Part two of Never Love Again..

It had been two years after the incident, Creek had been found guilty of the fire and death of Branch, and sentence 30 to life in prison. Poppy was pleased with the outcome of Creek she hadn't had another boyfriend since Branch, sure male trolls flirted with her, complimenting her, she smiled but never gave them a thought. Sure, her friends and dad and sister Alice would try to get her to go to speed dating but she refused she was happy, but she had lost that spark that had always been there and they all noticed it.

She would teach the little kids and sometimes hang with her friends and family, or she would help her dad with stuff he needed. She was still heartbroken when nobody was around, she would cry for hours at time. At night she would pull out her scrapbooks filled with pictures of her and Branch before she went to bed, she would hold the picture frame of her on Branch's back as he was walking, they were both smiling and laughing looking at each other. She would hug it as she fell asleep.

She had nightmare memories of what happened and how they barely had time to say goodbye. She hardly slept and when she wasn't busy, she was in her room.

One day she was cleaning the basement and then Alice came down. ''Hey sis how is you doing?''

''I'm doing good just decided to clean up the basement down here dad had a lot of stuff.'' Poppy said smiling at her adopted sister.

''Nice here let me help you.'' Alice said as she grabbed a box.

''So how is Eric doing?'' Poppy asked.

''Oh, he's alright still sad but he's slowly coming around.'' Alice said thinking of her boyfriend who was Branch's younger adopted brother.

''Oh, hey Poppy remembers this photo?'' Asked Alice pulling out a picture of her and Poppy fishing.

''Yes isn't that the same day you tipped over our boat?'' Poppy teased.

''Hey that fish came up out of nowhere.'' She defended herself.

Both girls laughed at this. ''So Poppy me and the snack pack were gonna have a small get together you should join us.'' Alice said.

''No thanks I don't feel like it.'' She said.

Alice hugged Poppy. ''Come on Poppy we all miss him but he would want you to be happy.''

''I don't know I'll think about it.'' Poppy said.

Alice then left as she saw dad coming down she shook her head at their dad.

Peppy went down the stairs and saw Poppy staring at a picture and wipe her eye.

''How is my princess?'' He asked.

''I'm fine you have a lot of stuff down here.'' She said.

''Yes I do me and your mom had plans to clean it.'' He said going though a box.

''So I hear your sister is going out you should go with.'' He said.

''I told her I would think about it dad.'' Poppy said going to a different box.

''So, it's a no.'' He said.

''I love my friends, but they are just gonna try to set me up.'' She said.

''Poppy sweetheart.'' He said going over and turning her, so she was looking at him and he hugged her she hugged back and started crying. ''I know hon it hurt a lot.'' He said.

Poppy and Peppy were close giving how they both lost someone close. ''It will get better.'' He said.

''I know it just still hurts.'' She said.

''What you and Branch had was special.'' He hugged her and kissed her cheek.

So that evening Poppy was walking looking around and she came to a small graveyard and to a small gravestone with the name Branch on it and she sat on the ground looking at it and placed a poppy flower on the tombstone and looked at it.

''Hi Branch, I told you I would come back. So, my day was pretty much the same I went to clean out dad's basement lot of stuff down there, I found some very cool old stuff. Eric is doing a well from what Alice has told me.'' Branch's hugtime bracelet went off on her wrist she hugged the gave stone.

''I just love our hug times and yes, I am still single, you were my true love, and I won't ever move on your stuck with me.'' She smiles and places her head against the tombstone and pulled out the picture of her and him together and showed him. ''This is my favorite picture of us I know you didn't care for pictures but this one you look amazing I wish we could do it again. Oh, I'm watching a meteor shower tonight it gonna be great and I'll keep track of them and tell you what happened.'' She smiles and kisses the tombstone and then stood up slowly and walked away.

A short time later she was sitting on a grassy hill and she was looking up at the sky she had a blanket around her and she saw the shower start. There were so many of meteors coming down it was breath taking she took a picture remembering this was where Branch took her for their third date.

Flashback..

Poppy and Branch were sitting down she was in his lap her head against his chest as they watched the shower.

''This is so beautiful.'' She said smiling.

''Yes it is its my favorite thing to do.'' He hugged her kissing the side of her cheek. ''You know they say that if you make a wish during a meteor shower and you really mean and believe it it will come true.'' He said.

''Has it worked before?'' She asked.

''It did I got you and I once wished I would be with you Poppy.'' He said.

''Your all I need Branch.'' She smiles as they lean in and share a kiss.

Flashback over..

Poppy watched them fall and she decided to give it a try maybe her wish would come true it was a long shot she looked up. ''I wish my Branch was back here with me I miss him and I want him back. I love you Branch.'' She said closing her eyes and wishing with all her heart, she felt it skip a beat and she looks up and watched the rest of the shower and then she went home snuggled up with the picture and fell asleep. ''I love you Branch.'' She cried herself to sleep.

The next morning Poppy was up early she hadn't gotten much sleep she laid in bed thinking about last night and the wish she made and she looked at the picture and hugged it. She wanted to lay in bed all day but she knew she needed to get up and get ready for the day.

She took a shower and she got dressed and fixed her hair and went downstairs and saw her dad and Alice eating breakfast.

''Morning Poppy.'' Her dad said smiling at her.

''Morning guys.'' She smiled and got herself some toast and orange juice.

''So what are you planning for the day?'' Asked Alice.

''Well I'm gonna go see a special friend this morning and see what happens from there.'' She said as she finished and left.

Peppy and Alice watched her and they knew who she was talking about. ''Poor Poppy I wish I could do something to help.'' Alice said.

''I know sweetie I do too but we can't she has to do it herself.'' He said.

Poppy ran over to the graveyard and went in and up to Branch's gravestone only to freeze there was no tombstone there it was gone. Poppy was shocked and angry how dare someone remove it as a joke when she finds them she was gonna kill them. ''How could they if this is an idea of a joke its not funny!'' She shouted and she fell on her knees crying.

She looked at the ground and saw a shadow behind her and she was gonna beat up the one responsible and she turned around and was shocked.

There stood Branch in his green vest and patchy brown pants looking at her with a smile on his face. Poppy stood frozen looking at him not believing it she had tears coming down and her hand over her mouth. ''B-Branch?'' She asked quietly and slowly.

''Hi Poppy.'' He looks at her.

She smiles and laughs a small laugh, Branch wasn't prepared he caught a blur of pink thrown against him he caught her and noticed she hugged him tightly her legs wrapped tightly around his waist holding him close. ''Branch.. oh Branch, Branch its you.'' She cried in his shoulder.

He hugged her just as tightly smiling as tears were threatening to spill he held his love and didn't want to let go of her and he felt her body. ''Poppy oh Poppy shhh its ok I'm here now I'm not going anywhere.'' He said holding her. ''I missed you.''

''I missed you too more then you know.'' She cried squeezing her eyes tightly as the tears flowed.

After a bit they pulled away and stared at each other. ''H-how?'' She asked.

''Someone wished on a star and wanted me back here I am.'' He said.

''My wish came true! It came true!'' She smiled crying taking in his smell.

''Oh Poppy you brought me back and I'm here for good.'' He said.

They looked at each other and he brought her into a kiss his arms around her and she kisses back wildly trying to make up for lost time. They stood there making out and breathing then making out again holding each other close.
