A day after the basketball game at Vibe City, Aggie and Trollex took a stroll at TrollsTopia, talking about what happened yesterday with Creek.
"That game was awesome yesterday, huh?" Trollex chuckled, "There's a possibility that you can change the future, despite that you predicted it."
"I think it's rare as I observe," Aggie had her hands behind her back.
Seeing his girlfriend feel uncomfortable with her psychic vision power, the Techno leader held her hands, and said, "Hey, forget what Creek said. You're not a freak. With your psychic powers, I think you're special."
The Master of All Music blushed, but she appreciated her boyfriend's compliments, "Thanks, Trollex," she kissed him on the cheek, and hugged him.
While they were having a romantic moment, Trollex and Aggie noticed McJagger sticking his head between the bushes he pushed aside while hiding, and sighed dreamingly of what he was watching. Curiously, the couple approached behind the Funk Troll, and Aggie started to ask.
"Hey, McJagger, watcha doin'?"
McJagger was surprised as he put the bush back to its original shape, and said nervously, "What? Nothing!"
But Aggie didn't buy it, "Hey, you smiled differently. I know there's something," She lightly shoved McJagger aside, and tore the bush apart to see what the Funk Troll was looking at. It was Laguna writing notes on her notepad while discovering an artifact from the ground. Aggie then turned back to McJagger, smirking teasingly at him, "Aww, have you been watching Laguna this whole time?"
McJagger shook his head in denial, "Nope."
"You know you can't lie to me," Aggie moved away from the bush, and crossed her arms.
"Yes I can! I can lie to you, but not to royalties."
"Well, I'm royalty," Trollex pointed about himself
"But you're not my king."
"Yes, but why do you look so dreamy around one of my people?"
McJagger felt like he couldn't hold his breath of secrets much longer as he exhaled, "Fine. Yes, I was watching Laguna. And she's so beautiful," he sighed dreamingly.
"You know, you reminded me of Laguna when I saw her yesterday, and I saw what you should've seen with her," Trollex explained.
*Flashback*
Trollex swam around to see how techno Lagoon had been doing.
Then, he noticed Laguna writing on her notepad. He hid on a rock behind Laguna, and Trollex narrowed his eyes, seeing that Laguna wasn't writing notes for her studies or observation, she drew little hearts that said McJ.
Trollex then recognized who this "McJ" is as he smirked.
*End of Flashback*
"She did that? I mean, un..." McJagger was happy at the first part, but he snapped out of it, trying to act natural.
"Admit it, McJagger, and try to be honest with me. Do you really like Laguna?" When Aggie leaned a little closer to McJagger, giving him "the stare" that manipulated him to tell the truth. The Funk Troll gulped in fear, and nodded with a blush. Aggie backed away, and fawned over how cute this is, "AWWW, THAT'S SO ROMANTIC!"
"Shh, shh," McJagger tried to shush the Magic Musical Troll up as he placed his hands on her mouth to stop her from squealing, "Sshhhh! Not so loud."
"Why are you so afraid of? I thought you liked her," the King of Techno asked.
"I do. My heart flutters whenever I see her. But, deep down, I was terrified that she might not like him," McJagger admitted.
"Uh, didn't you hear what I said about Laguna thinking about you while she studied?"
"I... I'm still scared that what if all of this love might distract her from her studies, andshe might not like me anymore?"
"McJagger, I'm sure Laguna likes you. And you know what? I'll teach you how to ask a girl out, and tell Laguna how you feel about her," Aggie assured him.
The Funk Troll beamed up, "Really?"
"Yep, a Troll like Aggie is happy to help you. But first, let's try the first step to get Laguna's attention to you," Trollex suggested.
"What's that?"
"YO, LAGUNA!"
When the Techno King shouted, this caused McJagger to hide into the bushes again before Laguna could see him.
When Laguna heard her name, and turned to her side, she only saw Trollex and Aggie waving at her beside a bush, unaware that it was McJagger inside that bush.
"Hi, Aggie. Hi, Your Majesty," the antrollpologist waved before walking away.
When she left, Trollex and Aggie stopped waving as their faces showed disappointment. McJagger poked his head out, seeing if the ghost was clear.
"You blew your first try," Trollex groaned.
"Let's try something else," Aggie added.
