One day at Cabatwand Comprehensive High School, Shimmer rushed over to her boyfriend, Yelon, a Magic Funk Troll, who was reading a book that he took from his locker.
Shimmer then covered Yelon's eyes from behind, and squeaked, "Guess who? She's sweet, adorable, and she's gonna get real mad if you get it wrong."
Yelon knew who that was as he turned around while Shimmer uncovered his eyes, "Hey, Shimmer."
"Hey! You win a kiss," Shimmer smiled as the two kissed, "Thank you very much. So, do you wanna hang out tonight?"
"Um... tonight's not really good," Yelon answered while shaking his head, and putting the book back in his locker.
Shimmer was a little hurt there, but she was suspicious about the "rejection", "Okay. I'm not gonna pry, you know. I'm not gonna be one of those girlfriends who's all up in your business."
"Okay, cool, Shimmer Thanks," Yelon patted Shimmer's shoulder before walking off
Just in the nick of time, Aggie, Silovay, Chin-Hwa, Tori, and Junet came by as Yelon left. Aggie also came to school to get her report car for the quarter.
"Oh, okay. Bye. Bye Yelon. Bye sweetie. I'll talk to you later, okay?" Shimmer waved goodbye at Yelon before whispering to her few cousins and friends, "Something is definitely going on with that boy."
"Are you and Yelon okay?" Junet asked.
"Oh, yeah, I'm fine. It's just that he's been acting weird all week," Shimmer pointed before asking the boys, "Silovay, Cousin Chin-Hwa, you're guys, what do you think's going on?"
"Whel, uh, nawmally, when ayy guy acts like that there, ay mean, it means he's done got something awful big on his maand. Or something awful small," Silovay answered.
"Uh, maybe he's just hungry," Chin-Hwa added
"Why do you answer when you really don't even know?" Tori inquired.
"We're sonyeondeul, it's what we do," The Magic K-Pop Troll answered as he and Silovay laughed while walking off.
Just then, Aggie stared blankly as she felt she had a vision.
She saw Yelon pulling out a small black box from his pocket.
"Check this out," He opened the box, revealing it to be a wedding ring, and showed it to Aggie.
"Oh my Trollness! Yelon, that is beautiful! Shimmer's gonna love it!" Aggie screamed happily.
After her vision ended, Aggie gasped smilingly as she held her breath, until she couldn't anymore.
"Girls!" She screamed excitedly.
Shimmer, Tori, and Junet asked, "What?"
"I know why Yelon has been acting so weird! Remember I told you guys on the phone that I can see the future?" Aggie asked as her three girl cousins nodded, "He bought you jewelry, Shimmer!"
"What?" Shimmer gasped as Tori and Junet squealed.
Aggie then continued the story of her vision, "And Shimmer. I'm the one that saw it, and said, 'Oh my Trollness! Shimmer's gonna love it!'"
Shimmer giggled in excitement, "I love it when you have visions, Aggie. "It's like...it's like my future is destined to come true only you can see."
"That's adorable! Now, listen up," Aggie wanted to reveal her plan, "I have to follow Yelon, okay? 'Cause I'm the only one who's gonna know what he got for you. And as your psychic cousin, you have to trust me to make this one come true."
"Right. Okay," Shimmer nodded, but the girls were just standing still, which made the Magic techno Troll look at her rainbow cousin confusingly, "Well? What are you waiting for?"
"Well, Shimmer, you didn't say 'Action!'" Aggie said as Shimmer rolled her eyes, but Junet laughed at this funny scene.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As she planned to follow her vision for her cousin, Aggie followed Yelon to another hallway.
"Well, hello, Yelon," Aggie greeted him casually, "Here we are, alone in the hallway, just you and me, and maybe, I don't know, something sparkly."
"Why are you talking like that?" Yelon asked.
"Why, whatever do you mean, you funny, funny boy?" The colorful Magic Musical Troll laughed hysterically.
"Look, Aggie, I'm going through kind of a weird time right now," Yelon said depressingly.
Aggie then advised, "Well...you should let it out. You know, it's not good to keep things in your heart, or your mind, or your pocket."
