Prologue
In the past back when Trollstice was still in its prime, the remaining pop troll population gathered around the center of the Troll Tree for a meeting with their leader regarding the current state of their lives. The Bergens would still consume them, the trolls were decreasing and the King's son was becoming old enough to taste a troll the following year. All these concerns and worries were riveting so they had to be handled with caution.
"Trolls." King Peppy walked up to the center of the stage and projected his voice fiercely, "I have heard of the whispers spreading around Bergen Town about the upcoming Trollstice. I am confident enough to say this situation will be handled properly and our imminent escape from this place may occur sooner than expected." King Peppy took a step back and welcomed his wife Queen Primrose, to join him on stage.
The queen mended into his speech using her own words, "It is safe to say that the first batch of trolls will be leaving with me tonight."
The crowd worried about what that could mean, chattering all around. Queen Primrose clapped her hands trying to call their attention back to her. As the stormy night poured all over town, the royal Chef observed the trolls up from the highest tower of the Bergen Castle with a telescope, she pulled it back into its socket and cussed, "Pathetic little creatures."
Back at the tree, Queen Primrose finally gained her position and spoke, "Yes, this means a small portion of our population will be joining me and my daughter on a search for the perfect haven for our people." She gave her husband a bittersweet smile, "And not to worry my husband and my youngest daughter will remain here until it's safe enough for everyone to leave."
"Our main objective is to create stability for everyone." King Peppy added trying to give the trolls some consolation as he is an example for his people, "But most of all, no troll left behind."
"Those who were selected for the field operation start preparing for our depart." The Queen finished her speech as she joined her husband on their way back to the royal pod.
A young Branch, suffering from his grandmother's death, rolled his eyes at the statements made by the rulers and returned back to his pod. Meanwhile, inside the royal pod, the princesses were having the time of their lives playing around with each other.
Baby Poppy fell on by herself and laughed enthusiastically as young Viva entertained her by doing some exaggerated expressions. However, Viva got distracted by a shining jar of candy on the highest shelf, "Ugh I wish we could reach it."
"Yay!" Baby Poppy swung her hair around, almost as if she was indicating something to her sibling. Viva dropped her jaw and gasped dramatically, "Oh my goshness." She picked Poppy up and jumped with her around, "Poppy you are a genius!"
Viva whipped her hair as high as she could, but unfortunately, she hadn't developed those abilities properly yet, and to their surprise, King Peppy and Queen Primrose walked in right on time for Viva to stop whatever she was trying.
"I swear I was definitely NOT going to eat candy." Viva smiled vividly as Baby Poppy sat by her side smiling like her.
"Hmm." King Peppy though to himself, "You two weren't planning on misbehaving now were you?"
Viva jumped back and protested, "What? Course not." She laughed nervously.
"Oh, I'm gonna miss that." King Peppy laughed to himself, attempting to keep his feelings controlled as he was the mature one in the pod.
"What?" Viva blinked looking at her baby sister in confusion.
Queen Primrose bowed down to their eye level and took a deep breath before initiating her explanation, "Girls, it's time." She sighed, "Viva it's time for you and Mommy to find a home."
"To find home.." Viva gasped softly, "But that means..."
King Peppy responded brokenly, "Yes."
The two siblings looked at each other saddened by their future separation. Their parents knew there was nothing that could be undone about it.
"You know girls if there's one thing I know..." Queen Primrose began to comfort her daughters by playing a soothing melody on her ukulele, "Whenever I am feeling a little down or anxious or anything like that... I sing." The mother looked down at her daughters and gave them the brightest most confident smile a troll could ever have, "Music never lets you down
Puts a smile on your face
Any time, any place
Dancing helps relieve the pain
Soothes your mind, makes you happy again
Listen to those dancing feet
Close your eyes and let go
But it don't mean a thing
If it ain't got that swing."
King Peppy gave her an unsure look due to her choice of music style, "Despite the song, I agree with your mother. Music is part of our blood and most of the time it's the only remedy for complicated situations."
"Like this one?" Young Viva asked out of pure innocence.
"Yeah..." Queen Primrose nodded her head giving her a soft smirk, "Come on baby."
The family began to prepare for the mission, embracing each other one more time before they got separated. King Peppy held Poppy in his arms as he observed Primrose, Viva, and all the other trolls climbing up to the top of the tree. Primrose and the trolls ran down the tunnels and successfully escaped the troll tree, eventually ending up at the Holes N'Fun park.