All day, Aggie tried to help McJagger conquer his fear of asking Laguna out, even tried to ask help from Melody, Poppy, Rhythm, Blues, Holly, Satin and Chenille to give him a perfect look. But he ended up running away when the girls convinced him to push him.
Meanwhile, Trollex and Synth tried to convince Laguna to go out, and date someone knew, but, despite that she was facing the royals, she shut the door in front of them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At night, Trollex and Aggie met up together in Trollex's green neon pod. The King of Techno made the pod out of his own hair as it was hanging on the branch at the other side of the tree where aggie's pod was hanging, making them neighbors, but Aggie rather wanted to talk to her boyfriend at his pod instead.
"Obviously, McJagger was too shy to admit," Aggie explained, sitting on the chair besides Trollex.
"And Laguna has no time for discussing love," Trollex added, telling his own problem with Laguna, "Back in Techno Reef, boys tried to win her over, but she's too smart and too busy for something like that. I even tried that."
When hearing that from Trollex, Aggie suddenly glared sharply at him, slightly out of jealousy, "Really?!"
The Techno King held his hands up, "Don't worry, Aggie. Nothing happened between me and Laguna. I just want her to hang out with a couple of friends, but boyfriends are not her thing," but he still saw Aggie glaring at him, "Laguna wasn't really my type, I swear. Anyway, McJagger and Laguna might be smart, but love is not of... here," he pointed his head where he pointed the brain.
"Hmm, McJagger and Laguna are two different Trolls from different tribes, totally different. But what I do know they have something in common: riddles and solving questions or problems. I noticed they like reading books, and they are both intelligent."
"So, all we have to do is get them together in one place where there are books and riddles. Obviously, it was the library, but that is not enough,"
Aggie tapped her finger on under her chin before snapping her fingers, "I got an idea! But we need the whole gang for this one!"
The next day, Laguna came out of her pod with a bag of books when all of a sudden, she noticed a water-proof envelope falling slowly in front of her
"Hmm, what's this?" Laguna grabbed the envelope, and when she opened it, it was an invitation, and read it, "'You are cordially invited to test out Vibe City's latest attraction: The Record Riddle Maze. Think you have what it takes to make it to the end? Come by this before noon and see for yourself.'" Her eyes started to get all big with sparkles, "Fascinating! A riddle maze would be great to sharpen my intellect and provide a source of enjoyment," she quietly squealed in excitement as she swam to the surface.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Laguna traveled at the middle of TrollsTopia where she saw a red "x" on the ground.
"Hmm, I think this is where Vibe City is going to take me to the maze," when the intelligent Techno Troll stood on the "X", and waited for the Vibe City spaceship, she noticed the Funk Troll she secretly has a crush on approached beside her, "McJagger!" She screamed, but she cleared her throat, acting causally, "I would like to ask what are you doing here?"
McJagger showed the envelope that looks like Laguna's invitation, "I got an invitation that there will be an amazing maze at Vibe City. I believe this is where the city will take the invitees to the maze."
"I believe so," Laguna nodded, then she looked around suspiciously, "This is devastating. Are we the only Trolls in TrollsTopia has been invited for the maze?"
Even McJagger looked around, the area around them is empty, "I guess so. I mean, we're the only one here."
Suddenly, the Vibe City spaceship appeared in the sky, just above TrollsTopia. The hatch opened, and the bubble beam dove at the two Trolls. McJagger and Laguna were ensnared in a giant bubble, and floated upwards.
The bubble made it through the hatch as it closed, and the Vibe City spaceship zoomed away from TrollsTopia.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Laguna was a little scared at first. This is the first time she went to Vibe City as she held onto McJagger. The Funk Troll was surprised and blushed when his crush hugged him in fear. He wrapped one of his arms around her shoulder, comforting her.
The bubble then sent them down where the maze is as it popped when it landed on the floor.
When the floating was over, Laguna realized she was hugging McJagger she blushed so hard as she quickly pulled away. McJagger frowned when Laguna pulled away, thinking she didn't like it.
Near the entrance of the maze, Laguna looked around, and noticed there are no other Trolls around, "Hmm, nobody's here. Probably they already started before we do."
"So, should we go?" McJagger asked,
"Of course!" exclaimed Laguna.
When the Funk Troll and the Techno Troll entered the maze, a large wall blocked their entrance with no way out. There was another wall, with words on them.
"This maze is like an escape room," McJagger said, "We need to answer riddles in order to open this wall so we can cross this maze."
