The Xenomorph(picture above) is a bioengineered alien creature that live similar to ants; many Xenomorphs serving their mother the Queen Xenomorph. They live to survive and reproduce and are some of the best at stealth, hunting, and agility. Though they don't seem to have any visual eyes, they can see everything we can and can see in total darkness, much like a cat. They also have acid blood, a double-edged sword for the Xenomorph. Too great an injury can result in it's internal organs to melt, leaving only it's exoskeleton. Its probably because of it's own blood that Xenomorphs have a fear and weakness to fire.

For many Xenomorphs, the first stage of life is hatching out of their eggs. After that the baby alien, known as a Facehugger, must quickly find a host to "face hug." This stage of the Xenomorph looks like a giant baby scorpion with many crab-like legs and a extra long, thin tail for wrapping around it's host's neck and head, hence the name Facehugger. For me, their the only truly terrifying aspect of the Xenomorph(😵😱). After clinging to a host, say a human, they, I'm not sure exactly, inject something into it's host? I'd rather not know. The host is usually unconscious during this, thank god, but some are unlucky enough to be awake while a baby alien grows in their chest. After a few hours, I think, the Xenomorph erupts from the host's chest, killing them, and from there grows to the Xenomorphs you see in the picture. Some Xenomorphs are fortunate enough to become Queen of their own colony. As said previously, on rare occasions a Xenomorph will be born male, which means they can't reproduce, at least not like the other Xenomorphs, who are female.

There are multiple varieties of Xenomorph. There is the common Xenomorph, which is what we see most of. Then there's the queen. There are also Neo Xenomorphs, which are stronger and larger than most of their kind, obeying only the queen of course. Then there are Runner Xenomorphs, which are born from the result of a Facehugger attaches itself to a dog instead of a human, and are faster then others of their kind. As seen in Alien: Resurrection, when the Xenomorph substance called SGOO makes contact with a human fetus, it becomes a more mammal like Xenomorph that doesn't lay eggs unlike the rest of its kind. SGOO makes up much of the more altered Xenomorph species. When SGOO makes contact with any other living thing, say a worm, it adapts to the world around it and becomes stronger through evolution, eventually becoming Xenomorphs. When contacting a worm, it becomes a spore emitting plant version of the Facehugger, and when the spores contact a human being, it either kills them or turns them into zombie like creatures, which later becomes the common Xenomorph.
