Bliss showed them some corals outside of town.

The corals were whitening.

Some other Techno Trolls looked with concern.

One of them asked, "What do you think happened?"

Trollex replied with horror, "I don't know. This is terrible!"

But, another then asked, "Hey, is anyone else hot?"

They looked at him, but then Bliss said, "Wait...That might be it."

Trollex asked, "What do you mean?"

Bliss said, "I think the corals are...bleaching. This only happens when the water temperature gets too hot."

They then noticed that the bleaching was spreading, turning the coral white.

Bliss said, "Your Majesty, if the bleaching gets too severe, the coral might die."

Everyone gasped with horror.

One of the others gasped again, "Your Majesty, Techno Reef!"

Trollex gasped and then they started swimming back.

Trollex said on the way, "We must hope the corals of Techno Reef survive this. Otherwise, the corals may die and life in Techno Reef will never be the same. Our parties will be without color or light. Our way of life will change forever...and not in a good way."

TBDB then asked, "What about the Heart of the Reef? Can't that do something to stop this?"

Trollex answered, "I'm afraid it can't. The Heart of the Reef was meant to protect us from evil. I don't think it can save our corals from a problem caused by unnaturally extreme heat."

Trollex then turned to his people, "Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this?"

Bliss said, "We must find a way to make our ocean cooler. It's our home's only hope."

Trollex said, "Ok, everyone hurry home and get as many ice cubes as you can. We'll try and spread them around Techno Reef. Hopefully, that'll buy us some time. And, quickly!"

Everyone did as he said.

They all went into their freezer and grabbed every last ice cube and brought them to the center of town.

Once they all made it, Trollex ordered them to spread them around Techno Reef.

But, it was no use.

It wasn't enough to even bring the ocean temperature down one degree.

One of the guards went to Trollex, "Your Highness, it's not working. It's too hot."

TBDB then frantically asked, "What are we gonna do then?"

Trollex said, "Let's not panic. There must be some way to fix this."

Trollex then felt the eagle pendant around his neck.

He then got an idea.

He told the guard, "Tell everyone to keep working."

The guard responded, "Yes, Your Majesty."

Once he left, TBDB asked Trollex, "You've got a plan?"

Trollex responded, "We can't do this alone. We need help. And I'm gonna go get it."

TBDB realized he was gonna go out, "But...what about the heat?"

Trollex responded, "There's no choice. I'll be back, but don't tell anyone where I'm going. They might want to follow me."

TBDB hesitated, but then agreed.