"Hmm," Laguna tilted her glasses as she read the description on the wall, "'I have no beginning, middle or end, but can touch every continent."
The two Trolls started to think with their airs staring on the air.
Then, McJagger snapped his fingers, "Hmm, I think I know this answer."
"What?" Laguna asked
"It's easy. Where do all Techno Trolls live... your old home?"
"Hmm, Techno Reef is underwater, and the water is..." the Techno Troll gasped as she remembered where her old home was placed in, "The ocean!" When she shouted the answer, the wall sank, opening the next section of the maze, "McJagger, how did you know?"
"I don't know... maybe I spent a lot with the smartest Techno Troll I've hung out with," McJagger glanced at Laguna while hiding his blush.
Laguna started to blush as she was flattered when McJagger said she's the smartest Techno Troll she knew. She then shook her head to snap out of it, and cleared her throat, "Umm... Note: Let's proceed to the next part."
When the two Trolls continued to walk in the next section, there was someone watching them from above.
"Are you sure this is gonna work?"
"Trust me, it will."
In the next section, there was another wall, and McJagger took a closer look at the words.
"'I can be sharp, but not dangerous. With me, you are in the light. And without me, you are in the dark.'"
"Oooh, I know this one: Sight!" Laguna guessed
"Pretty clever, Laguna," the Funk Troll complimented as the Techno Troll blushed again while looking away.
But still, the wall didn't open when Laguna said the answer.
"Why isn't it open? I said it specifically," the intelligent Techno Troll thought there was something wrong.
Suddenly, McJagger saw two scanner holes that matched the size of eyes, "There's a scanner over there," he took Laguna towards the scanner next to the description, and let her scan her eyes.
But then, Laguna has second thoughts when she realized she did the riddle-solving the the first try, while McJagger didn't do anything yet, "Note: I answer the question already, I think we'll be using your eyes instead."
"Why mine?" the Funk Troll asked,
Laguna then felt a little nervous to answer as her hands were behind her back, and looked down with her face turned red, "I don't know... because they look cute."
McJagger was flattered by what Laguna said about his eyes as he stared at the scanner, letting it scan his eyes, and the wall sunk, opening the third section.
"So groovy!" McJagger exclaimed.
"Note: This is literally the easiest maze that we go ourselves into," Laguna rolled her eyes confidentially while writing on her notepad.
"You're right. We'll be out in no time!"
Laguna: My brain's a-rackin' through this complex silver question cove!
McJagger: The tension's risin' up, the pressure's hotter than a stove!
Both: It seems so endless, but the end is reaching oh so near!
Will be back down or run away! Oh no! We show no fear!
'Cause we stay alive and keep thriving with our funky riddle grooves!
We zip on by, we lookin' fly, as we solve all the clues!
McJagger: And the two of us together, there's no way that we can lose!
Laguna: That's true!
Both: So we think and pace, inside the space, as we feel those riddle grooves!
Laguna: The questions keep increasing in massive difficulty!
McJagger: But we will answer every question right with perfect synchronicity!
Both: I got your back, and you got mine! We have that knowledge craze!
So, let's put our heads together and solve our way out of this maze!
'Cause we stay alive and keep thriving with our funky riddle grooves!
We zip on by, we lookin' fly, as we solve all the clues!
Laguna: And the two of us together, there's no way that we can lose!
McJagger: Yes, boo!
Both: So we think and pace, inside the space, as we feel those riddle grooves! We keep moving along as we sing along to those funky riddle grooves!
Laguna: So, let's move along!
McJagger: Move along!
Both: To those funky riddle groooooovvvveeessss!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All throughout their time at the maze, McJagger and Laguna solved every riddle ahead of them as they worked together to get themselves out from every trap section.
"'What has a head but cannot see, has a bed but does not sleep, and runs without legs?'" Laguna read the description.
"River!" McJagger answered.
Then, in the next section...
"'I am always following you, but leave no footprints,'" McJagger read.
"Shadow!" Laguna replied while letting the shadow touch the description on the wall, causing it to open.
Another section...
"I have a ring, but no fingers. I used to stay in one place, but now I am everywhere," the Intelligent Techno Troll read while turning to McJagger.
The bookworm Funk Troll answered, "Phone!" He then typed the word on the keypad.
Another section...