Yelon sighed as he realized he was caught off guard, "Okay, look, there's something I have to tell Shimmer, and I've been putting it off, and putting it off, and...I feel like I need to talk to someone."
"Ooh, ooh! You should talk to me! I mean, I'm the Master of All Music, I can give good advice and be trusted with good secrets.
"Okay, look. Check this out."
Just like in her vision, Yelon pulled out a small black box, and opened it, revealing a small wedding ring.
"Oh my goodness! Yelon, that is beautiful! Shimmer's gonna love it!" Aggie gasped while muttering to herself, "Okay, I'm in the vision now," she then turned back to Yelon, "That is a wedding ring. Are you gonna ask Shimmer to marry you?"
"No, it's not for her," Yelon corrected before kneeling down.
Aggie was shocked as she thought Yelon was going to ask her to marry him, "Whoa, whoa, Yelon, this is all so sudden!" "I mean, wow... I mean, sure, you know, you're an attractive guy, and...I... Come on, you're so young, you know, and Shimmer's my best cousin-friend, and I'm already taken, and...."
Yelon looked up to Aggie while arching his brow as he got up, "Guess I picked a bad time to fold my pants.
Aggie paused for a bit while glaring at him for making her think like a fool, "You think?"
Yelon rolled his eyes before explaining, "Look, the ring's for my father. He's getting remarried tonight, and I'm his best man."
Aggie now understood as she nodded smilingly, "Aw, how sweet. Why didn't you tell Shimmer about this?"
"There's more to the story," The Magic Funk Troll confessed before realizing it wasn't the right time, "Oh, man."
"What? What is it?" The Master of All Music asked.
"Look, Shimmer has to hear this from me, okay? So, you have to promise me you won't tell her," Yelon pleaded.
"I promise," Aggie held up a promised hand as Yelon pulled out two thumbs-up.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After school, when Aggie and Shimmer met up outside the school, Shimmer asked her cousin about Yelon, but Aggie kept her mouth while reading a good book all the way to Shimmer's home.
"Hey, Ags, you need to stop reading and tell me what's happening with Yelon," shimmer demanded while putting her bag down
"Shimmer, I'm sorry, man, I love this book! Catfield is so funny!" Aggie laughed while reading
"Aggie?" Shimmer inquired, "What is going on?!"
"Oh, okay, sorry. See the reason he threw the clock out the window is because he wanted to see time fly! Get it? It's so funny," Aggie chuckled as she thought Shimmer was asking about the book she read.
"Hey, Aggie?" Shimmer called as she got her cousin's attention, "You're gonna see something fly if you don't stop changing the subject and tell me what Yelon said."
"I'm sorry; I can't. I promised him I wouldn't say anything," Aggie put the book down.
Shimmer's jaws dropped, "Are you... Ags! When we were four, we made a promise that we would tell each other everything. So, which promise is more important?"
"Well, you are my best-cousin friend, and I'm probably not gonna see Yelon again, and you know, he didn't want to marry me."
The Magic techno Troll then exclaimed, "What?!"
But Aggie changed the topic as she noticed an animatronic Chicken head on the wall, "Is that clucky the Singing Chicken?" She started moving her hand, activating its motion detector, and causing it to start singing, "Ah, endlessly hilarious; it's so funny."
Shimmer then grabbed Aggie by the shoulder, "Okay, hey, Ags, I need you to rewind back to the marrying part You with me? Okay, yeah, and tell 'em how that part came up!"
"Well, I guess it all came up with the wedding ring," Aggie confessed.
"What?!" Shimmer gasped as she squealed, "There was a wedding ring?!"
"Yeah, it was just like in my vision, Shim, but before you get excited, it wasn't for you. Or for me," Aggie clarified, "It was for Elyssa."
"Oh, Elyssa. Who the heck is Elyssa?" Shimmer asked, feeling jealous that Elyssa might be another Troll for Yelon.
"Yeah, maybe I should start from the beginning."
"Yeah, uh, that would be nice."
"Okay, Yelon's dad is getting remarried to a woman named Elyssa, and uh, Yelon is his best man, so, that's why he's carrying the ring."
