Branch and Poppy stared at the stranger that was floating in the air, they were speechless.
"What is this place?" Poppy asked after a long silence.
"I thought you'd be smarter, Queen Poppy. It's weird that you don't recognize the world of your favorite video game." the glowing guy said with a happy tone. She was shocked. "How do you know my name?"
"I know everything, little queen." He replied, bringing his face close to Poppy's. She was kind of scared. Branch frowned at him. "Who are you? What are we doing here?"

"Oh! How could I've forgotten to introduce myself? My name is Sparks, the ruler of this small world! And you must be..." He giggled. "Poppy's boyfriend."
Branch wanted to punch that guy to death for a second but he was also surprised to know that he knew everything about them.
"I brought you here! Let me explain; This little world was once just a normal video game until I found it! I am a piece of magic and I don't have much power in your world. But here, I can be a goddess! So a while ago back when this game was created, I told myself 'This is the best place for me to live in!' "

Branch chuckled. He could not believe that green sausage was serious. A piece of magic? He did not buy that.
"So you decided to bring us here just because you wanted two trolls in the game... Excuse me, I mean your territory?"
Sparks' smile turned to a laugh. He has been asked this question multiple times. "You are not the first trolls to come here! Didn't you notice, My darlings? There are various characters throughout the game including trolls, but this hasn't always been that way.
When I came here, only creatures like goblins, dragons and other strange animals were living in this weird world. I wanted trolls to entertain me, so I started dragging those who were playing this video game into it with my power."
"It's weird that you survived until now. The developers and the creators could easily get rid of you as a virus." Poppy said.

"Well, they tried their best but I was stronger. I dragged them all into my game and made them a part of my land. What a pity, they were such lovely trolls." Sparks replied.
Branch finally believed his story. The more he heard, the angrier he got. "You're crazy! You drag trolls into the game without them even wanting and you take their lives away!"
Sparks put his hand on Branch's mouth, which made his lips tingle a bit.
"Don't rush, Branchie! I gave them a chance to overcome challenges and save their lives; this is a game, after all.
And those who were not lucky enough to win? Well, I gave each one of them a new life as a character in this video game. And this is what I'm going to do for you. You must go through ten stages to go home."
He snapped his fingers and a bunch of transparent floating screens appeared, such as video game monitors around.
Sparks smirked. "I wanted to give you a chance to choose your characters, but it looks like you've already done that."

Two of the screens started glowing  showing pictures of two characters. One of them was a beautiful princess and the other was the picture of a male troll that was wearing old clothes.
The floating pictures disappeared and Poppy and Branch found themselves wearing the same clothes as those characters.
Sparks explained. "You are now the princess of the crystal land and her loyal servant. You must go through 10 stages. You have 3 days to beat the game together. If you succeed, you will be able to go home. But if you lose..." His radio tone sounded creepy.
"Your memory will be erased and you'll stay here forever!"
He started talking with a happy tone again. "That's it! Don't waste any more time and let the adventure begin!"
Sparks disappeared in a flash.
