On a beautiful morning at the beach, a whirlpool viciously twirled around the water as it moved around the sea. Rhythm, Blues, and Laguna gave a quick chase after it with a motorboat.

"We can't let this whirlpool get away, B, Laguna, McJagger!" Rhythm said, "Our research depends on it!"

"That's right, sister!" Blues agreed.

"And I've got just the soundtrack to accompany this moment as together, we overcome the odds!" Laguna declared as she switched on the music from the boombox.

When the motorboat sped up, the four Trolls were heading straight towards the whirlpool.

"Almost there!" McJagger stated as the Trolls narrowed their eyes, coming in closer to the targeted whirlpool, "Almost there!"

When the motorboat entered the area of the whirlpool, it spun around, following the current of the water as the four Trolls cheered on, "Ah! Oh, yeah!"

Rhythm, Blues, Laguna, and McJagger thought they succeeded to get what they were looking for, but the whirlpool slowed down, and disappeared under them "Oh no!"

"Switching soundtrack to punctuate our disappointment," Laguna said as she played the 'wah-wah' sound effects.

"Trolly moley!" Holly shouted as the other Trolls were at the beach, watching in concern for the three Trolls, "Why was y'all four on thay ...uhh waters when there were ayy dangerous wherlpool out there?!"

"We were testing our hairpothesis about what lies in the eye of the whirlpool," Rhythm started to explain.

"Last night, before we went to sleep, R and I found an interesting fact on the internet that there's one place where a normal silky hair like ours can change into something different," B added.

"And when we say different, we mean the true hair of the Techno Trolls," Laguna clarified.

"Normal Techno Trolls? You mean our hair?" Trollex touched his own hair, "That's not so surprising because we already have this kind of hair."

"Note: Your majesty, not my hair. My hair was silky like the other Trolls around," the antrollpologist pointed.

"Oh yes, yours are not optical fiber threads," the Techno king nodded.

"Exactly!" Rhythm and Blues exclaimed.

"When we read about that interesting fact, the eye of the whirlpool is a place where our silky hair will turn into optical fiber threads, like a Normal Techno Troll hair," McJagger explained.

"Wow!" The other Trolls awed in such an amazing discovery, and it'll be amazing to see the non-Techno Trolls' hair became optical fiber thread like the Techno Trolls.

"Only problem is, no one can predict a whirlpool early enough to get to one in time," Blues confessed.

"Aaaawwww!" The other Trolls frowned.

"I know one Troll who can predict a whirlpool ...," A familiar voice spoke behind the crowd of Normal Trolls as they moved aside to see Melody behind them, "My best friend, Aggie Galido"

"Since when did you know that?" Val asked.

"She told me a lot. I'm her best friend, after all," the half-Pop/half-Rock Troll replied.

"But, I'm her boyfriend!" Trollex cried, feeling left out that his girlfriend never told him anything.

"Well, she wanted to tell you everything, but she was... a bit ashamed of something related to that topic."

"Ashamed of what?" Poppy inquired.

"It's better that you should ask her."

Later, the Normal Trolls went to the dining hall of Phaigong Beach Resort where Aggie was eating some seafood.

"It's true. I did have a predilection for whirlpool predictions before I got my psychic visions," Aggie admitted while drinking a glass of soda, "If a whirlpool started swirling, my hair would twitch, telling me right where it's gonna be."

"Hey, just like my haer-i-cane preydicshun!" Holly pointed.

"Aggie, do you know what this means? You can help us get into the eye of a whirlpool and find..." Before Rhythm can finish, Aggie cut her off.

"Let me guess: your hair will transform into optical fiber threads, like the Normal Techno Trolls'."

Rhythm, Blues, Laguna, and McJagger gasped.

"I had the same notion once. In fact, it was my dream to see it back in my whirlpool chasing days," Aggie confessed before frowning, "But, I don't tell that story much anymore."

Prince D then patted her back, "Aw, Aggie, you don't need to tell that s-"

But Aggie insisted on telling that story anyhow, "There I was, in the awe-inspiring waves of the swirling beast!"

*Flashback*

A giant, fast, and vicious whirlpool swirled round and round at the Harmonic Ocean just a few miles away from the shore of Anticque.

"Maelstrom Harmonicstraumen!"

Young Aggie, around 8 years old, noticed the giant whirlpool at the spot as she hopped on the boat, and drove it towards the swirling water, "Woo-hoo!"

"The biggest kind of whirlpool there is!"

When young Aggie got closer, she lost control of the motorboat as it sped up, and crashed onto large rocks, throwing Aggie into the waves of the whirlpool.

"But I got trapped in the vicious outer water!"

Young Aggie nearly drowned as she tried to swim to survive

"So, when that whirlpool finally let me be..."

