Laguna Tidepool and the Lost Game Room

Well, I made it before the end of the day. The song intro doesn't belong to me. Have fun reading this new chapter.

Intro

Queen Poppy: You can do it solo

Branch: But then you'd be all by yourself

Synth: Yo! So it'd be more fun to share this one with someone else!

Rhythm & Blues: Together we will soar across the sky and beyond!

Holly Darling: So turn up your voice!

Val Thundershock: Stand up and sing along!

All Trolls: All different voices, our melody's ringin'
We're living in harmony! Yeah, we're livin' in harmony!
Our song is much stronger with every Troll singin'

We're livin' in harmony!

Inside the scrapbook library, Poppy gave Holly, Rhythm, Blues, Aggie, Melody, and McJagger a tour.

She declared, "K, quick example just to make sure no one's still confused: here in Pop Tribe library, the section on 'critters' is here," she showed a picture of a Kitty Critter, "But 'critter claws 'is way over there," a picture of Branch with a Kitty Critter attacking him was shown, "'Cuz we organize our scrapbook hugabetically. Everyone nodded understandably, "We also have a reserved section of the Magic Musical Trolls," She pointed the secret tunnel of the library, "Our ancestors hid every information of the Magic Music Trolls in an underground library, but when we found it, we decided to keep it open for the new generation of normal Trolls to see. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. I know this library like that back of my hair."

However, she was wrong. Behind Poppy, Laguna pulled on what looked like a lever, which revealed a secret bookcase from above a bookshelf. Everyone watched in shock as Laguna picked out a book and went to sit and read it.

"Hmm, very interesting,"

Poppy asked in shock while everyone walked towards Laguna, "Mystery bookshelf?! Laguna, what is this?!"

"Oh, this? An ancient bookcase containing the secret to the greatest an-troll-pological discovery of all time," The intelligent Techno Troll responded while collecting more books before sitting down on the desk

Poppy was still confused as she stammered, "Ancient bookcase? But when did you...? How did you...?"

"Queens can be speechless and clueless sometimes,"

"I see you're confused..." Laguna showed her friends the book she just read, "Upon arrival in Trollstopia, my research led me to discover these secret scrapbooks, which details the whereabouts of a hidden chamber of recreation."

The group started to piece together what she was talking about as Poppy said, "You don't mean-"

Then, everyone cried out in unison, "The Lost Game Room"?

Holly, in awe, stated, "But ay thought that was just a campfire story, y'all. Hot dang!"

"Yeah, and my family told me that story when I was a kid," Aggie added.

Melody then responded, "It always sounded like a myth to me"

"Oh, yes, this dang is, indeed, hot. But time is of the essence. Because the game room only opens its doors for one day once every 100 years," Laguna declared.

Rhythm stated, "Only one day?"

Blues added, " Shoot. Ancient Game Room always startin' some drama!"

Laguna continued, Indeed. And how's this for drama: that day...is today."

"Today?! That was quick for hundred years," McJagger chuckled.

Rhythm exclaimed, "Stop right now!"

Blues cried out, "I can't take any more of this drama!"

Aggie, thinking about this, stated, "If it opens only for one day in 100 years, and that day is today, then we have to find it!"

"Good idea, Aggie. This experience happens once in a lifetime!" Melody said excitingly.

Laguna then continued her explanation, "So, you see, I have no choice but to summon my courage, seize the moment...and quietly finish my research."

Everyone was shocked, "Complete your research?!"

Poppy tried to reason with her, "Laguna, I know you're the kind of troll that likes to be prepared, but you just said you only have today to find the room?"

"But thorough research is my only key to success. Why do you think it took three years to choose the right hat?" Laguna pointed to the top of her head.

Everyone looked at her dumbfoundedly as Poppy whispered, "What hat?"

They shrugged in confusion.

"Listen, Laguna, we feel you. As scientists, B and I are all about research," Rhythm said while hugging her sister.

"But there comes a time when you've gotta take everything you've learned, trust in yourself, and pick a hat, girl!" Blues added

"Exactly. Even my parents traveled all over the world to search and research inspiration for music. Even my dad picked a hat for himself," Aggie made an example.

"Hmm, your hat argument is sound. I am deeply torn. Tension bubbling inside. Stress mouthing and...! I am persuaded," Laguna declared.

Everyone cheered and started to rush out,

But Laguna soon sat back down, wanting to read, "Just a few more pages!"

"Laguna!" Everyone shouted in dismay as they decided to lift the table with Laguna.

"These books are heavy, ya'll!" Holly grunted.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soon, everyone was riding a submarine in the lagoon in search of the Lost Game Room.

"We are close, friends. The entrance to the game room should be just over that ridge," as Laguna drove the sub around, they soon came across what looked like an old entrance.

"Wow," Everyone awed in amazement.

They went in as soon as they reached the surface inside and climbed out. Once on land, everyone focused their energy and made their hair/skin glow to shed some light in the dark... except for Aggie as her hair only glowed if she sang any of the 6 main music. The only part of her body that glowed was her pixelated pink heart.

