In a rock climbing wall set up, among the Trolls partaking of this offering were Delta Dawn and King Quincy, the latter was a short distance off the ground. A rope ran from the harness he wore, up to the top of the wall's frame, and down to terminate at a belt around Delta's waist. Val stood behind Delta waiting.

"Rock climbing is all about perseverance and trust," Quincy declared, "Like this, I trust Delta Dawn to stop from falling."

But Val was getting impatient to try rock climbing, "Yeah, so you can totally go faster than you're going!"

"Val!" Delta scolded her.

"Sorry. I've been waiting to do this since we got here!" the Rock ambassador complained.

"Well, you'll have to wait a little longer," the Funk King said as he started climbing.

As Quincy shifted to higher footholds, Aggie and Melody walked up in good spirits.

"Oh, good, Aggie. If you spot me, I can finally go. I'll go get another harness!" Val said before running off.

Quincy suddenly lost his grip on a handhold, and almost whimpered in fear, paws windmilling madly as he tried to anchor himself again. He remained at his current height, though—Delta was doing her job as spotter—and he clutched at his harness rope as if it were a life preserver.

"I believe I'd like to come down now!" The Funk King called.

Down below, the Country leader flipped him a thumbs-up, and tried to pay out the rope running through her own harness and bring Quincy down. It didn't not budge, though, and her grunting exertions did nothing to alleviate the problem.

"Sawry! it's ayy little bit stuk!" Delta said.

And then, out of nowhere, her hands briefly glow a bright, sparkly orange before being covered with earth-like armor, and her next tug reels in several yards of the line. The hapless Quincy screamed as he underwent a sharp upward acceleration, nearly bashing his head on the top of the frame. Delta inadvertently let go with her hands returned to normal, sending the climber into free fall and giving her an excuse to work her lungs again. Only the mayor's last-second grab at the line, as it pulls free of her harness, saved the Funk King from meeting the ground at an uncomfortably high speed.

"DELTA DAWN! What are you doing?!" He shouted.

Branch took notice while he was talking to McJagger, "Is everything okay over there?"

Delta took Quincy down safely, "Uh...ey don't know what done happened! ay didn't even pull thay ...uhh rope that there awful hard! it's like he were laheet as ayy feathuurr all ov ayy sudden!"

"I was scared half to death!" The Funk king shrieked.

"It wasn't my fault! Let me help ya get y'all's harness off," Delta stepped forwards to help him.

"No, thank you!" Quincy held one of his paw's up.

This last was accompanied by a huge flashing ball of light flashed before his and Delta's eyes as it caused the mayor to startle and run backwards towards the ocean. The Country Troll was soaked from head to toe, spitting out water, and with her hat missing. She was, understandably, not at all happy at having been flung into the lake.

McJagger rushed to her "What in the world just happened?"

Quincy eyed his own paws, and said, "Oh! I am so sorry! I think. Did I just do...whatever that was?

"I'm gonna go get Aunt Delta a towel," Aggie heads off.

"Me too," Melody followed her best friend, and was positively ecstatic upon catching up. "What was going on back there? Was that you?"

"No, I didn't do anything. I didn't even try Light magic yet, and I noticed Delta's hands were armored by earth," Aggie admitted as she was also confused.

"How did that happen to Delta and King Quincy?"

"I'm not sure."

Just then, the two best friends heard two instantly recognizable cries of terror.

"R and B!" They two guessed as they ran towards the beach cabin that stood next to the main building of the resort.

They burst in as they saw some foreign substance spattered across the nearest portions of the wall, the floor, and some of the cabinets in a kitchen area.

"What happened?" Melody asked.

Every table and a good portion of the rest of the place are speckled with blobs of goop, as were Queen Essence, Rhythm, and Blues, standing at one table. Two shaker cans of glitter sit before Queen Essence, who is completely unfazed by the baking catastrophe; one can is missing its lid.

"We don't know! We were just decorating cupcakes, and—" Rhythm explained, but she was cut off.

"And I was just throwing glitter sprinkles on the cupcakes, when all of a sudden, they glowed purple and flashed with light!" Essence got a pinch of glitter sprinkles from the open can, and tossed it in the air.