"I shine brightest in the dark. I am there, but cannot be seen. To have me cost you nothing. To lose me cost you everything.' Hope!" McJagger and Laguna read the description, and answered it at the same time.
It's been one-and-a-half hour, and McJagger and Laguna are still stuck in a maze
"The maze is longer than thought," McJagger yawned, almost getting tired.
"Apparently, this maze is more of a challenge than fun. I wonder if the other Trolls figured their way out before we do," Laguna stated.
In another section, the two found that the next riddle was inside of the tunnel. Curiously, they didn't know why the next section was in a tunnel, but they entered anyway. Inside, they noticed 5 torches with different sizes and different colored-fire.
"Hmm, the torches can lead us to another section of the maze if we pull the right one," Laguna walked towards the torches, and pulled the longest torch with red fire.
Suddenly, at their left, holes formed from the walls.
McJagger was alerted by this as he ran at the intelligent Techno Troll, "Laguna, look out!" he pushed himself and Laguna down to duck as arrows fired across the room.
It only took a few seconds when the arrows ran out.
Before they could get up, McJagger and Laguna looked at each other at their sides as their faces almost touched.
But Laguna snapped out of it first before trying to stand up, "I appreciate your help, McJagger,"
McJagger stood up, and said, "No problem. We just need to pull the right torch so we won't launch another trap."
Then, Laguna noticed a description under the torches, "This must be another riddle. 'For the flame that you have seen is among us five. The one you need is not low, but not high. I am not in the middle, if you are thinking that through, for the torch you seek is the number of trolls currently in due. In due: how many trolls are in the maze?'" Then, there was another riddle under the first one, "'To choose the right flame, take the utmost care. For the right one is a similarity you both share.'"
"Hmm, it's a tricky one since there are two riddles here. One is about which torch, and the second one might be the color of the flame. Two for just one answer."
"Hmm, the question in the first riddle is the number of Trolls here."
"There's only two of us... And what similarities we both share."
"Well, we like books and answering riddles, which is not a color."
When McJagger tried to think, he placed a hand on top of his hair. Then, while tapping his hair, he noticed just now that Laguna's hair color is the same as his, "Hey, haven't you noticed we both share the same hair color?"
"Note: You were right!" Laguna held her own short dark blue hair, and realized they did have the same hair color. But then, she realized this is one of the things that she and McJagger had in common, "The color of our hair..." She gasped, and turned to one of the torches that has dark blue flame, "Is the color of the flame! And the torch that said in the first riddle was 2, which means we have to pull torch number 2!"
When McJagger and Laguna pulled the torch together, the wall began to swing, sending the two trolls to the other side of the room.
The next section is another room, still inside the tunnel, with three doors.
"Ugh! Another riddle in a cave," Laguna groaned as she felt she wanted to get out of the tunnel.
"One of these three doors is the exit," McJagger said.
The two Trolls approached the doors, and couldn't figure which one is the real door is the exit. McJagger volunteered to open the left door, but when he opened it, it was dark, and can hardly see anything inside
"Where's my shoe?"
He and Laguna heard someone whispering as McJagger flicked the switch on, the light showed a Pop Troll with its lower torso missing.
This caused the two intelligent Trolls to scream in fear as McJagger quickly closed the door.
"Note: I am terrified!" Laguna hugged McJagger again, and this time, her hug was tight as she was terrified.
McJagger felt pity for Laguna as he hugged her to comfort her. Then, when he turned to his left shoulder, he found a riddle next to him, "'Only once you master me will you defeat your enemy'," He thought of something what the riddle means, as his eyes widened, knowing the answer, "I got it!" He then made the intelligent Techno Troll look up at him, "Laguna, you need to trust me. I know the way out!"
Laguna nodded while shivering, "Okay, I trust you."
"We need to take any of these doors, but you have to try not to be scared."
"But... Note: I'm not scared!"
"Are you sure?!" The bookworm Funk Troll asked as Laguna looked down, doubting if she's scared or not, "I felt you've been scared since we got into this tunnel. Why are you so afraid?!"
Laguna couldn't admit she was scared, but she wanted to get it out of her chest somehow, "This maze is too big, and the tunnel reminded me how we almost got trapped in the game room. If we're trapped here, I... I ..."
But McJagger cupped her face, and said, "Laguna, you know I'm here, you don't have to be afraid. I'm always here."
Laguna almost cried, but when she looked at McJagger's protective smile, the Techno Troll nodded that she trusted him.
