"Don't worry. I have a general rule to stay away from sharp things." Toby assured us.

"Stop toying with the children and fight one of your one kind." Nomura challenged facing Draal as Gunmar made his way towards us. I had to admire Nomura's bravery right there. She stood in front of us as Gunmar growled, "You are not my kind, Impure." The two began their battle and Nomura shouted, "Go!"

We found a path and made our way towards it. Jim and I helped Claire and Toby down onto the path, but, as we were about to go down, Gunmar was knocked into us as he was engaging in battle with Nomura. We were knocked almost to the edge of the cliff. I helped Jim up and questioned, "Are you okay?" Jim nodded, but our attention was diverted as Gunmar threw a large boulder towards Nomura and the boulder pinned her to the ground. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Toby and Claire make their way towards her. But, that wasn't our only problem. Gunmar was making his way towards Jim and I.

Gunmar's attention wasn't on me though. His target was my little brother. I stepped forward and said, "Stay behind me, Jim." I was about to summon the power to turn the tides of battle, but, before I could do anything, Gunmar tossed me to the side and demanded, "I have waited centuries. Tell me... where is the Bridge?"

"No!" My brother shouted and screamed in pain as Gunmar lifted his blade over Jim and was trying to take over his mind.

"Jim!" I screamed. I lifted the Thriskule into the air hoping to distract Gunmar and proclaimed, "For the glory of Merlin and Morgana, the power to turn the tides of battle is mine to command!" The familiar green light enveloped me and I was encased in the Thriskule's armor once more. This got Gunmar's attention and I heard Jim yell, "Monica, no!"

"The Wielder? You were foolish to come here." Gunmar stated.

I could almost sense the Thriskule asking what my target was and I locked my eyes onto Gunmar. I need a goal. I want to keep Gunmar away from Jim and the others so that we can get out of here. As Gunmar charged towards me, I could sense what the Thriskule wanted me to do. I ducked just in time as Gunmar attempted to strike me. I observed my surroundings, attempting to determine what the next best choice would be, then willed my bow to transform into daggers. I turned around and locked blades with Gunmar.

"You have grown strong, Wielder, but you have barely scratched the surface on what the Thriskule can do." Gunmar said. He jumped back and we circled one another. My eyes darted everywhere to try and find a solution to get out of this situation. Then, I sensed what the Thriskule wished for me to do and I listened. I backed away from Gunmar trusting that the Thriskule was right. Gunmar growled, "Are you backing out of the fight? You are a coward."

"I'm no coward. I just know when to expect an oncoming attack." I said. I turned my head towards Aaarrrgghh who charged in. The armor disappeared and I could no longer sense the Thriskule's wisdom. I guess this means that Aaarrrgghh was the distraction we needed to escape Gunmar. I could feel the wave of exhaustion coming over me. My legs felt like Jell-O and I was trying to do everything in my power just to keep upright. Somehow, I was able to make my way towards Claire, Toby, and Nomura.

"Master Jim! Master Jim, you're alive!" Blinky exclaimed. I started to pant and Jim asked, "Monica, are you okay?"

"I'll be fine. It's just a side effect of turning the tides of battle. Let's get moving." I said and began climbing towards Blinky.

As we were climbing, Aaarrrgghh was thrown back into the rock wall, which shook everything from the impact. Gunmar and Aaarrrgghh were conversing with each other as they fought, but I wasn't paying to much attention to that due to climbing. Jim helped me get to the top and I helped him the rest of the way. Just in time to hear Gunmar shout, "Still, would you rather die?"

"Done that." Aaarrrgghh stated. He grabbed a hold of Gunmar's horns and threw him against the wall. The impact caused several rocks to fall on top of Gunmar and bury him. This will buy us enough time to escape.

"Way to go, Aaarrrgghh!" I cheered along with Toby.

"Aha! Excelsior! But no time to celebrate. Let's make haste." Blinky said bringing us back to the situation at hand. Aaarrrgghh grabbed a hold of Toby, Jim, and I and carried us to towards the others. We continued to climb with the Gumm-Gumm's right on our tail. I was struggling climbing the rock wall, but I was able to keep going. Come on, Monica. Just keep climbing. You're almost to the top. I looked above me to see Jim struggling to carry Nomura.

"Almost there, guys! Gotta keep moving! Time's running out!" Toby exclaimed. As if we needed that reminder, Toby. Suddenly, Jim and Nomura nearly fell, but Jim was able to catch hold of a small rock and managed to keep a hold of Nomura, but barely.

"There's no time for the this, Jimbo. We've got to keep moving." Toby urged.

"We're not leaving her." Jim said.

"Listen to them, Little Gynt. I'm only slowing you down." Nomura said.

"But I-- But I told you that we were both getting out of here." Jim encouraged.

"It was a nice thought. I'll hold off as many as I can. Go!" Nomura ordered, then she let go of Jim and I watched she fell past me.

"No!" Jim shouted. Suddenly, the small rock that I was holding onto broke. I was barely able to get a hold onto another one, but I had fallen way behind. I was only few feet above the Gumm-Gumms. I regained my breath and looked to see Jim trying to reach for me. He yelled, "Come on, Mo! You can do it! I won't lose anyone else."