Instead of dissipating in the air, it remained as a rough sphere, glows more brightly, and detonated to fill the place with bright white lights. The view cleared from the flash as Rhythm and Blues around stood frozen with arms up to protect their faces. Their hair has been blown almost straight back from the shock wave, and Aggie and Melody have fared no better. They too are now spotted with explosively redistributed cupcakes.

"Just like that," The Queen said.

"Ooookay. Why don't you lay off touching stuff for a while, Aunt Essence?" Aggie suggested while holding her paw.

"We really should clean all of this up, sister," Blues suggested as Rhythm nodded.

When Rhythm was about to grab a broom from the corner, her hand glowed purple as was the broom as it started floating.

"Whoa!"

The other Trolls' jaws dropped when they noticed the broom was floating and surrounded by a purple aura that matched Rhythm's skin color. Then, they looked around, noticing that the broom wasn't the only object that was floating, but almost every object around the room, like a mop, bowls, books, kitchen supplies, and other small objects. They were all surrounded by not just purple, but also yellow aura that matched Blues' skin color

"Did you... how was this possible?" Melody asked the Funk twin sisters.

Rhythm shrugged, "Beats us! I was just going to get a broom..."

"Everything was all floating around," Blues continued.

Queen Essence then suggested taking the twins outside as the objects fell off lifelessly as the purple and yellow auras around them disappeared when Rhythm and Blues left.

"That's strange. First, Aunt Delta has earth armor in her hands, Uncle Quincy can make a flash of light, Aunt Essence did the same with glitter sprinkles, and then R and B did telekinesis? This is some kind of... magic," Melody guessed.

Aggie gasped, "Magic? That's impossible. Normal Trolls can't do magic..., right?"

Just then, their suspicions interrupted when they heard a screaming in distress.

"Was that Papa Trollzart?" Aggie guessed.

With no moment to lose, Aggie and Melody rushed out of the cabin, and Queen Essence, Rhythm and Blues followed them, as did the rest of the Trolls on the beach.

They ran towards the garden in front of the resort where they noticed Dante and Minuet groaning in pain while lying down on the piano and bass violin respectively, and musical pieces of papers scattered all over the place.

"What's going on here?" Poppy asked.

"I don't know! We were practicing, and when I raised my baton to conduct, which was part of the practice, by the way, strong winds just blew all over my Trolls," Trollzart explained while demonstrating it by raising his baton, and waved both his hands, but more strong winds blew, blowing up the music pieces away.

"And our music pieces too!" Minuet cried while reaching for one of them

"Don't worry, I got them, I got them," Barb chased after the "runaway" piece as she got it, and showed it to everyone with a smile on her face. But all of a sudden, the fire sparked on Barb's fingertips that she held the music piece with, "What the—!"

"Fire! Someone put out the fire!" Tiny Diamond screamed.

"Barb, what are you doing?!" Trollzart shouted.

"I didn't do anything!" Barb tried to blow the fire off, but it kept growing.

Trollex then rushed in with a small bucket, "I got this!" When he threw the water from the bucket, instead of a small amount of water, the water now became a huge wave, and has more amount of water than a whole bucket.

Barb screamed as her whole body and the paper she was holding were soaking wet as the Rock Queen spat out some water from her mouth.

Trollex froze about what just happened. He knew he only put a small amount of water in a bucket, but when he threw it, it was like the whole ocean splashed all over Barb.

Synth chuckled excitedly as he never thought his twin brother has water powers like him, "Wow, bro, you have water powers too?"

"I... I didn't know I could do that," Trollex looked down at the bucket again.

"Oh no, my music piece!" Dante cried as he retrieved one of the wat music pieces, and blew it hard to make them dry. But the third time Dante blew, the wind became stronger, almost similar to the gustiness of Trollzart's wind that he unleashed.

The music pieces that Dante accidentally blew were flying all over the other Trolls as they tried to shield themselves.

Suddenly, when Laguna held her hands up, they formed a huge force-field made out of water around the other Trolls, protecting them from the flying papers.

The other Trolls thought they were attacked by flying music pieces, but they saw a water force-field around them, and were amazed by it.

