Bring It In part 2
Okay, guys. I know short chapters are not so much, so I decided to post a whole episode in one chapter each. I think this part 2 of "Bring It In" will be a good start... I hope.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once Poppy and Aggie were in Classical Crest, which was above the tallest tree in Trollstopia, they settled in a room with a few more Classical trolls.
"To appreciate hugs, I think all you need is a little practice. Let's start nice and slow... by hugging this!" Poppy said as she pointed to the Classical troll statue next to her and Aggie, "Who wants to try?"
A hand raised from one of the Classical Trolls, "Minuet Sonata. I'm a fast study. They say it takes ten thousand hours to master a craft. I learned the violin in four."
"Well, you're a real go-getter, aren't you?" Poppy smiled in amazement.
"In what language would you like me to answer that? I speak seven... teen...thousand!"
"Say what now?!" Aggie squeaked in shock.
"Actually, no, I got carried away there. It's 17," Minuet corrected herself before flying over to the two Trolls
The Master of All Music sighed in relief, "Phew! For a minute there, I thought you're better than me."
"Nothing's better than anyone, master."
"I get it."
"Alright! We might have ourselves a winner here, Trolls!" Poppy exclaimed with excitement. She then started to instruct Minuet on how to hug, "Now arms out."
"Like this?" Minuet asked while opening her arms up.
"No, that's too high." Poppy said.
"Is this right?" Minuet put her arms down a little too low.
"Now, they're too low," the Queen of Pop replied.
"Okay, hang on," the Classical Troll raised one arm while putting her other arm below and raised a left leg.
Poppy was now having trouble instructing Minuet as Aggie took a turn, "Raise your right arm. Raise your right arm. Raise your right arm. Your right arm, not your leg. Ugh!"
"Is it right?" Minuet inquired with her arms and legs all over the place.
"No, no, it's not," Poppy and Aggie groaned in unison.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Poppy, Aggie, and the Classical Trolls went down at the Pop area of TrollsTopia as they poke their heads out from the bushes.
"Maybe it would help you guys to see a few more examples of the real thing," Poppy suggested to the Classical Trolls before jumping out from the bushes and shouting, "Surprise hug party!"
Just then, all of the Trolls that were around got excited and started to hug one another.
"Now, you try. Just do what comes naturally to you." Poppy told Trollzart, Dante and Minuet.
"What comes naturally. Well, I suppose we could keep our back straight like so," Trollzart started as he demonstrated.
"That's it!" Aggie smiled proudly.
"Yes, yes, and maybe if we extend our arms like this." Minuet said as she, Trollzart and Dante extended their arms out.
Poppy gasped, getting excited.
"That does seem promising. Then one arm in," Dante extended one arm while pulling the other back.
Poppy and Aggie's smiles dropped, "Wait."
"And perhaps if we lean into the hug," Minuet said.
"Uh, guys." Poppy wanted to say,
Trollzart, Dante and Minuet started bowing while saying, "We're doing it. We're hugging."
Aggie snickered a little, but Poppy face-palmed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at Poppy is going over the lesson about hugging while Aggie drew the concept of hugging on the chalkboard.
"Okay, let's try again!" Before Poppy could teach them another lesson, she saw the sad looks on the Classical Trolls' faces, "Guys, wha-what's wrong?"
"Let's face it, Poppy and Aggie! We will never hug successfully. We're inadequate!" Trollzart said in sadness and defeat.
"It seems Hug Time is just going to be an aspect of TrollsTopia that we won't be a part of," Minuet added.
"No, don't quit now. Trust me. When you finally get it, a hug will make you feel better than you've ever felt before." Poppy convinced them, "Like...like... Can you give me a high C, Dante?" She asked Dante.
"That I can do!" Dante said confidently before placing down a piano from his hair. He then sat down on the seat and started to play a few notes on the keyboard.
Poppy: Bring it in.
I know that hugging's kind of new to you.
Listen.
When you're feeling something good
Want to share it with the neighborhood
Yeah, you want to spread the love.
Just do it with a hug. Do it with a hug.
If you're low, feeling down. I can bring you around.
So love that energy.