"Oh. Okay, so, um, Ags, let's get to the part about never seeing Yelon again."
Aggie then stopped at that part, "Um... Shim, that's the hard part he doesn't know how to tell you."
"You tell me!" Shimmer begged her to tell.
Aggie sighed as she did promise Yelon not to tell Shimmer, but she couldn't keep a secret from her cousin anymore, "Okay, Shimmer, um... Elyssa lives in Trollnnessee, and Yelon and his whole family are gonna move there."
Shimmer then became silent by this news. Trollnnesse was located far away from her home town, New Jelly. Trollnnessee was around Northwest of Harmonious Land, while New Jelly was somewhere near Southeast. Her love interest will be several hours away from her, "Trollnnessee?"
"Yeah, Shimmer, it's not that far," Aggie tried to cheer her cousin up.
"Aggie, it might as well be on the other side of Harmonious Land," Shimmer then sat on a stool, and started to sob.
Aggie slowly approached Shimmer, and placed her Rock hand on her cousin's shoulder, "I'm sorry, Shimmer," she then wrapped her arms around Shimmer to comfort her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later, while Shimmer was in her bedroom, eating a bag of cookies in despair, and Aggie was sitting on the floor, Silovay, Chin-Hwa, Tori, and Junet rushed into the room when they got Aggie's message.
"Hey, sonyeodeul, we got here as soon as I could. I can't believe Yelon's moving away," Chin-Hwa said
"It's my fault. What's the point of being psychic if I couldn't see this coming?" Aggie felt guilty that her ability couldn't do anything for her family.
"This here is messed up. He mighty should've done told ya, Shimmer," Silovay clicked his tongue in disappointment.
"Well, he wanted to, he just...he didn't know how," Aggie responded.
"How about stepping up and saying it?" The Magic Country Troll suggested.
"Well, come on, he didn't want to break her heart," Junet pointed.
"And this is better, Junet? A broken Troll searching for happiness at the bottom of an empty cookie bag?!" Tori asked.
As the Magic Rock Troll pointed, Shimmer emptied her bag of cookies as she ate the last one with chocolate cookies shimmered all over her face. Her friends and cousins cringe in disgust at her as Shimmer wiped the chocolate off her face.
"You're right, this is pathetic. I'm gonna take some action!" She said, "Gonna get more cookies."
Shimmer tried to get up off the bed, but her friends stopped her.
"Okay, you're right. I'm gonna call Yelon, and then I'm gonna get some more cookies!" Shimmer took out her phone from her pocket, and about to dial Yelon.
"No! Come on, no! Give me the phone!" Aggie quickly snatched the phone from Shimmer, "You are not calling Yelon, okay? Then, he's gonna know how I broke my promise and that I told you!"
"Well, what am I gonna do?! Sit here and do nothing?!" The Magic Techno Troll cried.
"It doesn't even mattuurr if ya talk ta Yelon, okay? His Pa is the one getting married," Silovay said.
"Well then, maybe I need to talk to his father!"
"And say what, 'I love your son, please don't move?'" Chin-Hwa guessed.
"Yeah! Why not? What do I have to lose? If he sees how much we care about each other, maybe he'll change his mind about moving!"
"Well, Shimmer, you better talk to him pretty soon," Aggie said.
"Well, why?" Shimmer asked.
"Because they're moving right after the wedding."
"Okay. When's the wedding?"
Aggie looked at her phone to check the time, "Well... uh, well, looks like right now."
"Oh Troll!" Shimmer panickily jumped out of bed, and rushed out of her room. But she returned after she realized she didn't know where the wedding was held, "Anybody know where the wedding is?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the courthouse of Merryland, Aggie, Shimmer, Silovay, Chin-Hwa, Tori and Junet arrived inside with Satin, Chenille, Minuet, Stereo, Demo, Buckaroo, and McJagger coming along to help, requested by Aggie herself when she called them before arriving at the courthouse. They were all hiding behind a huge bouquet of flowers.
"Okay. The ceremony's already started," Shimmer whispered.
"Remaand us why y'all ask us faw help?" Buckaroo asked.