Laguna opened her eyes, and noticed that when she held her hands up, the force-field appeared. Could she be the one who made this? Laguna put her hands down, and the force-field was disabled into normal water, making everyone all wet.

"'Guna, how did you do that?" McJagger asked his girlfriend.

"I... I don't know..." Laguna was doubting herself too.

"You know, what we need to dry up is a heater," Val said while playfully smacking Demo's back

But Demo screamed painfully when he felt Val's smacking was not an ordinary smack, but it was burning the spot of his back, "Oh, that's hot!"

Val and Demo noticed Val's handprint on Demo's back was shown, like it was made of burning material

"What the—" Val looked at both of her hands, and noticed that her hands were like a burning furnace, but she didn't feel any heat in her hands. She started to shake in panic.

"Ooh, that there ken heat things up, ya'll... like ayy marshmallow!" Holly laughed as Val didn't think it was funny, and slapped the Country Ambassador's arm, causing her to yell, "Ouch! hey, don't do that there!" Holly screamed angrily as she stomped her hoof, unintentionally causing her to form a high earth structure under Val, and lifted her up high, "Oops!" Holly then lifted her hoof as the earth structure shrunk back in the ground, and Val fell down with her head hit the ground first.

Buckaroo approached Val, and helped her get up, while Branch sat beside a hole where the earth structure emerged from.

"That was tricky," Branch thought on Magic Country Trolls can control earth, but he never saw Holly doing it. When he placed his hand on the ground, his hands turned green, and an adult treet slowly grew from the ground. Branch was startled as he crawled backwards, "Huh, what?"

The other Trolls gasped when they saw an adult tree just grew all of a sudden

"Branch, how did you do that?" Poppy asked.

"I was touching it, and that's it," Branch stated.

Poppy then took a good look at a tree as she placed her hand on its trunk. Her hand suddenly glowed pink, and a flower bloomed all over the tree, "Whoa!" the Pop Queen gasped.

Gust had to watch everything that happened as he started to question, "Alright, ken somebody tell us what is a-goin' on here?"

"We're still in the middle of that, to be honest," Melody confessed, "It's a long story, but to shorten things up, Queen Essence, R, and B have the same situation too back in the cabin."

"Seems to me this is a mystery, baby," Lownote chuckled as he fixed his glasses, but his glasses suddenly released a powerful bright light that hit Legsly and Biggie's eyes, almost blinding them, "Oh, I too have a mystery."

"We just have ta remove this here though befawe thay ...err managuurr sue us," Buckaroo suggested as she wanted to lift the tree off the ground, but he started carrying it, it only took a second for her to get the tree off the ground, including the roots, much to the other Trolls' disbelief.

Holly gasped, "Buckaroo, how done ya do that there?"

"Ay don't know. Ay nevuurr lifted an adult tree befawe," Buckaroo put the tree back on the ground, "It's like I'm getting stronger than I was before."

"It looks like... all of this is made of... magic," Smidge guessed.

"Magic?!" All the Trolls exclaimed.

"But we didn't have magic before!" Val pointed.

"We're Normal Trolls, our names made sense. And Aggie's tribe is Magic Musical because they have magic," Stereo stated.

"Yeah, and the only place magic exists in the world is Harmonious Land," Prince D added.

Dante then gasped loudly, Do you all realize what this means?! Being here in Harmonious Land is giving us all magical abilities!

"Not all of us have magical abilities. I haven't, Demo haven't, D, Gust, Clampers, McJagger, Stereo, Beat, Minuet, Prince D, Cooper, Biggie, Satin, Chenille, Guy Diamond, Tiny Diamond, Smidge, Legsly, and, Suki. We're the only ones who didn't have magic yet, but you guys are. I'm not sure if living in Harmonious Land gave us magical abilities... or something," Riff thought.

"But how can we know that for sure?" DJ Suki inquired.

"We just need to do some research and experiments!" Rhythm suggested.

"Um, R, we left our lab equipment in Magikina City," Blues reminded with a frown.

"Note: So were my books," Laguna noted

"I think I know who can help us: the leaders," Quincy said.

"Them? I'm not so sure if they know about that," Trollex doubted the idea.