When the swirls of the whirlpool threw Aggie back to the shore, she realized she was covered by sea urchins, jelly fishes, puffer fishes, crabs, lobsters, and other painful sea creatures all over her body

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed in pain.

*End of Flashback*

"I spent 5 months in the hospital to take all those sea creatures off of me. I even celebrated my birthday there," Aggie cried, "Oh, I've been too afraid to go inside another whirlpool ever since, so I gave up my dream."

"I'm so sorry," McJagger felt pity for Aggie.

"After something like that, we understand if you don't want to help us find a whirlpool," Laguna said.

Aggie chuckled, "Oh, I'm not going in, but you best believe I'm gonna help you find it."

"Say what?!" Rhythm, Blues, Laguna, and McJagger exclaimed.

Aggie then popped up between them, "Two conditions. Condition the first, we only chase small whirlpools. And second, when you get inside that eye, with your fiber optic hair looking all tall, gorgeous, and glowing, you say a little yeah for Aggie Galido."

"Ken ay come with ya? ay mean wherlpool isn't like ayy haer-i-cane, but ay wanna see my hauurr would be like thay ...uhh Techno Trolls," Holly pleaded to come with them.

"Well, if it's okay we do, then... welcome to the club," Blues said.

"Hot dang!" The Country Troll cheered.

Poppy then saw the face of her fiancé as she asked, "How about you, Branch? You wanna join them?"

"Well, I..." Branch cringed as the other Trolls stared at him. He didn't want to admit how he felt at first, but he groaned in defeat, "I'm more of a safety guy, but I think I could give it a try."

"Great. The more, the merrier then!" Rhythm chuckled.

"Do any of you wanna join?" Aggie asked.

But the other Trolls didn't answer while glancing at each other. Some didn't want to go because they wanted to relax from adventuring for a moment.

Trollex then raised his hand, "I know my hair was already like this, but as king, I want to make sure you Trolls have safe whirlpool chasing."

Aggie shrugged as she won't stop his boyfriend from being concerned. Just then, her hair twitched as the tips of every strand pointed to the left where the ocean is, and where the whirlpools started forming "Ooh, oh, oh, there she goes! My hair's already twitching!"

"We're going whirlpool chasing!" Laguna yelled as the other Trolls cheered.

Aggie, Rhythm, Blues, Laguna, McJagger, Holly, Branch, Trollex, and Melody were at the shore when they saw the swirling waves of the whirlpool ahead as they got on the motorboat to chase it.

Aggie: Hear the crashing of the ocean!
Time to start our mission!
Won't back down till we're inside!

All: Yeah, we will keep on trying!
On and on, we won't stop fighting!
Never give up, never give up, till we're inside the eye!
The currents intensify, they drag us down, but we keep rising!
Never give up, never give uh-up! Till we're inside the eye of the whirlpool!

The Trolls tried to catch the whirlpool as fast as they could, but when they got closer, the whirlpool just changed direction and disappeared. Laguna played the 'wah-wah' sound effect again.

"How can we get inside the whirlpool when it won't stop a-movin'?" Blues asked.

"Not to mention a-groovin'?" Rhythm added.

"Yup, it's a tough cupcake to frost," Melody commented.

Holly tried to think of something, but she suggested, "Here, ever'one take ayy thinkin' lasso ayn' give it ayy twerl," she took out ropes for each Troll, and they all started twirling them around to think.

After a minute, Trollex had an idea before turning to his girlfriend, "Aggie, what if you should use your water magic to keep the whirlpool from moving?"

Aggie's eyes widened in panic, "What? But Trollex, my water magic wasn't fully trained yet. I have to meet up with my relatives so they can train me."

"I know, but maybe you can at least try to control water before you can train. Just a little bit practice so you can control them," The Techno King suggested.

Aggie thought this over of what her boyfriend said. She wanted to train water magic, but she has to, at least, try to control it. She sighed, "Alright, I could try,"

The other Trolls cheered, showing their support for Aggie. Just then, Aggie's hair twitched as her hair tips pointed where the whirlpool will appear, "Oh, oh, oh! That way, y'all! A nice one's forming!"

Following Aggie's direction, Rhythm stirred the motorboat as the Trolls gave chase on the whirlpool.

Once they were close enough to the area of the whirlpool, Blues exclaimed, "We got it!"

"Now, Aggie!" Branch declared.

Aggie clenched her fists, which started to glow with blue aura, and pointed them on the water. Aggie tried to keep the whirlpool from moving as hard as she could. She hadn't controlled water before; let alone the time her magic unleashed and couldn't control any of the basic elements of magic. But then, when Aggie opened her hands, still having a blue aura around them, she opened her eyes, and they glowed blue before it faded, making her control the whirlpool from moving away from them.