"Just in case the plan might not work," Aggie replied.
Just then, two Trolls in formal clothes stood in front of the door of the courtroom. One was Yelon, and the other one was his Magic Funk Troll father.
"Ooh, Yelon is looking fine in that tuxedo," Shimmer squealed while Yelon and his father hugged.
"Okay, Shim, Shimmer, hey, hey, focus," Silovay snapped her out of it.
"Right, right, right, okay," the Magic Techno Troll nodded.
As they watched, Yelon walked inside the room since he's his father's best man, his father was still dancing at the door.
"Hey, his dad isn't going down the aisle yet," Chin-Hwa reported to Shimmer, "You still have a chance. Just don't let Yelon see you, okay?"
"Right!" Shimmer nodded as she quietly walked out from behind the flowers, and approached Yelon's father from behind, not before taking another bouquet of flowers to hide her face so Yelon wouldn't notice her.
"Mr. Carpin," Shimmer called quietly to get Yelon's father's attention, but to no avail, "Mr. Carpin!" Once again, he didn't hear her. Shimmer then yelped a bit, "Carpin!"
This startled Mr. Carpin as he turned to see Shimmer.
"You probably don't know me, but you've probably heard of me. I'm Shimmer," the Magic techno introduced herself to her boyfriend's father, "I don't really want Yelon to see me; it's kind of complicated. Some promises were made and—,"
But Mr. Carpin cut her off, "It's really nice chatting with you, but I kind of made some promises of my own," he started to walk down the aisle
"No, but I need to talk to you!" Shimmer quickly followed him while holding the bouquet that hid her face
"Well then, you better make it fast," Mr. Carpin pleaded.
"it'll only take a sec-woah!" Before Shimmer could explain, someone tripped her down to fall as Mr. Carpin successfully made it at the altar.
When Shimmer got up, she met face-to-face with a grey young female Magic Musical Troll who was yet to choose her music.
"Hello, Shimmer," she growled at her, "We meet again."
Shimmer recognized the young Troll as she grinned nervously, "Hey, it's Yelon's adorable little sister. How have you been, Yola?"
"I'm glad you're here. Now, we can say goodbye... forever," Yola smirked evilly as she threw a handful of petals at Shimmer before walking out of the room
Shimmer then rushed at the door to call her friends and cousins for help.
The Trolls came in, and Junet asked, "Hey, you work things out with Mr. Carpin?"
"No! I was this close, I just needed another second!" Shimmer said before facing the altar before Yelon could turn his head, and almost saw her, "Oh, golly! Down!" She instructed as the Trolls hid behind the seats, "I don't want Yelon to see us," she then turned to Minuet, Demo, Buckaroo, Tori, and Chin-Hwa, "Okay, you five, listen. I want you to stay here and stall. The rest of you guys, come with me. We're going to figure out our next move."
"All right-golly, duck, stall, move, got it!" Junet summarized the plan as the Trolls took action.
To think of something to stall the wedding, Minuet turned to see the organ at the other side of the room as she got an idea.
She flew toward the Magic Classical Troll pianist, and said, "I'm from the Organ Players Union. It's time for your break."
The pianist was confused at first, but he shrugged and moved out while Minuet decided to take over. She started by playing the baseball game music.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the dressing room, Aggie, Shimmer, Silovay, Junet, Satin, Chenille, Stereo, and McJagger quickly went inside to come up with a plan.
"Okay, guy, we have to figure out a way to get to Mr. Carpin, now think!" Shimmer said.
As the Trolls started to think of a plan, Stereo was thinking too hard as her face squeezed.
The other Trolls noticed this as they got worried, and Junet and McJagger shook the Normal Techno Troll to snap her out of her thoughts.
"Don't hurt yourself," Aggie told her.
Suddenly, a woman's voice was heard from the bathroom door.
"Mama, is that you?"
The Trolls gasped quietly while looking at the wedding gown that was hanging on the stand.
"It's the bride! It's the bride!" Silovay whispered before telling any of the Trolls, "Say something! Say something!"
"You gotta say something!" Aggie told Shimmer since it was her plan of coming here.
