Fairytale AU

Branch has been going to the next balls in secret. She and Poppy have been spending lots of them together at the balls. The two trolls had talked so much that they have gotten closer with sparks flying between them. Branch has become happier and smiles more often. Her grey appearance had become faint and greyish version of her true colours. The critters have noticed that Branch has been acting differently but,they  weren't the only ones.

Creek and Mr Guffin had noticed this as well. The two trolls are a little supisous of this. They also been trying to spy on  the mystery troll who has been taking the Prince's attention away every time she steps into the ball for six nights straight! Mr Guffin tried to talk to her but,Branch always manages to avoid Mr Guffin. She didn't want him to figure out it was her because, she knows he has gotten a little suspicious of her at the balls. Luckily for her he wouldn't think it was her cause she has her true colours at the balls.

Branch sweeps the attic floor with dreamy look in her eyes. There is a smile on her face. She daydreams about Poppy. Without knowing it Branch starts waltzing with the broom as she sweeps. Some of the critters help her sweeps but,then they slowly stop as they notice Branch waltzing. She moves gracefully with her eyes closed.

Meanwhile in the castle garden,Poppy sits on a wooden bench. He has a dreamy look in his eyes and smile on his face as well. He daydreams about Branch. The Prince let's out a happy sighs.

"Can't wait to see her again...", Poppy admits honestly and in love without knowing that he is in love.

Soon it is night and ball has started. Branch walks into the ballroom in her special clothes. Prince Poppy quickly walks to her excited. He immediately hugs her while greeting her happily.

" Poppy,you act like you have not seen me in long time." Branch comments playfully.

Then Poppy let's out a laugh as he breaks the hug. The Prince takes a hold of Branch's hand with a sweet smile. Soon they start dancing getting lost in their own world. Queen Peppy notices that Poppy is with Branch again with a look on his face that she immediately recognized. Peppy is no fool to what is going on. She had noticed the two have something going on between them. It is clear that her son has fallen in love with Branch. She smiles at how happy they look together.

"There's something I want to show...", Poppy says excited.

The blue troll looks the prince confused. Poppy takes her to the Royal garden. Branch is even more confused. She didn't understand what Poppy wanted to show her here. The Prince guides her to the middle of the garden to a secret place of the garden.

" Poppy?",Branch asks confused.

The troll Prince turns to her with his smile still on his face.

"Close your eyes!", Poppy says softly.

" Why?", Branch asks confused.

"Just trust me...", Poppy encourages.

Branch nods her head then closes her eyes. Poppy is still holding her hand. He guides her into the most beautiful part of the garden. They in front of the bench. Poppy smiles as he tells Branch to open her eyes. She is amazed by the beauty of the garden.

" This is beautiful! ",Branch exclaims.

' Not as beautiful as you...',Poppy thinks.

The two trolls look around at the garden a little then sit on the bench. They talk for a hour completely lost in their own world.

" I honestly forgotten that I have to pick girl at the end of the ball.",Poppy admits.

"Well,whoever you choose will be lucky.", Branch replies honestly.

Poppy just smiles at her. Then an idea hits the Prince's head.

" How about you and me dance right here,right now?",Poppy suggests.

The blue troll looks at him confused.

"But,there's no music..." Branch points out.

Poppy let's out a small laugh.

"Then we'll make own music.", Poppy replies happily.

Poppy pulls Branch up then they gets in position for another waltz. Poppy starts off singing to Branch as they dance. Soon Branch starts singing as well. Their eyes are locked with loving looks in them. Then they stop dancing without breaking their gaze. The two trolls lean their heads forward then share their first kiss. Soon they break the kiss but, before they could do anything else the clock tower starts to make itself known!

Branch gasps in shock as she notices how close it is to midnight! She gives Poppy a apologizing look as she talks.

" I'm sorry Poppy but,I have to go!",Branch says before she takes off running away!

Branch runs into the castle ballroom then out the castle fast. Prince Poppy chases after her. He didn't want to leave! One of Branch's slippers gets stuck on the stairs as she runs down. Branch turns to look at her shoe. She quickly takes her foot out and picks up the shoe.

"BRANCH!WAIT!", Poppy yells from inside the castle.

Branch quickly looks up to see Poppy coming out the castle. She decides to give him a clue to find her. She throws the slipper which the Prince stops to catch. Then the Prince looks at the shoe then he looks up to see that Branch and her carriage is completely gone! Poppy's heart drops as he realizes that the troll of his dreams is gone but, then he looks back her golden slipper.

" Wait! I can use this to find her!", Poppy says hopeful.

The next day,announcement is sent throughout the kingdom and to other kingdoms Royal Families as well. Prince Poppy will find Branch by having every maiden try on the slipper and answer a few questions. Many female trolls tried on the shoe and guessed the answers to the questions but, none of them passed the tests. Some of them even tried to make themselves look like Branch but, Poppy could easily tell that they are not Branch. He knew after the balls that she would be grey again which she told him about.