The two then turned to the three doors, and they have to choose just one.
"Ready," McJagger asked while holding Laguna's hand.
"Note: Yes," Laguna nodded, trying to be brave.
"You're not scared?"
"No."
"Good!"
They both ran together at the middle door as they jumped through it. McJagger and Laguna groaned in pain.
When McJagger raised his head, he realized they were out of the tunnel.
"We got out! We got out. You did it, Laguna!" He got up, and hugged Laguna tightly and proudly with his cheek touched hers. This caused the funk Troll to snap out of realization of what he was doing as his face became redder, and put Laguna down, who was also blushing, "Sorry, I don't know what gotten into me,"
"It's okay, McJagger. I'm just happy that we got out of the tunnel...," Laguna chuckled, but then, they turned to see another wall with a riddle description on it, "Because we have another riddle to solve."
"Man, this is not fun anymore," McJagger groaned.
When the two approached the wall, they noticed a small opening that can insert any small objects in. Under the opening were three objects reserved: clay, rocks and sand
"Either of these three objects is our key," the Funk Troll pointed, then looked upwards, "And is that a timer."
There was a timer counting counterclockwise, and began at 0:30.
"We only have 30 seconds to find this key!" Laguna exclaimed in panic as she read the riddle quickly "'I am long, mundane, and very flat. And only the strongest survives under my heated tyranny.'"
"Wait, 'I am long, mundane, and very flat. And only the strongest survives under my heated tyranny'? I think it's desert," McJagger answered, "And you know desert is made of?"
"Sand!" the two responded at the same time.
In 10 seconds, McJagger quickly took a hand-full of sand, and dropped them into the opening, causing the wall to open apart like a door.
Then, there was another section with a riddle, and a wind-sucking hole, where the "key" should be inserted.
"'I am always growing, no matter what you do. Leave me untouched and I flourish, but become unhealthy. Treat me right, and I can shine brighter than the sun. What am I?'" Laguna read the riddle.
Now, the two started to think again. But McJagger got distracted when he stared at LAguna's new-styled hair. He couldn't help but place a hand on it. He couldn't control himself after he touched her hair for the first time when he embraced her when they got sent into Vibe City.
Laguna could feel someone touching her hair, "McJagger, mind me asking what are you doing?"
McJagger yanked his hand away, "I'm sorry. It's just that... I never realize how silky your hair is? dId you get it cut?"
"Yeah, I asked Melody to cut it, and it looks pretty good," she giggled.
"I think it made you look pretty," he commented.
"Thank you," Laguna blushed while touching her hair, then she realized the answer was on top of her head the whole time, "Wait... I think hair is the answer!"
She pulled a strand of hair, and placed it in front of the sucking hole. The hole sucked the strand into the wall, and it sank, moving forward to another section.
Laguna cheered happily that she answered another question and, all of a sudden, she kissed McJagger on the cheek, much to his surprise.
Laguna quickly moved away as she realized what she was doing, "Oh, eh, sorry," she blushed, feeling ashamed.
McJagger held her cheek, and blushed, "It's okay, but, Laguna, you're a genius!"
"No, you're a genius. You're the one who brought up my hair to this point, and this answered the riddle," the Techno Troll said.
But still, the two are still stuck in the maze with another riddle to solve.
"Another one?" McJagger was getting tired of these riddles he and Laguna kept solving.
Against the wall, there was keypad on place, and a riddle next to it as Laguna read, "Ummm... 'You know 2 + 2 comes to the same as 2 x 2. Now find a set of three different whole numbers whose sum is equal to their total when multiplied'?"
When she answered on the keypad, she typed 1, 2... and 6, which the last one is wrong. The wrong answer caused small confetti to blow on the Techno Troll's face. Laguna was startled as she ran off, only to crash onto McJagger, and the two stumbled down on the ground
Laguna was now on top of McJagger as they discovered their faces almost closed the gap. They suddenly got hypnotized when they stared at each other's eyes, and this time, they didn't snap out of what was happening. They two started to lean in each other's faces, slowly closing their eyes, and about to kiss.
The moment interrupted when the wall from behind them started to move towards them
"Uh, question: Why is the wall moving?" Laguna questioned as she and McJagger got up.
"If we don't solve the riddle, we'll turn into flat pancakes!" McJagger said as they turned back to the keypad.
"What are the numbers?!" the techno Troll asked.
