Weeks went by and Poppy and Branch kept hanging out secretly away from the village since everyone wouldn't want to see them together. Luckily, for Poppy, she found out that her closest friends did support her in loving Branch and all agreed that they are the perfect couple. But when Poppy wasnt with Branch and just out and about the village, the complaints were really taking a toll on her. But she knew she loved Branch more than anything and she was not going to leave him. She wouldnt do that. She couldn't do that. She'd not only break Branch's heart, but also break her own heart. Peppy went to see how his daughter was doing. "So, how's things with you and Branch?" He asked. "Dad, he and I are fine. It's the other trolls who dont support me." Poppy answered. "Honey, don't listen to them." Peppy tried to comfort. "Dad, i'm the leader. If I don't listen to them, i'll be seen as a bad queen... But at the same time, I love Branch." Poppy explained. "Well then I don't know what to do but all I'm saying is that you and Branch are a perfect couple." Peppy said. Poppy still was upset. So she took a late night walk which always calmed her nerves. It was late. Real late. Nobody else was awake, nobody else to complain to her about her dating Branch, just herself. She sat by a tree and watched the little village before letting out a sigh. It was so peaceful, so quiet, and so cold. "What are you doing out here so late?" Asked a voice. Poppy gasped in fear. "Who said that?!" She asked in fear. "It waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssss......me." Cloud Guy said coming down from a tree. "Cloud Guy! Long time no see." Poppy greeted. "Likewise. So answer my question. What are you doing out here so late?" Cloud Guy questioned. "Oh I just needed to clear my mind." Poppy answered. "Huh, OK. You seem lonely." Cloud Guy said. "Well that's what my people apparently want me to be." Poppy replied. "What do you mean?" Cloud Guy asked as he sat down next to her. "N... Nothing." Poppy answered before resting her head on her knees. Staring at the village. Cloud Guy didnt say anything. But he knew something was wrong. Poppy wanted someone to talk to. But she didn't talk to Cloud Guy about her situation for some reason. She didnt think it was necessary. She thought it was her problem when in reality it really wasnt. "Are you sure you're OK?" Cloud Guy asked with concern. "I guess. But I don't want talk about it." Poppy replied. "OK." Cloud Guy respected. The 2 just sat there for a few minutes. "Well, I better be getting back. See ya." Poppy said. "Yeah. Good night." Cloud Guy replied before the 2 went there separated. Poppy was angry at herself that she didn't talk to him. Her chance to get someone else's opinion aside from her friends or dad. As she made her way back to her pod, she saw a letter. It was from Branch. He wanted to treat her to dinner on friday. It was thursday so there was time. She sent a letter back saying "Yes" and tried to sleep. But she couldnt. All she could think about was the things that the other trolls had said. They were so hurtful but she didn't want to leave Branch. But the stress was getting to her. Really getting to her. She barely slept that night.