"Yeah, but I think President Trollazon does, she's wise and... a little old, I think she and the rest of the leaders knew something," Essence told them.

"So, should we go bak ta faand out why this here done happened?" Clampers inquired.

"What? No! Come on, the reason why we have to remain at the other side of the mountain was to take an easy relaxing vacation," Guy Diamond said with a smooth calming voice.

"I won't be so relaxed if these magic things happened again," Branch shuddered while closing her fists.

"Ay don't know about the rest av y'all, but I've been a-lookin' fawward ta coming here ta take ayy relaxing vacashun. Maybe we fawget about this here "new magic" faw ayy bit ayn' just try ta focus on enjoying our tahm here on thay ...err beach," Delta suggested as the other Trolls nodded in agreement.

"I think we should try to figure it out for ourselves. But if letting it go for now is what the rest of you want..." Melody admitted as the other Trolls cheered, and came to an agreement of deciding to ignore their new-found magic for a while.

When everyone went back to the beach to distract themselves from... all of this, Aggie still remained standing and slouching a bit sadly.

Before she could follow the others, Melody noticed his best friend's long face as she approached her.

"Something on your mind, Aggie?" The Half-Pop/Half-Rock Troll asked.

Aggie snapped out of her thought as she shook her head, "No, not at all."

"But why aren't you so happy?"

"Why should I be happy when some of our friends have magic, and nearly hurt themselves?"

"Hey, my Aggie was always positive about everything. Come on, Ags, don't be so negative," When Melody placed her hand on Aggie's shoulder, her eyes blazed purest white as she saw Aggie's memories.

*Flashback*

"How did that happen to Delta and King Quincy?" Melody asked.

"I'm not sure," Aggie answered, but then her thoughts spoke in her head, "Maybe it was probably me."

*Another flashback, just few minutes ago*

"Alright, ken somebody tell us what is a-goin' on here?" Gust asked after a moment of watching the whole strange things happening.

A sad and guilty Aggie then spoke in her mind, "It was my fault. I came to them, and I brought them here. I think my magic is infecting my friends, and they're hurting each other!"

*End of Flashback*

The psychedelic delved into the immediate past reverses itself, and the light faded from Melody's eyes as she returned fully to the here and now, and jerked her hand away.

"Aggie, it wasn't your fault that they have magic, it might be natural that they developed magic when we came here."

"How did you know what I was thinking?" Aggie asked worriedly.

"When I touched your shoulder, I could see things. I could understand why you were so quiet and sad," Melody was confused about it at first, but then, her eyes widened in realization, "My magic! This is my new magic! This is incredible!"

"No, it's not. I'm infecting you now!"

"Aggie, you have to stop looking at this as a bad thing."

"Easy for you to say. Your first signs of magic were so beautiful. The last time I showed my first signs of magic, I almost destroyed everyone in the whole Troll Kingdom," Aggie sighed sadly. "I'm just so afraid you're gonna hurt yourselves because of magic."

"I know, Aggie. I was there when it happened. Everyone's there when it happened. But you can't let it push you down that it was your fault. You should get up there, and rather help us Trolls know about magic than feeling bad about. I mean, you're the most trusted Magic Musical Troll we know when it comes to magic... You are the master, after all."

The Master of All Music sighed in defeat as her best friend was right, and she turned to face her, "Alright, I'll help, but I'm not sure the others would be comfortable about this."

"Don't worry, I got your back," Melody winked as a sign of promise she'll support her friend.

Aggie smiled in response, knowing she can trust Melody.

Meanwhile, at the beach, the Trolls were trying to have fun and stay relaxed. Some Trolls who haven't shown any signs of magic yet were having a good time, but the rest with magic were carefully trying to enjoy their time without worrying, like Poppy and Branch making a sandcastle without growing any trees or flowers, Lownote trying not to move his shades or it'll trigger flashing lights, Quincy and Essence trying not to throw objects or their paws anywhere with the same reason, Rhythm and Blues grabbing their beach equipment by hand so they won't trigger telekinesis, etc.

While Delta was breaking the coconut in half very slowly to avoid having earth armor, she then sighed, and admitted, "Ay know ay done said we should try ta fawget all about this here 'new magic' business, but ay can't."