So, bring it in.
I know that hugging's kind of new to you.
Just bring it in.
I'm feeling the love, I know you feel it, too.
So, bring it in.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They all finished hugging one another.
Dante flew backwards with an amazed look, "That was marvelous."
"Thank you, Poppy. Thank you for opening our eyes to hugs," Minuet said.
"Let us not delay, Classical Trolls. Perhaps we can sneak in a few more before hug time is over," Trollzart suggested before they all left.
The Snack Pack just smiled and watched the Classical Trolls flew away.
"Are they gone?" Smidge asked quietly to Poppy.
"They're gone," Poppy replied.
"AAAAAHHHHH!" The Snack Pack all started to scream and freaked out as Aggie was startled by their screams.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Guys, what's wrong?" Aggie was confused why they reacted like that.
"What in the hair was that?" Guy Diamond shouted, referring to the hugs.
"I think they were hugs, but they felt so wrong!" Smidge yelled.
Legsly shivered from the Classical Trolls' hugs, "Their hugs made me feel they are going to torture me!"
"So lifeless." Satin said softly.
"So limp," Chenille added.
"Limp? Mine was so tight I've lost all the feeling in my arms," Biggie explained as Mr. Dinkles slipped from his arm.
"I know! But thank you for not telling them that their hugs..." Poppy tried to find some words to say about the Classical Trolls' hugs, but Cooper cut her off.
"Were painful?! Uncomfortable?! Third adjective?!" He guessed.
"Aren't you guys a little rude?" Aggie glared at the Snack Pack.
"Rude?!" They exclaimed in shock.
"Aggie, their hugs feel like not hugs at all. It's not so loving and affectionate!" Legsly pointed out.
"I don't know. I think their hugs are fine to me!" The Magic Musical Troll smiled.
The whole Snack Pack just stared at her in confusion and shock.
"Do you have a different sense of feeling?" Guy asked.
"I was going to say 'need improvement.' But don't worry. The classical trolls will get better with practice. They have to, right?" Poppy hoped the Classical Trolls would improve their hugs.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The day went by quietly, and the next hug time was going to start soon.
Guy Diamond brushed his hair in front of a mirror, and noticed his hug bracelet chimed.
Minuet then popped out from the bushes, "Hug Time!"
"Oh, no," Guy tried to back away, but he was already caught into Minuet's arms
Her hug was too tight for Guy as he pretended to like it, "It feels... niiiice? Oh!" Minuet's tight hug squeeze caused him to fart a little glitter.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next, Biggie checked his Hug Time bracelet, and Dante appeared in front of him.
"Hug Time!" Dante hugged Biggie, but a few seconds passed, and Dante still hugged him.
"Oh! This is one of those long hugs, huh?" Biggie said awkwardly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Aggie can hear Hug Time watch chiming as Trollzart flew towards her from behind.
"Hug Time, Granddaughter!" Trollzart hugged her and snuggled his face on Aggie's.
"Uh, hehe, I love you too, Papa Trollzart," Aggie responded but this made her feel uncomfortable and awkward because of Trollzart's hug with snuggling cheeks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Smidge's Hug Time chimed, she panted heavily as she tried to hide away from the Classical Trolls. She looked at both sides, and noticed there's no signs of the Classical Trolls.
She sighed in relief... until three Classical Trolls jumped out of hiding from the bushes behind Smidge, and ready to hug her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Snack Pack met together for another private Classical Troll hug issue meeting
"They are not getting better!" Smidge shouted.
"It's true. Look what their hugs did to Mr. Dinkles!" Biggie held Mr. Dinkles, who was being strangled.
"It'll be okay, guys... I mean, Aggie seems okay with their hugs. Right, Aggie?" Poppy looked at Aggie.
Instead of an "okay" nod, Aggie just stared in fear as she confessed, "I lied. I lied, okay?! I only said they're okay because I don't want to hurt their feelings!"
Just like Trollzart did to you. But don't worry, it's only one awkward hug an hour," Poppy said
Suddenly, they heard giggles coming from the bushes.
"What was that?" the Pop Queen started to feel scared.
