Kidnapped/Modern AU

A day later, Branch and Poppy are in a small and square cage which sits in Chef's office. They are sleeping and snuggling happily. The darts have been removed from their bodies. Chef walks into his office with an evil expression. He quietly walks to his desk and opens the cage. He opens the cage then pokes Branch to wake her up. Soon Branch slowly starts to wake up.

The Bergen grabs Branch as she rubs her eyes while bringing herself up into sitting position. The grey troll immediately gets scared and almost let's out a scream but, Chef's large thumb covers her mouth! Chef takes Branch out of the cage while tighten his grip.

"Shhh!", Chef says softly with an evil look in his eyes.

Then the Bergen leaves the office with a scared Branch in his hand! Moments later,Poppy is woken up by Branch's loud terrified scream from rooms away! He looks around and notices Branch is not with him! Poppy immediately gets up and runs to the bars. He panicked as he looks around searching for Branch! That's when he realized where he is!

"LET ME GO! ... STOP!", Branch screams loud and scared.

Poppy turns around and runs to the side of the cage facing the open door. His heart beats so fast in that moment as horrible images of Branch suffering fill his head! He has to get out of this cage! He has to get to Branch! He must save her! Poppy moves quickly to the cage door. The pink troll looks around quickly for keys but, there is none anywhere!

"Make Sure You Don't Kill Her,Troy!Like You Did Last Time!", Chef yells angry.

Poppy's eyes widen as he heard Chef yell. Branch could die from what their doing to her?! Now Poppy can hear nothing but, his heart beat! An idea hit Poppy's head as looks up the shelves. The pink troll holds onto the bars then stretches his hair up to top shelf. Once he has a good grip holding onto it Poppy uses his hair to pull the cage off the desk and immediately let's go with his hair! The cage breaks from the impact but, Poppy is fine.

" POPPY! ",Branch calls out loud and scared.

The pink troll's head immediately shoots up!

" I'm Coming,Branch!",Poppy says determined and serious.

Meanwhile, Branch is in the Bergens' laboratory on the table. Her wrists and feet are tied together,her clothes are missing and her hair is gelled. Troy had put her under water a few times as punishment for escaping then started testing her body's health and Troy wasn't being gentle! Then Chef walks towards Branch with needle filled with green liquid. Chef picks Branch up as he smirks at how weak Branch seems to be to him now.

"It's time to make you more loyal to me...", Chef says evilly while facing Branch.

Branch struggles against Chef's grip as he slowly brings the needle towards one of Branch's arms. As Chef is just about to put the tip of the needle into Branch but, suddenly the needle is taken away from the Bergen's hand by pink hair! Chef turns around upset and sees Poppy standing on shelf and the needle is in his arms like a weapon. The pink troll points the needle at Chef! Poppy looked like the angriest troll Chef ever saw!

" Poppy? ",Branch says weakly.

" You Let Her Go Right Now Or Else I'll Smash this!",Poppy threatened serious and angry.

Chef glares at Poppy angry and in disbelief.

" How did you get out?!",Chef says upset.

"Put Her Down!", Poppy yells angry.

Chef just laughs evilly at Poppy. He doesn't think Poppy has it in him to attack a Bergen. Chef steps back and tighten his grip on Branch.

" Then come at me,Prince! Come and rescue your Princess...", Chef says mockingly.

Poppy looked at Branch as Chef brought her up into his view. She is struggling to free herself. Then the two trolls lock eyes. Suddenly Branch's eyes widen in shock as she notices something.

"Poppy! Look Out!", Branch warns worried.

Before Poppy could react something hard hits him knocking him off the shelf! Branch gasp in shock! Poppy lands on his feet while still having the needle with strange liquid.

" Well,that was easy.",Troy says confident.

Then Troy looks down and realizes that Poppy was gone. Troy looks at his boss with a nervous look. Chef raises an eyebrow.

"You wouldn't had happen to see where he landed?", Troy asks nervous.

Then the Bergens spot Poppy a few feet away. Poppy smashes the needle on the floor. This definitely made Chef angry! Troy quickly grabs the small dart gun.

"NO!That was the last bit I had!", Chef yells angry!

Poppy uses his hair to whip Chef 's hand making him drop Branch. The male troll catches her bridal style accidentally ending up on one knee. That's when Poppy noticed Branch was naked and tied up! The pink troll's face becomes a dark pink.

" Shoot Them You Idiot!",Chef yells angry.

Troy shoots a dart but, misses Branch and Poppy by six inches! Poppy runs for cover by the bin while carrying Branch bridal system. A dart hits the bin. By the bin is table/cabbert and Branch's clothes are dangling off it. They all fall off and land on the floor. Poppy quickly uses his hair to grab and pulls them to his hiding spot.