"Okay," Shimmer then cleared her throat, imitating the bride's mother, "Uh...yes, baby, it's me. I'm your mama. Uh, how you doing, child?"
"I'm gonna be awhile. It-It's my stomach, I shouldn't have had all those chili dogs at my bachelorette party," the bride groaned.
The Trolls winced in disgust as they knew how too much chili dogs caused a Troll's stomach.
"Oh, ew," Satin gagged.
"Gross," Chenille added.
"Nasty," McJagger added.
Shimmer then continued to imitate, "Um, uh, ok, baby, well, just take your time and, uh, your man is not going anywhere," Then, she turned to see the wedding gown while muttering herself, "Not going anywhere," then she took the gown from the stand, "He's just gonna.... stay right here," Shimmer then turned to the other Trolls with a smile on her face, "Guys."
McJagger gasped, "You wouldn't!"
"Then, I shouldn't," Shimmer said.
"But y'all must," Silovay told her.
"Then, I will."
"Are you sure?" Stereo asked.
"I don't know!" Shimmer gritted her teeth in panic. She's not sure if this is a good idea, but it might be the only way to get closer to Yelon's father.
"Well, sister, this must be the reason why we are needed here," Chenille said as Satin nodded at her in agreement, understanding what her sister said.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the courtroom, Yola has been suspiciously checking the ceremony, wondering why the wedding hasn't started yet, and the organ was played by a Normal Classical Troll.
Minuet was still playing the organ with Chin-Hwa, Tori, Demo, and Buckaroo watching over her so no one would mess her up. Minuet was playing the song, "If You're Happy And You Know It" with the visitors going with the flow.
Yola approached them, and said, "You're not the organ player."
Minuet turned to the young Troll, and scoffed, "Of course, I am, little girl. This is an organ, and I'm playing it."
"Well, it's time to play 'Here comes The Bride," Yola requested
"Ayn' if she doesn't?" Buckaroo glared at the young Troll as Minuet played scary music.
But a Minuet later, Yola shoved petals into Buckaroo, Minuet, Chin-Hwa, demo, and Tori's mouth before smirking at them, and walking off.
Minuet spat out petals from her mouth, and started to play the song, "Here Comes The Bride."
At the door, Shimmer stood there, dressed up as the bride as she noticed Yola was standing in front of her. Satin and Chenille were helping Shimmer wear the wedding dress back from the bride's room before taking off. Shimmer hid her face with the veil as they walked down the aisle with Yola throwing petals on the floor. Yelon, his father, and the Magic Classical Troll judge were waiting at the altar.
Aggie, Silovay, Junet, Satin, Chenille, Stereo, and McJagger snuck from the door as they approached the other five Trolls.
"Play fastuurr!" Silovay, much the other Trolls in the room's confusion.
Aggie then explained quietly, "Here's the deal: Shimmer kind of borrowed the wife's wedding gown, so if she doesn't go down the aisle in a hurry, things are gonna get ugly."
"Oh, I hear ya," Tori understood before turning to Minuet," You heard her. Play faster!"
Minuet nodded as she sped up playing the organ.
Yola and Shimmer just followed the pace of the music as they made it to the altar with Yola moved aside with her older brother, and Shimmer stood beside the groom.
The judge cleared his throat, and started the wedding, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman."
Now was her chance, Shimmer poked Mr. Carpin's shoulder, and whispered, "We have to talk."
"Honey, we're about to get married," Mr. Carpin said before chuckling with the judge, She's just a little bit nervous"
"Moving right along," the judge continued, "If anyone present has any objection..."
"Yeah, I do," Shimmer raised her hand
"Honey, the 'I do's' don't come till later," Mr. Carpin corrected before telling the judge, "Please continue with the ceremony"
"No, you can't!" Shimmer exclaimed as Mr. Carpin turned to her in shock, "I love your son!"
The Trolls in the room, except for Aggie and her friends, gasped in horror.
"No, you don't understand. I'm only 17," Shimmer corrected, still have her veil on.
The same Trolls once again gasped in shock.
