppy feels like an total idiot! This whole time he was thinking that Branch had fallen for someone else! He should had just talked to her. Then neither of him and her would be here without date having this conversation. At least he feels relieved that she isn't with someone else.

" Oh...",Poppy says softly and embarrassed.

Branch nods her head to him implying that it is true. Why is Poppy so embarrassed? Was it just cause he misread the situation or did he have more reasons? Then a slow song starts playing and gets both Branch and Poppy's attention.

A smile spreads across Poppy's face as he gets an idea. It may be too late to ask Branch to be his date to Prom but, it's not too late to spend Prom with her. They could hang out as friends since they both don't have dates. Poppy turns his head back to the girl of his dreams and gets her attention.

" Hey. Hmmm... Would you like to dance with me? ",Poppy says softly and a little nervous.

Branch smiles at him softly. She would love to dance with him.

" I love to...",Branch says happily.

Poppy and Branch get up and slowly walk over to the dance floor happily. They hold hands as they do so. Once on the dance floor are surrounded by lots of slow dancing couples. Then Branch puts her hands around Poppy's neck on his shoulders while Poppy puts his hands around her waist. The two teens lock eyes and smile at each other.

Branch and Poppy start dancing to the beat of the music. They are completely focused on each other. The dim light of the dance shines on them perfectly. The rest of the world has disappeared to Branch and Poppy.

The beat picks up. Branch and Poppy start dancing more freely. Poppy twirls Branch out then back in. They both let go of each other's hands and step from side to side in sync. Branch holds her dress skirt up as she dances.

Escape this town for a little while, oh oh

The beat slow downs then Branch and Poppy start waltzing again happily. Poppy spins Branch around slowly then pulls her back to him. Moments later, the two best friends laugh at joke by the punch bowl. They both have a plastic cup of punch in their hand.

"I was there and I still can't believe you did that.", Branch says honestly and happily.

" Yeah. It was awesome. ",Poppy replies happily.

" More like reckless and that's coming a girl who gets thrown in the air and does tricks in the air too. ", Branch admits happily and amused.

" Oh come on. It looked cool and you know it.", Poppy says playfully.

Branch just playfully shakes her head then finishes drinking her punch. Poppy just smiles at her then finishes drinking his punch. Then the DJ stops the music and starts making his announcement.

" Listen up,my Party People. It is time to announce your Prom King and Queen! ",the DJ announces excited.

Most of the teenagers cheers and all of them walk towards the stage. Branch and Poppy side by side to the middle of the crowd. The plastic cups have been put in the recycling bin. Everyone waits and listens to the DJ.

" Okay,all of your votes have been counted. Your Prom Queen is Creek Brand and Your Prom King is Poppy Kendrick! Please give your King and Queen a warm welcome on stage!",the DJ says excited.

Almost everyone starts clapping and cheer. A big smile spreads across Poppy's face. He turns his head to Branch and she smiles at him softly while happily folds her arms. Branch isn't surprised and is happy for Poppy. Poppy is the most popular boy in Trollworks after all.

" Congratulations. ",Branch says happily and honestly.

Then Branch does a playful gesture telling him to move and get on stage. She may hate Creek with passion and doesn't like the idea of her being Poppy's Queen but, she is going to be supportive and likes seeing Poppy happy like this. This is his moment to shine and he truly deserves to be Prom King.

Poppy then happily goes on stage to accept his crown. He stands next to Creek and smiles as the crown is placed on his head. Creek already has her crown on and sends Branch a showboating look. It says a rude and annoying " I'm better than you and Poppy is now mine." Branch just frowns while rolling her eyes for a brief moment. Sure it would had been nice if she could Poppy's Queen but, it's just a title and it doesn't automatically declare you in a relationship with someone. Branch just shakes off Creek's message and focuses on Poppy.

"Give it up for the lovely couple one more time.", the DJ says.

Everyone but,Branch claps while smiles happily. Branch just keeps quiet not wanting to ruin this for Poppy. It's not like he is going to kiss Creek after or during the Prom King and Queen dance. Right?

" Now everyone please get off the dance floor for your King and Queen. ",the DJ says happily.

Everyone on the dance floor walks off it and stands at the edge. Poppy and Creek get onto the dance floor and start waltzing to the gentle music. Branch tries to best to be jealous of Creek and tell herself that it's just a dance.

Creek keeps on stepping on Poppy's feet with her High Heels. Poppy tries his best to smile believably at Creek and hide how uncomfortable and unhappy he is. He isn't enjoying waltzing with Creek as much as he enjoys doing it with Branch. He much rather dance with Branch right now.