"I say we couldn't ignore them because we don't know how to control them," Trollzart stated as the other Trolls nodded in agreement.

"Which is why we shouldn't pretend this isn't happening," Aggie said as she and Melody came by.

"Aggie's right, you should let them all out or you'll explode... for real, if that's what magic is supposed to do," Melody grinned sheepishly, not knowing much about magic as she admitted that.

"Do you have them now too?" Beat asked excitingly.

"Yep! Just earlier. When I touch people, it's like I can feel what they're feeling, see their thoughts, and their memories," the young half-Pop/half-Rock Troll said.

Cooper leaned eagerly toward her, "Ooooh, fancy! Try me, try me!" He grabbed one of Melody's hands, and slapped its palm onto his forehead.

Melody's eyes turned white again as she saw something in Cooper's head. She saw a vivid, candy-colored landscape whose inhabitants cheered as Cooper skipped along a broad trail, laughing joyfully. At the dies of the broad trail were inhabited by candy, cake, cookie, and cupcake figures with eyes and mouths, and confetti fell from the sky

"Ooooh, cake!" Cooper took a piece of purple cake from the nearest spectator, and chomped into it with icing, smearing his face.

Melody blinked as her eyes stopped flowing. Her mind was completely blown as she took her hand off the goofy Funk prince's forehead, "That explains so much."

"Yep!" Cooper then darted away.

Aggie then continued, "Guys, we can't just brush magic aside because it doesn't seem like the ideal time to get them. Remember when I showed my first signs of magic, it wasn't good at all because I held my homesickness in, and I let them all out vigorously. I wasn't very calm that time. I don't want that to happen to you guys. So, it would be better to let them out, and use them to help yourself and one another."

All throughout the song, the Trolls used magic when they needed it, like when Barb lit up a campfire while Val boiled a hot tea.

Trollzart and Dante used their air magic to shake a coconut tree to let the coconuts fall. Demo caught one, but he didn't notice another one was falling down to his head, but Laguna used her water-shield magic to protect him from getting hit on the head.

Synth taught Trollex to control the waves on the shore for Clampers to surf.

Seeing an empty spot where there were no trees, Branch touched the sandy spot where a giant strong tree grew into 20 ft while Poppy touched the trunks to grow flowers around it. They were then surprised when Lownote stepped in, and used his shades to create a carving on the tree. With a beam of light from his shades, Lownote wrote "King B + Queen P" and drew a heart around it. After he was finished, Poppy and Branch responded with a blush.

To construct a small house project, Rhythm and Blues used their telekinesis to stack up sticks together in the form of a framework of a house. They held them together while Holly stepped in to use earth to make a stone-made house, following the stack-up stick Rhythm and Blues held. It took Holly a little time to follow the framework, but she made the perfect house. To make windows and a door, that's when Delta came in as her fists were armored with rocks, and punched holes around the constructed stone house, making them windows. With one last blow, she then punched a rectangular hole as Blues placed a door, and screwed two screws on the door. Now that was called a house.

While they were exploring, King Quincy, Queen Essence, and Buckaroo found a place that looked like a cave, only it was covered by a boulder. With her new magic strength, Buckaroo pushed the boulder aside as it was revealed to be an actual cave. King Quincy then held his hand up slowly, creating a ball of light to lighten the place. Inside, they found nothing but just a dark tunnel. Essence then tried to use her magic with glitter, but when she threw a dash of it in front of her, they popped like fireworks, and flashed all over a cave, which startled the sleeping bat in the ceiling with their eyes glowing red. The three trolls ran outside as a colony of bats squeaked and flew out of the cave. When Quincy, Essence, and Buckaroo went out with their faces on the sand, they just laughed it out as they were having fun back there, and didn't care if they found nothing.

After a long day, the Trolls finally understood that they couldn't keep their magic in because it was new to them, but to let them out and experiment if they were good use to them. Aggie was right. Magic is good once they use it for good. The Trolls decided to put the questions of how they got magic aside, and embrace them for the time being.

Phew! That was a tough chapter! Okay, I based this entire chapter from My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree.