The Trolls cheered that they successfully caught a whirlpool, thanks to Aggie's first control of water magic. Rhythm, Blues, Laguna, McJagger, Holly, and Branch jumped out of the boat, into the water, and tied themselves some ropes around their waist so they could make it back alive before swimming towards the whirlpool.

"Here we go!" Holly said

"I'll hold it in place!" Aggie called, "You go get 'em, Trolls!"

This made the six Trolls stop as they glanced at each other, thinking that Aggie deserved to be in the eye of the whirlpool.

"But Aggie, it doesn't feel right doing this without you!" McJagger said.

"Yeah, this was your dream too! You've gotta come with us!" Rhythm added.

But Aggie shrunk down while shaking her head in denial, "No, no, I'm sorry, Trolls! It's too scary! If things went sideways and I got hurt again, well, I just don't think I could go through that pain again"

"Pain, huh? Mm, it's hard to argue with that. I know how that feels," Branch stated.

"Yeah, Aggie, if that's what you really want, we understand," Laguna added with pity.

The six Trolls then proceeded to swim to the whirlpool, and dove down into the water to find the eye.

"You did it, Aggie; you got them into the storm!" Melody told her best friend.

"Phew! Nothing left to do now, but wait," Aggie sighed in relief. Just then, her hair twitched as the tips pointed to the right. She gasped, "Oh, no, no, no! Another whirlpool!"

Another kind of whirlpool appeared from the right as it came towards them, and combined with the same whirlpool the Trolls caught

Trollex gasped as he guessed while witnessing the two whirlpools combining together, "They're combining into...."

The two whirlpools grew into a bigger, stronger, faster, and more vicious whirlpool.

Aggie gasped in horror, "A MAELSTROM!"

Just then, the ropes that held Rhythm, Blues, Laguna, McJagger, Holly, and Branch that were attached on the boat suddenly snapped. The six Trolls were trapped in the outer waves of the maelstrom as they screamed in distress.

"They're trapped in the outer waves!" Aggie exclaimed, "They're in danger now!"

"Someone's gotta go in and get them!" Trollex suggested

"Go in... a maelstrom?!" Aggie looked at the maelstrom in fear as she could see her friends trying to escape from the waves of the maelstrom, and screamed in panic.

Seeing her best friend was still afraid of her worst experience with whirlpools, Melody patted Aggie on the back, and said, "It's okay, Aggie! I'll go!" She then jumped off the boat, and swam towards the maelstrom.

"No!" Aggie shouted, not wanting to get herself in danger too. Aggie then looked down the maelstrom as she whimpered in fear.

Trollex then grabbed her shoulder to make Aggie look at him, "Aggie, you've got to do this! "That whirlpool already took away your whirlpool chasing dreams!" You can't let it take your friends too! And remember, there's nothing to fear except fear it—" But the maelstrom suddenly roared like a strong storm as it continued to swirl around, almost dragging the boat into the waves. Both Trollex and Aggie stirred the motorboat a little bit far from the maelstrom to keep themselves away from danger, "Actually, there's tons to fear but you should still do it!" Trollex continued in panic.

"Oh! No!" Aggie looked down back on the maelstrom memories flashed before her eyes. She remembered how she was suffering after the maelstrom incident, and was stuck in the hospital for 5 months. Back to reality, she saw her friends screaming in distress, struggling to survive and wanting to get out of danger. Aggie growled as she didn't want her friends to experience one of the worst things that ever happened to her, "My friends!"

"Aggie," Trollex called her as Aggie looked back at her boyfriend again, "You can do this. I believe in you," he gave her a small but romantic peck on her nose.

Aggie smiled at him before looking back at Melody, who was about to reach the waves of the whirlpool, "Mel, wait!" This caught Melody's attention as she stopped swimming, and looked at Aggie, "You can't go! You don't know the first thing about being inside of a whirlpool, but I do!" Aggie then dove into the water, and swam towards the whirlpool as fast as she could.

"Aggie, be careful!" Melody yelled.

"Aggie's coming, guys!" Aggie then caught herself around the maelstrom.

When Melody swam back to the boat, she then asked the Techno King, "What did you tell her?"

Trollex smiled proudly, "Something a king should say to his future queen."

Melody hopped back on the boat, all soaking wet, and sat beside Trollex while crossing her arms, "You two... are my favorite couple."

In the maelstrom, Aggie was searching for her friends. The friend near her was Holly. Aggie swam towards the Country Troll, and grabbed her in her arms.

"Oh! Thanks, Aggie," Holly sighed in relief that she's saved.

Aggie then searched for her other friends. She then noticed Rhythm and Blues held together while being caught around the swirl. Aggie unleashed a strong vine from her hands to get Rhythm and Blues to her. She then noticed McJagger screaming behind her as Aggie swam towards him, and caught him with an air ball before pulling him towards her. Aggie then noticed Laguna trying to fight the current of the maelstrom, but Aggie caught her with another strong vines from her Rock hand. And lastly, Aggie saw Branch's hair on the surface. Knowing that it was Branch, Aggie used her air magic to grab him, and pulled him towards her. Now, she has rescued all of her friends.