Later at the mansion, Branch is cleaning up the second floor halls. Then suddenly Creek and Mr Guffin walk to her talking up a storm. Branch hears everything! She feels so happy that Poppy is looking for her!

"You have to get Creek ready for the Prince!", Mr Guffin orders.

But, Branch is out of it. She immediately focuses on the last four words. Mr Guffin talks to Creek about how she must use her charms to get to the Prince.

" Get ready for Poppy... ",Branch says softly to herself then starts walking away.

Creek rushes to her bedroom to find the perfect dress. Then Mr Guffin notices Branch walking away speaking softly to herself. He gets suspicious so he follows her quietly. Soon Branch is in her bunker brushing her hair until it is nice and neat. After Branch is finished getting ready,she gets out of her bunker then starts walking slowly to the mansion. She talks to some of her critter friends about the Prince and her. Mr Guffin hears it then throws a rock at Branch! It hits her hard causing her to fall! The critters gasp in shock. Mr Guffin walks up to Branch angrily!

" So you think your so smart stealing the Prince from my Granddaughter? Listen here! When the Prince comes you will break his heart and he will take Creek with him to his castle!",Mr Guffin says angrily.

Instead of agreeing,Branch snaps at the old troll as she gets back up! There is no way she is going to on purposely hurt Poppy! And she is not going to let Creek take him away form her! She loves Poppy and is not going to give up on him!

"NO! You can push me around all you want but, I Am Not Hurting Poppy And I Don't Care About What You Want Me To Do!", Branch snaps angrily.

Mr Guffin then strikes Branch! The two trolls fight each other. The critters try to help Branch but,they ended up flying into a bush. Mr Guffin chokes Branch with his hair. The grey troll struggles to fight back and to free herself. Then suddenly Branch blacks out.

A half-hour later, Branch wakes up in the mansion attic gasping for air! Then she looks at the door and hears it lock! Branch realizes where she is as Mr Guffin talks.

" You are never going to see the Prince! Creek will marry him while you rot in there!", Mr Guffin says evilly.

Mr Guffin walks down the stairs as Poppy's royal carriage stops in front of the mansion. He can hear Branch bang against the attic door. Then he walks away to the bottom floor of the mansion. Branch's glow bug friends immediately fly up the stairs to the attic concerned.

"Branch! How do we get you out of there?", Glimmer says.

Branch stops hitting the door.

" Get the key! Mr Guffin probably has it!",Branch says from the other side.

The glowbugs nod to each other then fly down to the bottom floor. They quickly hide so they don't get caught. In the entry room Prince Poppy sits on a chair while talking to Mr Guffin. Creek is trying to put on the shoe for the second time! It does not fit.

"Hmm,it must had gotten smaller.", Creek lies.

Poppy shakes his head and takes the slipper back. He puts it in his hair.

" Just ask me the questions,please.",Creek says to the Prince.

The glowbugs notice that the attic key is sticking out of Mr Guffin's hair. Blaze flies out quickly to Mr Guffin without getting noticed. Blaze pulls out the key slowly then flies back to the others. They cheer quietly for Blaze then they all fly back to Branch as fast as they can!

Prince Poppy sighs. He is sure that Creek is not Branch for a fact because, she tried to steal his attention from Branch a few times.

"How was that golden slipper lost?", Poppy asks.

" It just slipped off...", Creek guessed.

Poppy remember how it happened differently and plus Branch didn't really lose it.

"What happened in the garden during the last ball?", Poppy asks

Then suddenly Branch walks down the stairs between the first and second floors while answering the question loudly.

" You and me talked for a while. After that we danced under the stars while singing together. Then we kissed.", Branch says happily.

Poppy turns around surprised. He sees Branch standing at the bottom of the stairs smiling at him.

"Branch?", Poppy says smiling.

Branch nods her head to him. Poppy runs immediately walks to her eager.
Mr Guffin and Creek stare at the happy couple angrily. The Prince gets onto one knee then takes out the golden slipper. He puts one of Branch's feet into the slipper. It fits perfectly. Then Poppy gets up and pulls Branch into a loving kiss. They pull away happily with in love looks in their eyes. Branch's true colours come back slowly as she admits her feelings to her Prince.

"I love you.", Branch admits.

" I love you too.", Poppy admits.

Poppy and Branch start dating for a few years. Branch had found about her inheritance and claimed it. She had also moved into the castle. Poppy thought it would better for her since Mr Guffin gave her a terrible life. Mr Guffin and Creek were left without the riches they once had and live life unhappily like they did before Rosiepuff's death. Then the happy couple got married and lived happily ever after.
