Every year, Harmonia Falls's City Day puts on a big play to celebrate the seven explorers who founded the city and this year's will be the best show ever because Holly Darlin' and her team are putting it on. Holly was checking on the preparations as Val Thundershock, Gust Tumbleweed, Laguna Tidepool, Minuet Sonata, Darnell, Synth, Demo, Blaze Powerchord, Petra, Delta Dawn, and the rest of their crew are dressed in 18th century fashion, fooling around onstage while the others are working on the props and the background. Meadow Spriggs, who is dressed as a fairy, is helping out in the background.

"Are you okay?" Holly Darlin' asked them.

"Just barely, playing the roles of Cygnus Madrigal, Tan "Tansy" Rodrigues, George Jackson, Amelia Brown, Mildred Harris, Billy Woodrow, and Link Thunderson is tough," Gust Tumbleweed, who is dressed as Billy Woodrow sighed.

"It's only a matter of time because Poppy was gonna to be Tansy Rodrigues and Rose would be Cygnus Madrigal, who coincidentally are best friends like their descendants but they have a lot of work to do so I volunteered with Blaze to play these two besties but at least DJ Suki is able to join us in time," Demo smirked.

"Sorry, it's not as easy as it is to find the fucking curtain rope," A female hard rock troll apologized.

"You better figure it out by City Day, the veteran teacher, Geraldine Groundwater is counting on us," Holly said.

"I know, you remind us like every five minutes," she groaned.

"Yeah, I love how I get to play as an ancestor of mine, who is known for his ingenuity," Darnell said, admiring his costume.

"It is an honor to play the role of Amelia Brown, she's the most elegant and kindhearted among the seven," Gia Grooves said as she looked at her costume.

"Not to mention that Mildred Harris is the one who was able to warn the kids about a tribe attack in the nearby canyon when Brook Devin led their cruel parents away," Nova Swift, who is wearing a Mildred Harris costume added.

"Look, we're all tired, but it's just a few days," Laguna Tidepool assured them.

"I'll take a look at the rigging schematics after I finish sinking sound and lighting cues with our robots," a member of the Funky Circus said.

"Show business is harder than it looks," Holly panted.

"Hey, how about a cast and crew pic to commemorate this year's Harmonious Frontier!" Synth shouted. "It's gonna be me-me-me-meh!!!!!!"

"Good idea! Before another one of those things comes down," Petra agreed.

"Okay, just like they did back in the 18th century, nobody smiled," Holly instructed as they took group selfies and took photos altogether.

For a few days, they kept on rehearsing and rehearsing and rehearsing until the show finally started on the eve of City Day after the parade and the festivities were at its culmination. Everybody was all set and the audience was finally set in their seats. Soon, Dante Crescendo appeared onstage, dressed in his 18th century outfit.

"I'd like to thank Wind Breeze for sponsoring this year's production of The Harmonious Frontier!" Dante said onstage as everybody applauded for them. "I'd also like to thank her for choosing us to participate on City Day."

Soon, the show started as Demo, Blaze Powerchord, Darnell, Minuet Sonata, Gia Grooves, Nova Swift, Gust Tumbleweed, Val Thundershock, DJ Suki, and their fellow cast members, who are now dressed in their costumes, took their places and waited for the signal.

"150 years ago, a brave group of friends left Canada and formed their caravan, The Sacred Harp, determined to find adventure," Dante said as he narrated the story while the actors acted their roles. "Cygnus Madrigal, a frontiersman and eldest son of the immigrant Filipino musician, Dolores Madrigal and the former plantation slave, Anthony Madrigal, Tan "Tansy" Rodrigues, a creative artist ahead of his time and Cygnus's best friend, George Jackson, a wily inventor with a sharp mind, Amelia Brown, the most kindhearted member of the group and astronomer who can see through the stars, Mildred Harris, a skilled actress who knows the good and evil within others, Billy Woodrow, the exceptional but strong builder, and Link Thunderson, the fierce hunter."

While Dante narrated the story, the crew acted out every scene in the story, from Cygnus's relationship with his sister Lyra, who is played by Minuet Sonata, and his wife, Miranda "Miri" Madrigal, who is played by DJ Suki. Then, they showed the caravan's journey through the woods and the desert.

"When they were staying in the desert, a schism tossed the entire caravan around because of the delusions that the treacherous cousin of Tansy, Brook Devin," he continued.

"What, what do you mean we should listen to Brook Devin? She said there is an easy way to a new home," one of the actors playing one of the travelers said.

"No, Brook is lying, we have to stick to the route, it's safer than going in any other direction or you don't know what is out there to take your life, either a band of Indians or ravaging wild animals," Demo as Cygnus said.

"But we had enough of this dry heat and blistering cold!" Another actor said as he acted revolting.

"We have to stick together, if we can follow the right path to our destination, we will find home!" Blaze Powerchord as Tansy Rodrigues tried to warn them.

"But the dissenters who believed in Brook Devin's lies broke away from the caravan and they were never heard from again," Dante continued. "In a flurry of commotion, the explorers and their group continued their journey but soon, they were traveling in the midst of a storm."

"We're in a dangerous storm!" Minuet Sonata as Lyra Madrigal shouted.

"Get inside the cave for cover!" Demo as Cygnus Madrigal shouted.

"The explorers and their entire caravan hid in the caves during the storm,"

"This is awful," Gust Tumbleweed as Billy Woodrow panted.

"I can't believe a storm might disrupt our travel," Darnell as George Jackson recited his lines.

"We'll never find our place to call home," Gia Grooves as Amelia Brown sobbed.

"Oh, it seemed like all was lost as they traveled through the caves and the canyons nearby," Dante narrated. "Suddenly, a fairy appeared."

"I am the fairy, and I am here to help you," Meadow Spriggs, who is dressed as a fairy appeared from onstage and everybody applauded her performance.

"Soon, the explorers, with the help of the fairy, discovered a lake in a shape of a heart with a huge waterfall that emitted a rainbow color, which is located in a huge fertile land on the coasts in what is now known as California and together, they built oldtown, known then as newtown, they created an archway to welcome visitors, a lighthouse to guide them in, an observatory to remind them how much there is to explore, a museum to share the beauty of the world," Dante continued. "A bank to protect their new treasures, they built homes, and had families but no one has the biggest honor than Cygnus Madrigal, who became the first mayor because of his bravery and leadership. And that is how Harmonia Falls came to be."

Everybody applauded for their performance as the entire cast appeared onstage and bowed. Holly Darlin' and her friends don't know how things become a tradition but it's nice for them to know that some things never change.
