Hip-Hop-Crastination (Part 1)

Poppy was teaching a class.

Tiny said to his classmates, "Man, school is da bomb!"

A Funk kid said, "Yeah. And maybe after this, we could go for cupcakes."

A Rock kid said, "Sick! I'll have a double-midnight chocolate fudge with chili pepper frosting."

The others went, "Eww."

Tiny then said, "Well, as long as we getting cupcakes, who cares?"

Poppy then announced near the end of class, "Ok, class. Take out your pencils and write down today's assignment."

Tiny said, "Man, there goes the plan for fun today."

Poppy said, "Don't worry. This assignment is...semi-easy."

Tiny really didn't like the sound of it now.

Poppy continued, "All you have to do is write an essay on what not to do at a Pop party."

Tiny then said, "I guess that can be done."

Poppy then said, "In no less than 200 words."

Tiny said, "Maybe."

Poppy finished with, "Due tomorrow. And remember, class: Work real hard and just for tonight...no goofing off."

When the kids got out, a Techno kid said, "Maybe we can go for cupcakes tomorrow. But for now, I just gotta get home and do the essay."

The other kids agreed.

Even Tiny said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I will soon free myself from the homework chains by writing my paperwork."

Guy was telling his son, "Alright, son. Remember, no goofing off. The sooner you get this essay done, the more time you'll have to play today."

Tiny responded, "Yeah, no problem, Daddy."

Tiny then set himself up in his mini-pod to start working.

He said to himself, "I am about to write the greatest essay of all time. Like most great essays, it shall be written...on paper."

He pulled out a couple pieces of paper.

He then said, "Even more important than the paper is...the pencil."

He took out his pencil and said, "Hmm. Funny. As my ideas grow, you shrink."

He then looked out the window, "And this day shall not be wasted to arm exercise."

He then prepared to start.

"Ok, here we go."

He started writing.

"'What not to do at a Pop party'. Hey, this is easy! 'By Tiny Diamond'."

He was clearly proud of his work so far.

"This essay is pure gold."

Guy overheard him, "Glad to hear you're doing ok so far, son."

Tiny responded, "Thanks, Daddy. Won't be long 'till I'm done."

Guy then left him alone to finish.

Tiny said to his pencil, "And now, pencil, get ready to do your stuff because here we go."

Tiny put his pencil on his paper to start more writing.

A couple of hours had passed.

Guy decided to check in on Tiny.

"Tiny, is everything ok?"

Tiny had the pencil on his paper.

But, the pencil wasn't moving.

Tiny responded, "Man, this is harder than I thought."

Guy said, "Well, I want you to come to the table for dinner when I call."

Tiny responded, "You know it, Daddy."