"Ooh, no, no, no," Shimmer finally removed her veil, "I'm not the bride."
The Trolls sighed in relief.
"Shimmer?!" Yelon gasped to see his girlfriend in his future step-mother's wedding gown.
"Shimmer?!" Yola growled, wanting to attack Shimmer, but Yelon pulled her back.
"So, where's my bride?" Mr. Carpin asked angrily.
"Oh, there was a party... and some chili dogs..." Shimmer couldn't give a specific explanation, but she went straight to the reason why she was here, "but Mr. Carpin, I wanted to talk to you before you moved."
"Um...Yelon and I have something really special. And if you move to Trollnnessee, it'll be over, so, I came here to ask you, please, please, don't go."
"Wait, let me get this straight: you crashed my wedding, you stole the gown, you impersonate my bride, and then you just..." Mr. Carpin wanted to clarify things, but Shimmer cut it off.
"Ok, you know what? If you lump it together like that, it's gonna sound bad." The Magic Techno Troll pointed, "But if you separate it, and get to the root of the situation..."
Yelon then held his father's arm to get his attention, "Dad, can I have a second with Shimmer, please?"
"Just don't mind me. I'm just looking for my bride," Mr. Carpin said as Yelon approached Shimmer while the groom called for his bride, "Elyssa!"
Shimmer and Yelon moved to the side for their "private" talk.
"Shimmer, I know all of this is happening so fast, but, I mean, look at my dad. He's never been happier," Yelon said while pointing to his father, who was actually frowning with Yola and the judge comforting him, "Well, my point is, we're moving, and he's not gonna change his mind."
"Yeah, it's kind of crazy for me to come here, wasn't it?" Shimmer commented and shrugged, "I just had to give it a shot."
"Look, Shim, I'm sorry I didn't tell you about all of this. I was gonna come over and talk before we left," Yelon explained.
"We can talk now," Shimmer looked up to her boyfriend, almost crying.
"Okay, look, I think you're really amazing and I'll never forget you."
"Will I ever see you again?"
"I hope so. I love you, Shimmer."
"I love you too, Yelon."
The two shared a kiss and hug as the Trolls applauded at the sweet moment.
"Weddings always kind of make me cry," Demo sniffed while wiping a tear as Minuet started to play the song, "Wedding Marching".
But the moment interrupted when the judge whistled to halt everything, "Hold it! No one's gotten married yet."
"Seriously, has anyone seen Elyssa?!" Mr. Carpin asked impatiently for his bride.
The bride, Elyssa, a Magic Jazz Troll, marched into the room angrily with the crowd gasped in horror.
"She stole my dress and my husband!" Elyssa shouted.
"Yeah, I think I spotted her," Shimmer said. When Elyssa wanted to attack her, Shimmer quickly tossed the bouquet at the supposed bride, "Catch!"
Elyssa then caught her bouquet.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With Fashion Twins volunteered to help the bride wear her wedding dress, the wedding continued with Shimmer, Aggie, Silovay, Chin-Hwa, Tori, Junet, Satin, Chenille, Minuet, Stereo, Demo, Buckaroo, and McJagger sat on the seat at the back since they were technically uninvited and caused a lot of trouble with the wedding.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the judge announced.
The bride and groom shared a kiss, and all the Trolls applauded, except for Shimmer, who showed a long face that Yelon and his family were really moving, and nothing would stop them.
When Mr. Carpin and his new wife walked towards the door happily, Yola and Yelon followed, but not before Yelon stopped by in front of a very sad Shimmer to say his goodbye.
"Goodbye, Shimmer," he said sadly.
"Bye, Yelon," Shimmer sobbed.
Yelon knew how sad Shimmer was, but he had to stay with his family and he had to follow them.
Shimmer then started to cry, and her friends were still there, comforting her with Aggie hugged her real tightly, and Silovay patted her knee.
Yelon then shared a warm hug with his family and his new step-mom as Shimmer and her friends watched. The family then proceeded to leave. Yelon stopped and turned to Shimmer, sharing one final look with her before following his family.
Shimmer sighed sadly that she might never see her love interest again. There's nothing she can do. She has to accept it.