"Aggie! You came for us!" Rhythm cried happily.

"You betcha!" Aggie nodded, "It takes more than the crippling fear of a past trauma to stop Aggie Galido from rescuing her friends!"

"Right back atchu, Aggie!" Blues agreed.

"Now, let's get this little lovefest outside the whirlpool!" McJagger suggested.

"No, wait! Actually, Trolls, I was thinking we take it inside the whirlpool," Aggie winked.

"Wait, do you mean...?" Laguna wanted to guess as the other Trolls gasped surprisingly.

"Hair we go!" Aggie then held Laguna and Blues' hands together as the Trolls held hands with each other, and they all swam towards the eye of the maelstrom.

Once the Trolls landed safely on the dried ocean floor, everyone looked up in awe.

"Is this...for real?" Rhythm asked.

"We're..." Blues spoke.

"Inside the eye of the whirlpool!" Branch guessed.

It was quiet and calm, but it also had a peaceful and exciting vibe around them as there was water spinning around them, and the sea creatures were visible to see.

"Note: It's beautiful," Laguna commented.

With this beautiful sight, McJagger was hypnotized by the place as his right paw held Laguna's left hand. Realizing that they held each other's hand, Laguna and McJagger blushed and looked away nervously.

The other 5 Trolls just watched them while smirking.

"Yeah, yeah, let out those goo-goo eyes, and enjoy the moment!" Aggie teased.

Just then, something magical surrounded Aggie's hair as her friends noticed what was going on

"Aggie! y'all's hauurr!" Holly pointed.

Aggie's hair got lifted up, and transformed into that resembled optical fiber threads. The tips of her hair shone like stars. Her friends were fascinated of Aggie's new hair since her hair was all rainbow.

"Your hair!" Aggie gasped when she noticed her friends' hair were transformed too.

Holly, Laguna, and Blues' hair ties were removed to let their hair flow up to transform. When every Troll's hair resembled optical fiber threads, they also waved up like they were underwater and glowed like neon lights. The seven Trolls were amazed by their new hair because of the magic inside the eye of the giant whirlpool. Aggie took out her phone, and took a selfie of her and her friends with their new hair.

When the maelstrom gave in, it flooded the supposed eye of the whirlpool as the water pushed the Trolls up back to the surface as they swam up to catch some air. Their new hairstyles remained for a few more seconds before their hair returned to normal as they were wet. Holly, Laguna, and Blues tied their hair ties back around their hair.

Trollex and Melody were waiting for them on the boat as they drove their boat towards their floating friends.

"Trolls, are you okay?" Trollex asked.

"We're better than okay, King Trollex!" Laguna answered, "We made it inside the eye!"

"Thanks ta Aggie!" Holly elbowed Aggie's Classical arm.

"It was as magical as it was fleeting," Aggie described, "And the best part was getting to see it with my friends!"

The six Trolls were touched by Aggie's words as they gathered together for a group hug.

"Oh, I wish I could've seen it!" Melody sighed.

"Yeah, me too," Trollex added, "Even if my hair was already like this, I want to see the whole thing," Then he asked Aggie, "seriously how beautiful are you in there?"

"Oh, she was a beauty!" McJagger answered," "She's definitely the perfect Queen of the Techno Trolls."

The other Trolls laughed.

"Ooooh, if we head back to shore, I'm gonna punch you!" Aggie felt so embarrassed when McJagger discussed that kind of topic. Just then, even if wet, Aggie's hair twitched as the tips pointed ahead, "Huh? Oh, you guys still can!" The Magic Musical Troll said, "What do you say, guys? Wanna chase the next whirlpool together?"

"We can tell the others if they want to join us when we tell them everything," Branch recommended.

"Good idea!" Aggie exclaimed as they jumped back into the boat, "We really need a bigger boat for this."

The motorboat stirred to head back to the beach to tell the other Trolls if they wanted to join them to chase another whirlpool.

Finally, I made my own version of TrollsTopia episode: Hair-i-cane. Instead of Holly and hair-i-canes, this story is about Aggie and her experience with whirlpools whenever she visited Antique.

Inside the eye of the whirlpool, it transformed every non-Techno Trolls' hair in optical fiber, similar to the hair of the Techno Trolls. Laguna didn't seem to match her hair with the other Techno Trolls as it was appeared to be silky like the other Troll tribes.

Whirlpool is just a "small" vortex on the water, but Maelstrom is more powerful than whirlpool.

Maelstrom Harmonicstraumen is a Troll parody name of Saltstraumen, the strongest maelstrom in the world.
