Fairytale AU + (Sort of ) Romeo and Juliet AU

Branch flies into the boarding school but,suddenly she hears Headmaster Forest's voice. It startled Branch as a result!

"You took longer than it should've been...",Headmaster Forest scolded.

The student lands on her feet and turns to the headmaster. She knows that she is in trouble. Forest walks over to Branch.

"What were you doing?", Headmaster Forest asks angry.

Branch knew she couldn't just tell the truth cause Headmaster Forest will freak out! She is scared of what he might do once he starts freaking out.

" I just got distracted by something and lost track of time,Sir.",Branch admits.

Technically it wasn't lying. Branch did get distracted by Poppy and lost track of time. The headmaster raises an eyebrow. He didn't think that was just it.

"What distracted you? Was it Prince Poppy? ", Forest asks seriously.

" No...It was just a beautiful view of the forest.",Branch lies.

The headmaster wasn't convinced.

"Anything else to add?", Forest asks wanting to make sure there isn't more to the story.

Branch shakes her head not wanting to add anything to her lie. The headmaster decides to stop asking questions.

" Next time you take that long you will be punished! Understand? ",the headmaster said meaning every word.

Branch nods her head showing that she understands. Then the headmaster walks away not giving Branch a second thought. The teenager takes the sticks to the school's storage rooms then walks out slowly the school to her pod. By the time she reaches her pod room it is night now.

The only thing on her mind is Poppy. Branch goes into her pod and closes the door. She let's out a sad sigh as she turns on the lights. The teen goes to her bed and sits on it. Branch pulls out a recent picture of her and Poppy from her nightstand draw. Tears start falling down her face as she looks at it. She is going to miss Poppy...

Meanwhile outside the school,Poppy manages to find the tree the school is in. The Prince walks through the invisibility shield hiding the school. He couldn't just forget about Branch! He couldn't stand the idea of not seeing Branch again! He can't let her go! He won't let her go without a fighting for love! Poppy has to see her again and hear her voice!

The Prince looks up and sees all pods surrounding the tree house school. He uses his hair pulling himself up the tree but, stops when he sees Branch in one of pod windows! Poppy quietly swings himself onto a branch. Then Poppy hears the security guards and sees their flashlights!

"Shoot!", Poppy curses to himself.

He quickly hides behind a random pod. A guard flashes his light where Poppy was standing. The guard looks suspicious at the area and slowly walks over to the pod. Poppy notices the light getting bigger and closer! The guard is just about to turn to see what is behind pod but,another guard gets his attention.

" Found anything? ",a security guard asks.

Poppy quickly pulls himself up onto the branch under Branch's pod! The guard looks behind the pod and sees nothing. He walks away thinking that it must had been the student in the pod he heard. Poppy slowly walks to Branch's pod window. The Prince hears Branch's voice.

" Now I'm alone again
Without you here
Love feels hard to sustain
It seems that it goes nowhere ...",Branch says sadly.

Poppy's heart breaks at hearing how unhappy Branch is. He wonders if she talking about him. The Prince reaches the window and uses his hair to turn into a small makeshift stair case. He walks up quickly and sees Branch walking back and forth while holding a red rose in her hand. She doesn't notice Poppy at all.

" Why do stupid rules want us to be apart? I'm always try to follow them but, I get in trouble anyway! Maybe I should just talk to Poppy. Where you are staying and status shouldn't determine who you can be with,right? I love Poppy so should that be the only thing that matters in the end? Why is being in love so tricky? ", Branch says to herself trying to make sense of everything.

Poppy's heart skips a beat as he listened to Branch. A smile slowly spreads across his face after he recovered from his surprise. He didn't expect to hear Branch confess her feelings about him! His world feels like it became brighter. Poppy folds his arms and puts them on the open pod window seal while smiling.

"I couldn't agree more...", Poppy says softly loud enough for Branch to hear.

Branch drops the rose as she froze from shock! She turns around and sees Poppy.

"On Frosting! What are you doing here? How much did you hear?", Branch says panicked and embarrassed.

Poppy softly laughs amused by her reaction. He finds it a little adorable. The Prince gives Branch a smile before speaking.

" I couldn't stand the idea of waiting years to see you again! I don't want to lose you...And I heard enough,Branch...I'm in love with you too... I Love You!",Poppy says softly,lovingly and honest.

Branch walks over to her Romeo. She couldn't believe what is happening! She feels her heart warm up and skips a beat at Poppy's words. Branch feels like she is living a dream right now! Branch puts an hand over one of Poppy's hands. Branch's true colours start shining as they come out replacing her dull colours. She feels happy for the first time in a long time. Poppy stares at beautiful colours in awe.

"I Love You Too!", Branch confesses lovingly and honest.