When McJagger read the riddle, he wasn't sure of his answer, but he quickly typed 1, 2 and 3, causing the keypad to flick green, and the wall opened the door for them.
They ran through the door before the wall almost squeezed them to death. The two sighed in relief.
"Note: McJagger, you did it again!" Laguna laughed proudly.
McJagger smiled, then noticed there was a sign at the wall next to them, "THE FINAL RIDDLE", "Look... this must be the last riddle! Our ticket out!"
"Finally!" the Techno Troll yelled.
"But we only have three chances," the Funk Troll warned
"I'm sure we'll answer this riddle like a piece of a cake," Laguna chuckled confidently, then read the description, "'You cannot see, hear, smell, or taste me. But you can feel me. I am strongest with two, and can reside in a vital part of you. Only when you express it can you notice my presence'," Now, Laguna was starting to think she was wrong that this riddle is easy to guess, "Umm, Happiness?"
The answer is wrong as the 3 on the wall changed two 2, meaning that there are 2 chances left.
It's McJagger's turn to answer, "Sadness?"
That's another wrong answer as the 2 changed to 1.
"Oh no!" Laguna shouted.
"One more wrong answer, and we're toast!" McJagger exclaimed
"You mean, we're never going to get out of this maze?!" Laguna started to feel fear as McJagger looked at her, feeling worried for her. Laguna then sat on the ground, and sighed, "I thought joining this maze will sharpen my intellect, but... I guess I joined this maze for nothing. Now, if we don't answer this question, we'll be stuck here," she covered her face, and started to sob.
McJagger saw how sad Laguna is, he felt bad for her as he thought she's regretting of coming into the maze. McJagger sat beside Laguna, and wrapped an arm around her, "Oh, Laguna, don't regret your decision. When I got my invitation, I thought answering riddles in the maze will challenge me, but turns out... I also have fun."
Laguna sniffed as she turned to him, "You do?"
"Yes, I have fun answering riddles... with you."
"I guess... I was having fun in this maze with you too. If I'm the only one here..., I'll be lonely. But I'm happy you're here with me, McJagger."
Laguna wrapped her arms around McJagger, and snuggled her face into his jacket.
The Funk Troll hugged his crush tightly. Then, his mind and heart started to tell him that he has to tell Laguna how he felt about her. It's now or never, "Laguna, I... I...," He felt the Techno Troll raised her head to look at him, listening to his words, "I didn't have the courage to tell you because I respect, you're busy with your studies and research, but now that you're here, I wanted to tell you that... I-I'm in love with you."
Laguna was stunned, "What?"
"I know, it's... it's ridiculous. I'm a Funk Troll, you're a Techno Troll, and I don't think you feel the same," McJagger looked away in shame, waiting if Laguna would reject him.
"McJagger, if... if I don't feel the same, why do I keep doing what I've done back there?" Laguna confessed, causing McJagger to look back at her. Laguna then held his hand, and continued, "I just thought I'm the only one who has this feeling for you. I was also afraid that you don't like me the way I feel about you too. The truth is, McJagger..., I have a crush on you since I first met you at the library."
"Really?" The Funk Troll was surprised.
"And I have been quiet since then."
"You don't need to be quiet around me, Laguna. You can tell me everything, and I won't judge you. You're smart, you're brave, and you're adorable."
McJagger had his fingers under Laguna's chin, and raised her head up. He started to lean forward towards her face. Laguna didn't know what to do, and she didn't think fast. When his lips touched hers, her eyes widened as her face turned red before closing her eyes, and returned the kiss.
Laguna wrapped both arms around his neck as McJagger wrapped an arm around her waist.
After the romantic kiss, they slowly pulled away, and slowly opened their eyes,
"Note: This was amazing," Laguna sighed dreamingly.
"I love you, my beautiful Laguna," McJagger whispered.
"I love you too, my handsome McJagger," replied Laguna.
When they were about to kiss again, they heard a 'ding' sound from the wall as green light beamed, causing the wall to open, revealing the exit of the maze.
"Wait? That's it? That's the answer?" Laguna was shocked.
"Love is the answer?" McJagger felt the same.
They both got up, and walked out of the maze as the door behind them closed tightly.
"I can't believe it! We're free!" McJagger chuckled in happiness.
"And we solved all those riddles together!" Laguna cheered in return.