I was so far behind. I don't think that I will be able to make it. I also couldn't just leave Nomura. I looked towards the others at the top and said, "Get Jim out of here."

"Monica, no!" Jim exclaimed.

"I'm sorry, Jim." I said and let go. I could see that Jim was about to jump after me, but Aaarrrgghh caught a hold of him and brought him to the others who had made it top. Since I was only a few feet from the ground, my landing wasn't terribly painful and I rolled right next to Nomura, who was surprised to see me.

"What are you doing here?" Nomura questioned as the Gumm-Gumms surrounded us.

"Well, I couldn't just leave you here by yourself. After all, you kept my brother safe here in the Darklands and I sort of owe you one since I did... um... banish you here." I explained as I stood up and brushed the dust off of my pants.

"You have guts. I'll give you that." Nomura said, then we turned our attention back towards Gumm-Gumms who were dangerously close and ready to attack. Nomura drew her sword and I willed the bow to transform into daggers. Nomura and I stood back to back and Nomura said, "Okay, boys... Let's dance."

After a few moments of fighting, I noticed the gyre coming straight for us. I smiled broadly as I knew that person driving it had to be Draal. Then, I heard Jim shout, "Nomura, Monica!" Claire and Jim were extending their hands towards us. I grabbed ahold of Claire's hand as Nomura grabbed Jim's and they pulled us inside. Suddenly, we did a roller coaster loop and we were on the right path heading straight for the Bridge. We were going to make it.

"The Bridge! It's closing!" Draal exclaimed.

"Go! Go!" Jim shouted.

Suddenly, one of the colossal worm-like creatures appeared and blocked our exit and Blinky yelled, "A Nyarlagroth!"

"Don't stop!" Jim ordered.

"This will do some damage!" Draal informed us and switched to a faster gear. We headed straight for the creature and as the creature opened it's mouth, we sped straight into it. We didn't miss a beat as the gyre tore the beast apart from the inside without stopping and the gyre was able to tear out of the creature halfway through.

"Faster! It's closing!" Claire exclaimed. We were engulfed in blinding light and Aaarrrgghh grabbed a hold of Claire, Toby, and I as we crashed against a large boulder and shielded us. When the world finally stopped spinning, I could see that we did it. We made it out of the Darklands! Jim jumped down from the gyre and collapsed onto the ground in joy. I smiled overjoyed that we made it out alive.

Then, I saw a hand extend towards me and I turned to see Draal. I took his hand and as he helped me down from the gyre, he said, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, Draal. Thank you. You saved our lives." I said and placed a kiss on his cheek.

The two of us grinned broadly, then we heard a grunt behind us. We turned to see Nomura getting out of the gyre and we came over and helped her down. She turned to me and muttered, "Thanks..." Then walked off, leaving Draal and I kind of speechless.

Finally, I stated out loud, "I don't know what I was expecting, but that went better than expected."

"My thoughts exactly." Draal concurred.

"I know one thing for certain. I hope to never see the likes of that Bridge again." Blinky said while clutching onto Toby. Toby started groaning incoherently into Blinky's chest. To finalize this statement, I saw Aaarrrgghh destroyed what remained of the Bridge. This seemed to snap everyone of their shock and prompting Toby to exclaim, "Awesome sauce!" We all collided into a group hug, except for Nomura who sat on a rock not far away, and Draal who patted Aaarrrgghh on the shoulder.

"It's so, so good to see you guys!" Jim exclaimed. He turned to Nomura and asked, "You want in?"

"That's not my thing. Thank you, little Gynt. I have to hand it to you, you were right." Nomura said.

"About what?" Jim asked.

"Hope. Friends. Family." Nomura answered.

"I believe this belongs to you, Master Jim." Blinky stated and handed Jim his amulet. Jim held the amulet for a moment before it started to glow. Jim was lifted into the air and his Eclipse armor was transformed back into his Daylight armor. He sighed as he landed back on the grounded and said, "Feels good to have this back."

Then, Jim walked over to a nearby boulder and climbed to the top taking in the morning light and the fresh air. Claire climbed onto the rock after him and she quickly embraced him while saying, "I missed you." The two kissed each other and while I was on the verge of tears of joy, I heard Draal next to me say in disgust, "Ugh! A savage custom."

"Absolutely." Nomura agreed. I froze. I mean, I knew Draal didn't the idea of it, but I didn't realize that it repulsed him so much. I tried to push it from my mind with little effect, and after Jim and Claire separated, Jim replied, "I missed you too."

Claire added, "You've also missed a few showers."

"Let's get rid of this Bridge once and for all!" Blinky proclaimed.

"Ha! Just wait until Troll market gets a load of Jim and Aaarrrgghh." Then, Toby gasped, "Oh no! The tribunal! They're going to go crazy town banana pants when they find out what we've been up to!" I froze when I also realized that Mom is going to freak out due to Jim and I being gone for a whole day.

"Frankly, who cares. We have our Trollhunter back." Blinky stated.

I stepped forward and extended my hand towards Jim and asked, "Are you ready to go home and see Mom?"

Jim smiled and nodded.
