Chapter 4

Meanwhile, inside of Branch's, now Brozone's bunker. The five brothers were preparing themselves for their next performance at Poppy's celebration party, while the others were resting, John Dory was busy searching through their discography for the perfect song, "Clay come here."

"Yeah?" Clay joined JD on the setlist search for the performance later that night, "What's up."

"I think we should sing Girl I Love Your Love Girl You Broke My Heart Girl I Still Love You But I Seriously Think We Should Talk About Our Relationship Girl." John Dory confessed as sat on an armchair and bounced a tennis ball against the wall, "Poppy loves that one."

"Yeah, she does." Branch smiled at the thought of Poppy but suddenly he questioned his brother's statement, "But what is the relation?"

"The situation bro." John Dory replied turning his head almost entirely at Branch, giving him a serious look, Branch still did not understand at all.

Clay cleared his throat and spoke in a goofy voice, "When a gentleman bows down on one knee and shows a lady the brightest of jewels."

Branch's eyes widened and his cheeks went redder than King Gristle's iris, "OH YES THAT. OH YEAH, HOW COULD I FORGET." Branch groped his pockets and pulled out a small box with a smiling scrapbook troll on top of it, "Phew."

"Aww." Floyd smiled at him giving him a soft hug, "You're gonna do great bro."

"I have no idea how and where to start..." Branch sat on the floor and expressed, "I'm the one person that is supposed to know what she will like but I've got nothing but a blank."

"That's what brothers are for." Spruce walked up to him and leaned against his shoulder, "You see when I proposed to Brandi... I could feel my guts wrapping up... The felt of my skin was standing tower than a skyscraper..."

"Dang!" The Skyscraper Troll cussed from inside Branch's scientific laboratory. John Dory shut the door and locked them in, "Can you even with those guys?" He scoffed and went back to place."

Spruce sighed disappointed by that situation in particular, "Anyways, what I mean is... I planned this big event and it was actually pretty decent but I was so confident it would work. But when the time came I couldn't even think straight... And that's good."

"How?!" Branch asked as he hugged his own knees.

"Because just like when you perform." Spruce touched Branch's chest and said, "The butterflies in your stomach mean you have the greater love in your heart."

"Is it just me or was that actually decent?" John Dory whispered in Clay's ear, surprised by the sudden wise words coming out of his brother's mouth.

"Never underestimate your family." Floyd responded with the greatest confidence in the world.

John Dory shrugged it off looking back at the discography, "That reminds me we have a performance to handle tonight."

"Yeah." Clay sipped from his coffee as he wrote down the finances for Branch's bunker, "Unless Branch is going to replace us with his backup band."

Branch laughed awkwardly at the mention of his secret boy band, "Don't worry I won't be doing that. Family comes first." He was calmer now that he soothed the situation down, "Plus they're on a tour at the moment and they know I can't stand a minute away from Poppy."

"We noticed." Spruce responded teasingly, thinking of his wife and kids back at Vacay Island.

"THIS IS IT." John Dory exclaimed with all his might. He raised the album up in the air as sparkles and shiny spots appeared all over it.

Floyd put on his reading glasses and narrowed his eyes as he attempted to read what was written on the label, "Am I the only one who can't see it?"

"Uhm no..." Branch allowed his brother to move aside as he swiped the dust off of the disco, "Dang I never thought I'd see this one again..."

"Is it the one we dedicated to Grandma?" Clay asked carelessly before being silenced by Spruce and Floyd.

"Not now Clay!" John Dory yelled at him in his usual tone, "Is this okay Branch? This might be a trigger to you."

"Yeah, I'm cool with it." Branch cleared his throat, assuming it wouldn't be that much of a problem, "How bad could it possibly be?"

"Not worse than the day we fell apart." John Dory expressed, that he didn't mean it but it did not sound careful to him. He took a deep sigh as he knew what was coming, "Fine. I deserve it."

Branch, Spruce, and Clay walked up to him and pulled his underwear all the way to the top, giving him an extremely uncomfortable wedgie.