Then suddenly as the dance ends Creek forces a kiss on Poppy's lips! From a far it looked like Poppy was kissing back even know he wasn't. Branch feels her heart break as she quietly stares as it happens. A few teenage girls giggle at Creek and Poppy. When Poppy finally manages to pull Creek off Branch turns around and starts walking away hurt. Then everyone else gets onto the dance floor and dance surrounding the Prom King and Queen as another song plays. Creek and Poppy stand a few feet away from each other as they talk.

" Creek,what are you doing? ",Poppy asks shocked and unhappy.

Creek smirks at Poppy. Creek only wants to be with Poppy because, is the most popular boy in school. If she dates him she will more popular. Creek just wants to use Poppy.

" Kissing my king obviously. We are Prom King and Queen so why not make ourselves am official couple. Clearly everyone thinks we should be together. ",Creek replies happily and annoyingly.

Poppy didn't like what he heard. Why would she think that just cause their Prom King and Prom Queen? He doesn't like her like that! He loves Branch! Then he realizes that Branch must had saw the kiss. That's bad! She must think that he likes Creek! He has to talk to her before it's too late but, first he must take care this problem standing in front of him.

" Listen Creek. I don't think you and me should be together. I don't see you like that. My heart belongs to someone else. Please understand that. ",Poppy says respectful and gently.

That made Creek unhappy and angry but, before she could express that Poppy walks away. He is looking for Branch and hopes that she is still here. The Prom King gets off the dance floor but, as he looks around he doesn't see Branch anywhere! Then he sees one of his friends walk up to him.

" Hey Poppy. What's wrong? ", Fuzzette says with her muffled accent.

" Hi Fuzzette. I'm looking for Branch but, I don't see her anywhere. Do you know where she went? ",Poppy says honestly and worried.

Fuzzette thinks for a moment before answering.

" Well,I saw her walk into the hall. She might still be there.",Fuzzette says honestly.

Poppy grows more worried. Now he is afraid that Branch is leaving cause she saw Creek kiss him! He can't let her leave. The Prom King starts running while thanking his friend quickly. Once Poppy is in the hall he walks around looking for Branch. Then he sees her sitting on an hall bench all by herself. He frowns as he notices the heartbreak on her face as she looks at floor. Poppy slowly walks up to her then makes himself known to her.

"Hey... Mind if I sit?", Poppy says softly.

Branch looks up at Poppy. She wonders why he is out here. She tries to act like nothing happened.

" Oh,hmmm...Go ahead.", Branch says softly.

Poppy sits down next his best friend. He can tell that she is hurting and trying to act strong. He didn't like seeing her like this. Some guilt fills his heart even know he did nothing wrong.

"Branch, what happened back there with Creek... It wasn't what it looked like. She kissed me but, I didn't kiss back. ", Poppy explains softly

Hearing that surprised Branch. She honestly thought that he was kissing Creek. Then she becomes confused. Why is he telling her this?

" Why are you telling me this? It's not like we are dating or came to Prom together...",Branch asks softly and confused

Branch wish that they will be more than friends and Poppy does too. Poppy let's out a sigh then he takes a hold of her hand. He gazes into her eyes.

" Because, I don't want you to have the wrong idea about it. I don't care what everyone else thinks as long as you know truth. Branch, you actually are the girl I wanted to take to Prom but, when I saw you help Felix I thought it was too late to ask you... I still want to spend it with you even know your not my date.", Poppy admits honestly and softly.

Branch looks at Poppy shocked for a second then it is replaced with happiness. She blushes a little and her heart skips a beat. She wanted to go with him to Prom too but, she thought that he doesn't see her more than a friend.

"Really?", Branch says softly.

Poppy smiles and nods his head. He meant every word.

" I wanted to go with you too. I was sort of waiting for you to ask me.",Branch admits honestly softly.

Poppy's heart skips a beat and his smile grows bigger. He couldn't be happier. Then he takes off his King crown and puts it on Branch's head. It looks perfect on her.

Branch smiles at Poppy happily as they gaze into each other's eyes.

Then Poppy slowly puts his hand on her cheek. They both slowly close their eyes while slowly leaning forward then start sharing a magical, long and wonderful kiss. Branch is a hundred times better at kissing than Creek. Neither Branch or Poppy wanted to break their kiss.

Then they break the kiss. They smile at each other softly while blushing a little as they gaze into each other's eyes. Everything feels perfect now to the love birds and they wouldn't have it any other way. Branch and Poppy very soon start dating and they couldn't be happier. As long as they have each other life can throw anything at them. Their True Love will always stay strong and grow.