Then, Laguna pulled out her book and flipped through it, finding the page that would lead the way to the game room. "Through there," she pointed to the tunnel ahead.

As the group entered, they came across a huge chasm with many sharp rocks at the bottom. Laguna almost fell as she didn't look where she was going, and her eyes were on the book.

"Laguna, look out!" McJagger held her arm, and pulled her back before she could fall.

"Phew! Thanks, McJagger," Laguna smiled at him.

"K, uh, maybe I'm wrong. But this don't look like ayy Game Room, ya'll! Mawe like ayy Giant Chasm That Leads To Our Untimely Death... Room."

"How do we get across?" Poppy asked.

"I can fly across, but I don't know if I can carry ya'll," Aggie said, then chuckled when she realized she spoke in a Country accent at the last part.

"The Trolls that first designed the game room left these Hopscotch Bridges," Laguna stepped her fin on the tile, and five rows of what appeared to be hopscotch boards appeared across the chasm.

Holly placed one of her hooves on one of the bridges.

"Four of which are traps," Laguna stated.

"Say what?" Then, the bridge collapsed, making Holly fall, but Rhythm caught her by her hooves with Blues and Poppy held them up, "Now yall tell us? Ya'll need-ta wawk on y'all's awduurr av infawmation!"

Aggie and Melody helped Poppy pull Holly, Rhythm and Blues back up.

"I do have a theory on which bridge to take. I need to consider a few new variables..." Laguna went to read the book again

Suddenly, a loud rumbling could be heard as behind Laguna, a huge wall was starting to move in.

McJagger turned around to see what's making that noise as he exclaimed in fear, and shook Laguna's arm, "Laguna, darling, you have to see this."

"Not now, McJagger. I just need to find the right theory," Laguna held her hand up, and kept reading.

Everyone grew terrified as they screamed, and took steps back, but realized their end was still the chasm.

"I don't want to die here!" Melody screamed.

"Uh, Laguna, we need that theory n-now!" McJagger pleaded.

"The time for weighing variables is over!" Rhythm winced in fright.

"And the time for running in terror has begun!" Blues added.

"Please, friends, I must focus," Laguna said while trying to read.

"Laguna! I know I say this like all the time, but we need to hopscotch right now!" Poppy screamed.

Laguna did not seem to be listening as McJagger just carried her into his arms.

"Okay, which bridge should we take?" Aggie asked,

Melody looked at the bridges as she doubtfully chose one of them, "Bridge three!"

When the Trolls hopscotched the bridge, it started to collapsed.

"We piked the wrong bridge!" Holly shrieked.

Before the Trolls could reach the edge, they fell into the chasm.

"Grab hold!" the Pop Queen alerted the other Trolls as they grabbed around Poppy, except for Laguna, who was still reading. McJagger grabbed her as Popp used her hair to grapple around a rock, and pulled them up at the other side of the chasm.

Laguna ten closed the book, and announced, "Well, my research makes one thing clear: we should definitely not take bridge three!"

Everyone groaned in frustration.

"Oh, well then, onto the next trap," Laguna began to walk while reading another book, leaving her friends to cry out her name in frustration.

"LAGUNA!"

Poppy: I know you like to play it by the book.

Holly: But now you got to put it down and take a look.

Aggie: The sky is falling, and it is time to go, ooh oh, ooh oh!

Poppy, Aggie, Holly, Rhythm, Blues, Melody, and McJagger: Right now, You got to use your intuition!
Let your body take over, oh!
Ooh, your intuition knows!
So, let it take control!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After what seemed like an endless path of booby traps and trying to protect Laguna from getting caught in them, they had finally reached the entrance to the game room.

"Friends, I give you... The Lost game room," Laguna pushed what looked like a play button as torches were turned on as the group walked into the fabled game room.

Inside was a pyramid, but when Laguna pushed three buttons with just one hand, it revealed a massive but really fun-looking board game. It looked like an amazing sight for sore eyes.

"It's a game, a game that combines all the most fun game components together," Rhythm commented.

"Cards. Spinners. Dice. Both in and out of the bubble," Blues observed every object in the game.

"Snakes and ladders, my favorite board game!" Aggie squealed as the game reminded her of her childhood.

"Letter tiles. Dominoes. Pawns, knights. It's... It's..." Poppy was lost in words of how she saw such a beautiful game.

"The greatest game ever created!" Laguna finished the sentence, "I can't wait to start documenting!"

"Wait, what?" Poppy and Holly were shocked and confused.

"Ooh, scientific documentation? Count us in!" Rhythm said as she and Blues took out their gadgets.

Aggie then took out a camera from her hair, "Ooh, I better get some pictures for my parents. They would find some inspiration for this. The Trolls in my homeland might even make a song, like... Love Game!"

"Oooh, I like that title," Melody giggled.

"If I have a book, I would write every information about this," McJagger said.

The 6 Trolls just pictured and documented the game with fun. They didn't have time to play, they rather studied and watched it like a museum artifact.

"I just assumed we'd play the greatest game ever created," Poppy said.

"Yup. Biggest hauurr rolls ferst, ya'll." Holly exclaimed.

