It was almost midnight.
Branch and Poppy were playing a video game in the bunker. Poppy jumped up and down and bit her lips, wiping the sweat away from her forehead with the back of her hand as Branch calmly pressed the buttons on the controller. They both liked video games so they decided to play together that night. But apparently, luck was not on Poppy's side and she kept losing and screwing up.
"Just because we are in a relationship now, doesn't mean you shouldn't let me beat you!" She grumbled.
"I'm just trying to help you become a better gamer, Pops!" Branch chuckled.

The text "GAME OVER!" Appeared on the screen. Branch was announced as the winner. He tapped on the pink-haired troll's shoulder to comfort her. "I promise I'll teach you how to get better at playing "My Land". It's not that hard."
Poppy raised her head. "Oh Branch, I'm sure I'll beat you if we play one more time!" She said with a smile on her face.
"You mean after losing the last 294 rounds, right?"
"Branch!"
"Okay! Okay! Let's play one more round. Ready?"
"I was born ready!"
Branch pressed the start button and a row of tens of characters appeared on the screen.
"Which one of the characters do you want?" He asked.
"Um, I guess I never chose that one. Princess Crystal! I'd like to give her a try."
Brunch smiled. "Good choice. I'll just choose a character who is related to her. Her loyal servant."
After they selected their characters, they heard the clock ringing; telling them it was midnight. When they were about to start the game, a green spark came out of the screen and engulfed their bodies. Before they could realize what was going on, Poppy and Branch found themselves falling from the sky.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?" Poppy shouted.
"I HAVE NO IDEA" Branch said.
They fall on the ground and grumbled in pain.
Poppy tried to get up as she was rubbing her back. "Where are we?"
Branch looked around. They were lost in desert. He could see mountains in a long distance as well as a place that looked like a small town. Everything was somehow familiar.
"Oh no..." Branch figured it out.
"What?" Poppy was confused.
"It can't be! Poppy, I guess we..." Branch said,being more terrified than ever.
Poppy read his mind. "Wait, you don't mean..."
They gasped. "WE'RE IN THE VIDEO GAME"
Before they had a chance to do or say anything, the green sparks they saw a few seconds ago gathered around and formed a body, someone like a young male human. His entire body was green and so were his clothes, his face, and even his hat that covered his eyes. He had a smile on his face that showed his sharp and long teeth.
His lips didn't move when he started talking.
"Welcome, Pop trolls!" He said in a strange radio tone.