"Well,I didn't think it would be like this...", Poppy comments honestly.

Branch just ignores the comment. She doesn't have her full strength back and is embarrassed. Poppy,still blushing, quickly unties Branch from the string. Then Branch gets an idea as Poppy removes the string from her ankles.

" What if we get Troy to shoot Chef with a dart?",Branch suggests.

Poppy smiles at Branch. After Branch is dressed, both trolls run out from their hiding place. Poppy gets onto the center table.

"Hey! Over Here!", Poppy shouts then ducks and runs as a dart comes his way.

Branch pops up by a chair. She waves her arms in the air.

" Hey Goon! Shoot me!",Branch yells.

Branch runs to the right as the dart hits the chair leg! Poppy yells "Missed Me!" as jumps onto the floor. Chef tries to catch Poppy with a container but, keeps on failing. Branch whips Troy making him shout. Soon both Troy and Chef are too angry to think! Poppy and Branch make faces at Troy while standing in front of Chef's feet. Troy shoots two darts but,both trolls run in opposite directions. The darts hits Chef's left calf!

"YOU KNUCKLE - HEAD! YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT!", Chef yells.

Troy drops the Dart gun onto the floor then Branch and Poppy grab it with their hair. Chef's body hits the ground! Troy realizes what he just did! Branch and Poppy shoot three two darts at Troy together. They hit his arm causing the Bergen to look at the two trolls.

" You...Trolls... Are pains to have around! ",Troy says before fainting.

Troy lands on his back. Poppy jumps up and down celebrating while Branch goes digging in Chef's pockets. She manages to find some boat keys. The two trolls use the vents of the room to escape the building. They are both excited. They actually might pull off their escape. The trolls get out of the building then runs fast to beach! The speedboat is still there! No Bergens are around too!

Branch and Poppy get on the boat quickly. Poppy puts a key in the keyhole while Branch checks the supplies on the boat. The pink troll turns the key causing the engine to roar.

" Do we have fuel in the engine?",Branch asks.

Then suddenly another one of Chef's goons yells at the two trolls.

"Looks like we have to go now!", Poppy says as Branch puts something heavy on the gas patel.

The boat takes off fast as the goon shoots a bullet at the boat! Poppy and Branch try to steer the boat together. Soon the bullets have stopped coming. Branch removes the heavy object from the gas petal. The two trolls are now on open sea. The speedboat slowly stops. The pink troll looks down and sees Branch sit down against the right side of the boat. She seemed to be taking a moment to think everything over. The male troll frowns so he turns off the engine quickly and gets the Angkor in the sea. Poppy walks up to Branch.

" You okay?",Poppy asks getting Branch's attention.

"I don't know... I'm just catching my breath and rethinking my life. I have lost my childhood years when I was little girl and I lost who knows how long time of my life... Maybe I'm living my life wrong... What if things just get harder? ", Branch says honestly.

Poppy sits next to Branch. He reaches out for her hand and holds it. Branch seemed sad to him.

" You'll be okay...I just know it. Your the strongest woman I know. We'll get our lives back and we'll be stronger than before! ",Poppy says comforting.

Poppy could always see the bright side. It gave her comfort sometimes to know that.

" Thankyou for everything...Your the best thing that ever happened to me!",Branch says honestly.

Then she puts her head on Poppy's shoulder. A happy smile spreads across Poppy's face. His heart warms and skips a beat.

"Your welcome... Your the best thing in my life too!", Poppy says honestly.

Moments later, Branch is driving the speedboat slowly as Poppy tries to call for help on the radio. The male holds the black boat radio as he talks.

" Hello? Is there anyone there? ",Poppy say hopeful.

At first there was response but, when Poppy was just about to talk a voice came out!

" This is the Coast Guard. Who am I talking to?", the male voice.

"I'm Poppy and with me is Branch. We have been trapped and held captive on Green Star Island for a long time! We had escaped on a Bergen speedboat traveling west from the island! Please help! According to Branch;we don't have a map,the fuel will run out soon and our supplies are limited. Please help,sir! ", Poppy says worried and hopeful into the radio.

Branch and Poppy look at each other as they wait for a response from the Coast Guard. They are nervous! Then they heard wonderful news from the radio.

" Roger that! Don't worry sir! We will come to get you both ASAP! ",the Coast Guard says.

Branch and Poppy is very happy now! They express how happy they are then hug each other. Then they both accidentally fall down onto the boat floor. Poppy ends up on his back with Branch on top of him. Poppy has his arms around Branch's waist. Branch has her hands on Poppy's chest. They both blush as they look at each other embarrassed. The radio makes a noise.

" Hello? Are you two okay? We heard a 'thump'...",the Coast Guard says.