McJagger lifted Laguna from the ground, and spun her around before they hugged tightly and victoriously.
"You know, if we didn't confess that we love each other, we wouldn't come out from the maze," Laguna said.
"EXACTLY!"
Suddenly, when McJagger and Laguna broke the hug, Trollex and Aggie floated down out of nowhere in front of them.
"Master Aggie? King Trollex?" Laguna gasped.
"We weren't the only one," Trollex said.
Suddenly, the door behind them opened, revealing Val, Melody, Holly and Buckaroo.
"We done knew it would be mighty darn good," Holly giggled.
Then, over the giant wall of the maze were Barb, Delta, Trollzart, Dante, and Synth as they landed next to Trollex and Aggie.
Then, Poppy, Branch, Quincy, Essence, Prince D, Lownote, Rhythm, Blues, and Gust showed up from each side
"What are you all doing? Are you here when you finished the maze? "McJagger asked.
"Pfft, we didn't play in the maze, girl," Rhythm scoffed.
"We created it!" Blues answered.
"What?" McJagger and Laguna exclaimed in shock
"It were Trollex ayn' Aggie's idea," Delta pointed out.
"The maze was just a set up to make you two admit you have feelings for each other," Trollex explained.
"I knew you two share the same interest in books and riddles, so Trollex and I came up with the plan, and had the rest of the crew here. Uncle Quincy and Aunt Essence agreed to borrow an empty space here at Vibe City to create a maze," Aggie added.
"We Funk Trolls are advanced with technology, we built the maze overnight," Quincy said.
"Ayn' the rest av us done made the traps," Buckaroo stated.
*Flashback*
Back at the maze, the other Trolls were hiding behind the walls of the maze. Rhythm, Blues and Barb were responsible for the arrows. Delta, Holly, Buckaroo, and Gust were the ones who pushed the walls as thought to be a trap. Dante and Synth placed Pop Troll dummy with a missing torso on one of the doors. Lownote, Darnell, and Essence were in charge of the countdown and chances. Poppy included the confetti trap at the keypad. Lastly, Val, Melody, and Branch were waiting at the last door where they were done to open the door if McJagger and Laguna answered the last question correctly.
*End of flashback*
"Don't worry, the arrows are just plastic," Barb squeezed the tip of one of the arrows.
"And we created a Pop Troll dummy," Synth showed the dummy as it was stuffed by hay with red paint.
"That was on me, I love scary traps!" Aggie chuckled, but the other Trolls were unamused, "Oh, come on, that wasn't scary, it was funny!" But she admitted that scary one was too much as she turned to McJagger and Laguna, "Okay, I'm very sorry."
"Note: I don't like you're trying to do," Laguna said disappointedly
"But we appreciate what you did. It is kinda fun in there," McJagger admitted.
"But challenging," the intelligent Techno Troll added the sentence.
"It's the least we can do. I mean, we're your friends, and I'm the Master of All Music. I can teach anything and help other Trolls," Aggie said proudly.
"And I can do anything for my people," the King of Techno added, but he gave McJagger a warning glare, "But if you hurt Laguna, you're going to get it!"
"You heard him, it's one of his people or your life," Branch repeated.
McJagger grinned nervously and nodded.
"Good! Now, let's take this maze down," Aggie announced.
As for McJagger and Laguna, they decided to take another time for themselves as they walked away.
"Aww, but I wanna try this maze!" Melody was eager to try.
"You can't last long for 24 hours," Val chuckled.

At the Vibe City park, McJagger and Laguna took a walk before resting on the bench.
"I can't believe our friends set up a trap to make us confess our feelings," McJagger chuckled.
"I know. Note: I am a hypocrite," Laguna admitted.
"No, you're not... I'm one, too," the Funk Troll wrapped an arm around her new girlfriend.
The intelligent Techno Troll laughed, then looked up to her new boyfriend, "But... were you true to your words?"
"Laguna, why would I lie when I told you I like you?" McJagger then caressed her cheek, "But.. are you, too?"
"I'm always true to my words," Laguna then touched his hand, And I am in love with you."
The two stared at each other's eyes as sparkles formed around them. They couldn't turn away from each other's eyes as they started to lean closer.
"I won't mind having a second kiss," McJagger purred.
"Note: I would like to do it again." Laguna whispered.
The gap closed between the Funk Troll and the Techno Troll as they shared another romantic kiss and embraced each other.