Trollzart, Dante and few of the Classical Trolls surprisingly came out from the bushes
"Surprise hug party!" Trollzart shouted
Poppy gasped in fear. "Surprise Hug Party?"
Minuet flew up and explained, "Now that we've mastered the art of the hug, we thought we'd make up for lost time!"
Poppy then laughed nervously, "Heh-heh! Great!"
"Poppy, we should tell them the truth," Aggie whispered to Poppy.
"No. Just like what you said, it might hurt their feelings," Poppy replied quietly.
The classical trolls start to surround and close in on us while chanting, "Hug! Hug! Hug! Hug!"
"It's been an honor serving with you," Smidge told Poppy before she was grabbed away, "Oh, my guh!"
Guy Diamond was drowning into three Classical Trolls' arms as he tried to break free, "Augh! Tell my storyyyyy!"
Biggie tried to run away, but the Classical Trolls were everywhere, wanting to hug him.
"To the high-ground, Mr. Dinkles!" He threw Mr. Dinkles up on the air to keep him safe, but a Classical Troll caught him and hugged him tightly.
"Hug Time!"
Poppy gasped as she watched the Classical Trolls hugged their friends uncomfortably and horrifically, "It's the Hugpocalypse! Stop!" she shouted.
"Stop?" Minuet wondered while hugging Cooper.
"We haven't been totally upfront with you, Trolls. The thing is, your hugs...are-" Poppy started to confess, but cooper interrupted her again.
"Painful? Uncomfortable? Third adjective?" Cooper said the same words as the ones before.
"Wait, are you saying our hugs are inadequate?" Dante asked.
"Well, I mean..." Biggie tried to answer, but he can't find any words without hurting the Classical Trolls' feelings.
Trollzart then asked Aggie as he let her go, "Aggie? Is it true?"
Aggie looked down, feeling ashamed to answer, but she looked at him and the other Classical Trolls, and nodded.
"I see. Well, now that I know the truth," Trollzart took a deep breath, and said, "I feel so relieved."
The other Classical Trolls felt the same as the released the Snack Pack in relief
"Okay, now I'm the one that's confused," said Poppy.
"Poppy, we weren't enjoying the hugs either. We were just doing it because it meant so much to you," Minuet explained
"But why? Guys, we should feel free to be honest with each other even if it's hard," Aggie told them.
This made Poppy realize she was doing the same of what the Classical Trolls did, "Which I realize now I haven't been doing either. So I should probably check myself and just say I'm sorry. Sorry. I just wanted you to know what it's like to share genuine Troll love and affection."
"Well, we do, Poppy. We experience it whenever we do this," Trollzart explained before he, Dante and Minuet bowed to each other.
Aggie bowed respectfully, "We understand. It's your culture, and everyone should respect each other's culture. Right, Poppy?"
"Hmm," Poppy then had an idea in mind.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All the trolls gathered around to hear Poppy's new announcement.
"So, from now on, for anyone that wants to, we still have Hug Time."
The Hug bracelets chimed as the Trolls started to hug.
"But for anyone that would like to try something a little different, there's also bow time." Poppy added the announcement with the Classical bow bracelet chimed.
Poppy and Dante bowed to each other as demonstration. Everyone else started to do the same.
"This is fantastic!" Biggie said.
"A whole new way to show our love!" Smidge agreed.
"Thank you, Poppy. Sharing our tradition with all of you has made bowing feel even more sublime," Dante said with appreciation.
"Thanks, Dante. Now, I'm gonna sneak in a few more before bow time is over," Poppy told him before running off.
When Trollzart, Minuet and Aggie gathered together on top of the mushroom, they felt uncomfortable watching the other Trolls' bows.
"Should we tell the other Trolls their bows are just...awful?" Dante asked them.
The other Trolls bows are completely wrong. They were emphasizing their bows a little too much and not very serious.
"That's not how I bow back home," Aggie whispered.
The Classical Trolls and Aggie groaned.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bring It In song and the concept of this episode aren't belong to me. I don't own anything, except my OC, Aggie.
So, in my version, Trollzart and Legsly appeared since they don't in TrollsTopia. I hope you guys like this chapter so far.