The two Trolls started to play the game as the other 6 continued to scan, picture, and document it.

"Well, Laguna, it wasn't easy, but we're happy your dream came true," Rhythm told the techno Troll.

"I'm proud of you, Laguna," McJagger put his hand on her shoulder.

Laguna's face started to blush, "Thanks, thanks to a blind commitment to research and certainty."

Suddenly, the temple started to shake and crumble.

"Oh no! The temple! It's sinking! If we don't leave now, we'll be trapped here for 100 years!" Laguna shouted.

"Poppy? Holly? We gotta go now!" Rhythm called the Pop Queen and the Country Ambassador.

"No! Let us play!" Poppy replied

"But we gotta get outta here, girl!" Blues tried to reason with them

"Or we'll be trapped in here for 100 years!" Aggie added.

When she turned them around, Poppy and Holly seemed to be hypnotized with their eyes had dice pupils as they monotonously replied, "Let us play."

"Ah!" Laguna, Rhythm, Blues, Aggie, Melody, and McJagger exclaimed in fear.

"What is wrong with them?!" Rhythm, Blues, Aggie, Melody, and McJagger asked Lsguna.

Laguna thought of something, and snapped her finger, "Of course. The traps! They were meant to protect us from the Lost Game Room. Because this game is too fun! Once a Troll starts playing, they'll never stop."

"No wonder I stopped playing board games anymore," Aggie murmured.

"Laguna! What do we do?" Melody asked

"There's only one thing to do!" Laguna said before looking at the book, "Look through my books for the answer!"

"What?!" Rhythm, Blues, Aggie, Melody, and McJagger gasped.

"Girl, tell me that Troll is not doing some research right now," Rhythm told her sister.

"Laguna, we don't have time for research!" Melody yelled.

"If you already found some answers, it would be too late!" Aggie bellowed.

"I'm sorry, but I've got to be sure!" Suddenly, a boulder fell onto Laguna's book, "My research!"

McJagger then bent down, and held Laguna's face to look at him, "Laguna, forget the research! You have read the books. Now, you have got to trust yourself! And we're here to believe you!"

"Trust myself?"

Laguna almost doubted herself, until she thought of an idea. She noticed Holly about to roll some dice and got an idea. As Holly threw the dice in one bounce, Laguna caught them and kept them in her hands.

Poppy, still in a trance, said, "Hey! Give us back those dice!"

"Mama needs ayy seven! Did she get ayy seven!?" Holly shouted.

Laguna simply stated, "Note: this is for your own good!"

She began to lead everyone out of the game room and out of the cave, with Poppy and Holly chasing after them.

At a cave intersection, Aggie asked, "Laguna! Which way?"

Laguna looked at both exits and pointed to the right, saying, "We're going this way!"

"Are you sure?" Melody asked.

Laguna confidently replied, "Absolutely not." This confused the 5 Trolls, "But we're going anyway!" Now, her friends are impressed, "And also, I picked a hat!" She placed a mud brown fedora on her head.

"You go, girl!" Rhythm and Blues cheered.

"That's my Laguna!" McJagger sighed dreamingly before following her

Everyone ran back into the submarine and escaped just before the temple sank back into the ground.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back on the surface, everyone exited the submarine at the docks as Poppy and Holly started to return to normal.

"Poppy? Holly?" Rhythm called.

"You two okay?" Blues asked.

While holding her head and stomach, the Pop Queen asked, "Wha-what happened?"

Holly added, " Suddenly, ay don't care so much about whethuurr mama rolled ayy seven."

"It was a seven," Laguna showed her the dice.

"Well, hot dang!" Holly exclaimed successfully.

"Laguna, you saved us. How did you know taking the dice would work?" Poppy asked.

"I didn't. I just realized that while research is important, sometimes you just have to trust yourself while your friends are there to believe you," Laguna explained.

"Well, I have all the pictures I need to send it to my parents," Aggie took out the pictures of the game room from her hair.

"You can send them via zip beetle," Melody suggested.

Back in the library, Aggie was writing a letter to her parents as she put it inside an envelope with the pictures of the game room. She also has a copy of them as she took pictures twice in every angle of the game set.

"There!" Aggie then clipped the letter to the zip beetle, and flew away through the window, "Bye!"

"Your parents would be so proud of you when they saw the pictures you sent," Laguna said.

"I hope they won't be mad that you went through a dangerous game room with traps and all with us," Melody hoped.

Aggie snickered, "Are you kidding? They didn't just let me stay here for no reason. They went through traps before, and they stayed alive."

Out of nowhere, far away from Troll Kingdom, after days of flying, the zip Beetle landed on top of two skeleton Trolls as it screamed.

"Sorry about that, little one," someone gave the Zip Beetle a hand as it flew towards the person, which revealed to be Galileo. He then noticed an envelope on the critter, "What have you got there?" He took the envelope, and the Zip beetle flew away. Galileo opened the envelope, opened it, and read the letter while checking the pictures inside, "Honey, look!"

His wife, Bernadette, ran behind her husband, and looked at what he just saw, "Aww," She awed proudly for what their daughter has sent to them.