Everything feels perfect in that moment. Poppy couldn't stop himself from smiling. Branch giggles at Poppy. Then they hear a security guard! Branch immediately pulls Poppy into her pod. The guard hears Poppy fall into the pod! Branch sees the guard's flashlight then looks at Poppy who is standing again.

" Hide!",Branch whispers panicked.

Poppy sees the guard's flashlight towards the pod and the guard's shadow! Then Branch helps him hide somewhere but,accidentally cause something to fall onto the floor. The security guard hears the noise so he walks over to Branch's pod and sees her in the window.

" What's going on in there? ",the guard asks loudly suspicious.

Branch sees the security guard and quickly walks away from where Poppy is hidden. The student reaches the pod window and sees the guard.

" Oh,Something fell on the floor while I was looking something else...",Branch admits.

She isn't lying. The security guard thinks for a moment then decides to his suspicion go. He turns around and walks away. Soon he is out of Branch's sight and she let's out an sigh of relief. She closes the window and the curtains so nobody could look inside. Then she walks over to her closet and opens it. Branch sees an uncomfortable Poppy in her closet.

"He's gone.", Branch states.

The Prince gets out of the closet happily. A clothes hanger was poking his back a little while he was hiding.  Branch quickly closes the closet.

" You should leave before another guard comes...",Branch says a little disappointed.

The teenage girl doesn't want Poppy to leave so soon but, she knows he can't stay. Poppy didn't want to leave either.

" So when can I see you again? ",Poppy asks.

Branch takes a moment to think before she speaks. She remembers her usual routine.

" Well school ends at 2 p.m. I just have few chores to do after that but, I'm free for the rest of the day. You? ",Branch says honestly.

Poppy smiles at the fact that she does have free time tomorrow. He sees a good opportunity to have his first date with her.

" I have to learn how to rule and other stuff from normal schools in the morning to afternoon. The party I invited you to is tomorrow so I'm free like you for the rest of the day tomorrow...",Poppy says honestly.

Then the Prince takes ahold of one of Branch's hands. He gazes into her beautiful blue eyes.

"How about tomorrow night I take you on a date in the forest? It just be you and me.", Poppy suggests hopeful.

Branch couldn't believe what is happening. She blushes and her heart skips a beat at the thought of going on a date with Poppy. The student smiles at her Prince.

" What time?",Branch asks.

"Seven O clock?", Poppy suggests.

Branch didn't mind the time as long Poppy and her are safe. She smiles at Poppy.

" Done! I'll sneak out and meet up with you.",Branch says happily.

The Prince couldn't be happier right now.

"I'll be hiding and waiting near by this tree for you...", Poppy promises happily.

Branch gives Poppy a small adorable smile. Everything feels perfect again. Minutes later, Poppy happily sneaks out without anyone noticing. The next day everyone was shocked to see Branch with her true colours and Headmaster found it a little suspicious. Branch didn't notice that everyone stared at her or were talking about her or even their shock! She is too happy to notice it. Branch can't wait for her first date with Poppy!

Soon the sun had set and the sky is filled with stars. It's almost seven O clock and Branch is in her pod. She is excited for her date. She is wearing a pretty silver dress with short skirt and shoulder straps. Her hair is loose and brushed neatly. She has a simple flower clip keeping one of her bangs out of her eyes. Branch sprays some of her perfume. Branch is ready for date and she hopes that she looks okay at least. The student looks at her clock.

Meanwhile Poppy is busy putting the final touches to the picnic. The fire close by to it gives Poppy light. He is wearing some new clothes Satin and Chenille made him. It is black jeans,his usual headband and smart light blue dress shirt which is loose and has a few top buttons not buttoned. He had brought a jacket too but, it sits on the picnic blanket. Then the Prince happily steps back viewing his work. He hope that Branch will like what he did. He quickly walks to Branch's school and hides by a tree close to it.

Poppy sees Branch go through the invisible field shield. Poppy's jaw drops once he saw her with amazed expression. To the Prince time had slowed down. As Branch walks over to Poppy the moonlight make her sparkle and look like she is glowing. The gentle breeze gently blows her hair back and pass her folded wings.

Branch stops in front of Poppy. She smiles at him shy. Poppy is still staring at her beauty. He smiles back at her and locks his eyes with hers.

Yeah!

After a few minutes of gazing at each other they decide to greet. They don't break eye contact.

"Hey...", Branch greets in love.

" Hey...",Poppy greets in love.

Poppy takes a hold of one of her hands. His heart skips a beat. Branch blushes a little.

"You look amazing.", Poppy says softly.

Branch blushes more at Poppy's complement.

" Thanks. You look amazing too.",Branch says honestly.

Then the couple happily walk away to their date while holding hands. They don't care about how they are not allowed to be together. Tonight they are just going focus on each other. And they couldn't be happier on their first date.
